Secluded Wooden Cabin with Barbecue in Daylesford, Victoria
The accommodation is the ultimate couples country retreat for guests looking to experience a “digital detox” in this eco-friendly, carbon-neutral cabin in the woods. The property allows visitors the freedom to disconnect from the chaos of our everyday lives and reconnect with nature and each other. The accommodation is a semi-off-grid cabin set in the luscious bushland of Wheatsheaf halfway between Daylesford and Glenlyon.
Take an adventure in nature, roast marshmallows by the campfire or bathe in the outdoor bath tub as you gaze at stars and soak it all in.
It is a cozy wood cabin complete with mains power, split system heating/cooling, wood fire, kitchenette and outdoor bathtub. The cabin is configured as an open plan studio style room with separate bathroom with shower and toilet. The property runs off tank water, as well as bottle gas for the hot water so we ask that guests use all amenities conscientiously to ensure supply doesn’t run out during your stay.
The accommodation is nestled amongst the gumtrees, sharing it’s home with native flora and fauna including koalas, wombats, possums, wallabies, kangaroos and countless bird types. Due to the semi-off-grid nature of this property there are a few things to note before your stay:
This property is best suited to resourceful guests who are familiar with a glamping style set-up - lighting fires, swinging an axe and understanding rural courtesies.
Mobile/WIFI reception can be poor. You can get a signal at either end of Mary Rd.
Due to the rural setting amongst the dense bushland, it is imperative that fires are extinguished properly when leaving the fire unattended and that all rubbish be taken with you when departing.
Standard fire safety rules and restrictions apply and are enforceable by law.
