We’re Bri & Daryl — lifelong travellers, seasoned renovators and serial rescuers of beautiful old homes. We spent eight and a half wonderful years living in Spain and have travelled extensively around the world, building and restoring properties in France, Vanuatu, Australia and New Zealand along the way.

Lady Geraldine is our latest labour of love. We adore taking places with history and character and bringing their beauty back to life — creating homes that feel warm, individual and a little bit special. After decades of renovating, we’ve learned that it’s often the smallest details that make the biggest difference.

More than anything, we love creating places we’d be excited to discover on our own travels. Lady G is exactly that, and we hope you enjoy her as much as we’ve enjoyed bringing her to life. 🤍

Why We Chose Geraldine

After years of travelling the world and living in some pretty special places, we know when somewhere just feels good — and Geraldine did. We fell for its beautiful tree-lined streets, friendly village atmosphere and that wonderful feeling of being tucked away in the countryside while still having great cafés, restaurants and little shops within walking distance.

We also love where Geraldine sits — perfectly placed between Christchurch and the Mackenzie Country, with mountains, lakes and some of the South Island’s most spectacular scenery on the doorstep. It has that rare combination of being somewhere you can slow down, yet there’s plenty to discover when you feel like venturing out.

For us, Lady Geraldine and Geraldine simply belonged together. 🤍

Lady Geraldine isn’t your typical holiday rental. She’s a beautifully restored character villa with her own gorgeous guest house, set amongst established private gardens and designed as an adults-only escape.

Book the entire property and she’s all yours — beautifully dressed beds, a New Zealand-made cedar hot tub under the stars, cosy wood fire, heating and air conditioning, generous outdoor spaces and plenty of little corners to disappear into with a wine or a good book.

We’ve spent decades restoring homes around the world, and Lady G has everything we’ve learned along the way poured into her — character, comfort, thoughtful details and just the right amount of personality. She’s been transformed and polished within an inch of her life. She has history, soul and a little bit of sass.
