About this property

Inglenook — Japanese bathhouse | forest retreat | wood fires | separate studio

* Price includes full access to Main House and Japanese bathhouse for 4 guests. Up to 2 additional guests at $60 per night per person automatically includes Studio in booking. The studio is available as an add on for smaller groups - please read full listing below.

The name says it all. An inglenook is the snug nook beside the hearth — and that's the feeling woven through every room.

On Weedon Hill, where karri and marri trees frame every window and the bush hums with birdsong, Inglenook is a quietly extraordinary retreat. Architecturally designed and lovingly crafted from warm, honey-toned timber, this is a home that asks you to settle in — light the wood fire, soak in the Japanese bathhouse, and let the forest do the rest.

A home of three distinct spaces
Inglenook is laid out as three connected pavilions, linked by outsied covered timber decks. It's ideal for a romantic getaway for two, or two couples travelling together, a family wanting room to breathe, or anyone who loves the rhythm of moving between gathering and retreating.

MAIN HOUSE
The heart of the home. A soaring cathedral ceiling, exposed beams, and tall windows draw the forest indoors. A country kitchen with handcrafted live-edge timber benchtops anchors the open-plan dining and lounge, where a long timber table seats the whole house for shared meals. Curl up by the wood-burning fire with the leather sofa and a smart TV or games and books for cosy evenings in. For those who need to stay connected, there's a dedicated workstation that is private, but still connected to the open living area.

There is 1 bathroom with a shower & toilet in the main house. Upstairs, two queen bedrooms tucked beneath pitched timber ceilings invite deep, quiet sleep — paper-lantern lighting, crisp linen, and treetop views through the windows. at ground level there is a deck with gas BBQ off the main living area and off the studio but available to all guests, and an outdoor dining table under cover.

THE JAPANESE BATH HOUSE
A glass-walled pavilion housing a deep soaking tub, surrounded on one side by bush canopy and the other, bamboo. Turn on the heater, fill the tub and you'll be blissfully soaking, connected to nature.

THE STUDIO
The third self-contained pavilion with its own queen bedroom and bathroom (shower & toilet), plus a kitchenette set up for morning coffee and toast. A second living room with a wood fire opens up beneath a vaulted timber ceiling with a mezzanine loft reading nook reached by steep timber stairs. The loft is a quiet daytime retreat for reading and reflection, with views out into the canopy. The studio is automatically included in rates for groups of 5 or more. *Smaller groups may add the studio to their booking for $120 per night.

THE SETTING
Inglenook sits within natural bushland gardens — no manicured lawns, just the way the karri forest wants to grow. Granite outcrops, native ferns, wildflowers in season, and a constant flow of birdlife. The deck is the perfect spot for morning coffee or a sundowner as the light filters through the trees.
Weedon Hill is one of Denmark's most beautiful, elevated pockets, with glimpses of Wilson Inlet through the canopy and easy access to both town, coast and walking trails including the world renowned Bibbulmun Track.
