The Space:
Hook
Parkview 903 is a light-filled three-bedroom apartment in Brunswick, set beside the green lawns of Clifton Park and Gilpin Park. From the balcony you see treetops first, then the Melbourne skyline. Families, work teams and long-stay guests get a real home, a short walk from Sydney Road.
The Space
The open-plan living and dining room has a deep leather modular lounge, a dining table for six and big windows with a glass door onto the balcony. The 55-inch TV has a PS5 for the evenings.
The kitchen has an oven, electric cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso machine, toaster and kettle, with a baking sheet and cooking basics. Central heating and cooling keeps every room comfortable in a Melbourne winter or a hot north wind.
The balcony has an outdoor dining setting. It is the natural spot for the first coffee of the day.
Sleeping Arrangements
Three bedrooms, each with a queen bed and hotel-quality linen. The main bedroom has its own ensuite, and a second bathroom serves the other two rooms. Black-out blinds, extra pillows and blankets, and wardrobes throughout. A cot, travel cot, high chair and children's tableware are always in the apartment.
Work and Connectivity
Fast Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace in the apartment. Downstairs, the building has work-from-home office space and a meeting room, so a team on a project can work together without a café. Washer and dryer are in the apartment, and long stays are welcome.
Building Amenities
Residents share a gym, a cinema and games room, an outdoor deck with BBQ and dining tables, communal dining spaces and a kitchen and lounge. Lift access, secure entry, one free garage space on site plus free street parking. Pets are allowed.
The Neighbourhood
The building stands on the old Hoffman brickworks quarry, and the heritage chimneys are a short walk away. Clifton Park and Gilpin Park wrap around it, and the Upfield Bike Path runs north to Coburg and south to Princes Park. Riders can also pick up the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail to the west.
Sydney Road is Brunswick's main street. A1 Bakery has made Lebanese pizzas and falafel since 1992, Very Good Falafel lives up to its name, and Tiba's is a family-run Lebanese institution. Balha's Pastry does the baklava. Mediterranean Wholesalers stocks the pasta and cheese. At night, the Brunswick Green and the Brunswick Ballroom cover drinks and live music.
For shopping, Barkly Square has the supermarkets. Brunswick Baths on Dawson Street has a 50-metre outdoor pool, an indoor pool and a gym.
Over on Lygon Street in Brunswick East, Rumi is one of Melbourne's best-loved Middle Eastern restaurants, and CERES Community Environment Park has an organic market and café by the Merri Creek Trail.
Parkville is a short drive south. The Royal Children's Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Women's Hospital are all there, next to the University of Melbourne, which makes this a handy base for medical and academic stays. Royal Park and Melbourne Zoo are on the same side of town, and Ikon Park at Princes Park in Carlton North hosts Carlton and the AFLW.
Getting around is easy. Jewell and Brunswick stations are on the Upfield line, and the route 19 tram runs down Sydney Road to the Queen Victoria Market and the Melbourne CBD. Melbourne Airport is usually under half an hour by car via CityLink and the Tullamarine Freeway outside peak hour.
