its a lovely clean house with comfortable beds ( although fold out bed is only basic ikea one so only best for a child). Quality is inline with the price and location. Kym was great in terms of communication

The online photos showed 3 bedrooms , 2 with double beds and 1 with two singles, but only 2 bedrooms were available. The double bead was small for 2 adults @nd only had a double bed doona which meant one of us didn’t have bedding. My husband ended up sleeping in the pulled out couch so we could both get some sleep. The house was not overly clean. Lots of dust, my husband cleaned the laundry sink and I cleaned the bathroom sink. Lots of dust on the Venetians and had to empty part of the freezer to put our food in. Too much of the owners stuff everywhere and far too many rules. Do not light the fire as there was very little wood and said you would to either bring your own it you would have to pay for the wood used. Also asked to be careful with power use as it was on solar. Was very cold so we used the heaters as much as we needed. The house was in a great location away from the hustle and bustle and perfect for our grandkids. Castlemaine was just a 10-15 min drive away. Great walking area, nice and flat.

Thank you for your feedback, Elizabeth. We are glad your grandchildren enjoyed the location, but we would like to clarify a few points regarding the property layout and amenities. Our listing is accurately described as a 2-bedroom home. For the second bedroom, guests have the option of a king or twin configuration, and we ensure a double doona along with two king blankets are provided for comfort in the double room. The fold-out couch also has its own dedicated linen set available. We will review our photos to ensure this layout is as clear as possible online. Regarding the freezer space, the bread you noticed was actually freshly frozen local bread left intentionally as a complimentary breakfast item for your stay—being a regional property, we freeze it to keep it fresh for our guests' arrival. Our home is an authentic, eco-friendly country property powered by solar energy, which we find appeals greatly to environmentally conscious travellers. We also provide a starter supply of complimentary firewood for the fireplace, with options to arrange more or bring your own. We take cleanliness seriously and will review this to ensure our high standards are met.
