The kitchen was reasonably set up. The pans were plentiful but didn’t have covers for all sizes.There was ample room for 4 people. We really enjoyed the sun room in the morning. The location of the home was perfect. We can walk to the beach and restaurants in 10-15 minutes.There were many restaurants in Salema and everyone that we tried was very good. The big grocery store was only 10 minutes away as was the gas station.

Great place to stay in Salema Village

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Boa Vida in Salema Village. Lots of space, kid friendly, walking distance to the beach, with lots of great restaurants in the village. The hosts are very responsive and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to make meals at home. It also has some great views of the ocean. Highly recommend!

Great location for a paired down vacation

Great location. The hosts are very friendly and supportive. If you intend to use the internet beware that the signal is very weak and nonexistent much of the time

Great Stay

This property was great for us to spread out and enjoy the algarve. Great restaurants and beaches within walking distance. We loved the hand drawn maps for surrounding hikes and beaches. It was great for kids. Our daughter loved the bunk bed and toys. They had kid accommodations we haven't seen other places like a potty seat, toddler chair, etc.

We were 2 female travelers who enjoyed our stay at Angelika's lovely home. High ceilings and big living room and master bedroom. TV worked will with U Tube Nice kitchenGarden area lovely.Town was just what we wanted. Variety of restaurants that were very good. Mini markets had everything. Small atmosphereWalk to town was 10 minutes on a hilly roadI had to stop a few times when walking back up to the Villa Legs got really strong from this exercise!Master bedroom a delight. Second bedroom 1/2 the size but adequate. Very nice sunroom for an afternoon napBeaches were clean and scenic in townDriveway not an option as the entry was a challenge.Street parking very convenientMy friend would like a return visit to this Villa with herson's family That says it all!Thank you to Angelika who was always available andextremely helpful

Great location and comfortable, spacious house

Nearby nature reserve, walks and beaches were fantastic at this time of year when tourism is low. But much of the town and neighbouring Figuiera shuts down over the Christmas holidays, so be prepared for limited restaurant options. In our view the quiet and uncrowded conditions then make up for any of these inconveniences.

Beautiful outdoor space

The highlight of this house is the backyard : trees and birds, plenty of space to sit and relax, with shade and sun. A short walk from one of many beaches. Very easy communication with Michal and Angelika.

Lovely stay in Salema

Wonderful place to stay, fully meets expectations. Spacious, clean, kitchen is well equipped, and back garden is a lovely place to eat or read. We hiked/ran portions of Fisherman's trail in both directions, with day trips to beaches/hikes on West coast. Salema's beach is very nice, as are hidden beaches to the West - host's maps are great. Salema is a quiet little town and great place to relax. One caution, everything is close but condo is right at the top of a steep hill - when we were too lazy to walk it was a 1min drive down.

Lovely home!

The property is as described and shown. We felt very comfortable here during our 1 month stay. Loved the interior and back garden area. Loads of space. Kitchen was well equipped and we appreciated all the other extras that were available, including the avacado tree that was providing fruit! Hiking and beach were great...the hand drawn maps were very useful for exploring. Hosts were helpful and very responsive. We would definitely stay again!

Spacious house in a good location

Lovely spacious house with sea views from the rear. House was well equipped with pleasant terraced garden. Lots of walks to do from the property and the beach and restaurants are 10 min walk away. The gate entrance to the drive is narrow and our rented SUV was too wide to risk any scratches but parking space directly across the road. Challenge to get consistent hot water for all the family in the morning but splitting the showering arrangements between morning and evening worked better.

Fantastic property in an amazing location

We have just come back from an amazing holiday staying at Casa Boa Vida. Salema is a fantastic place with a very relaxed atmosphere, there are plenty of good places to eat and the blue flag beach is clean, quiet and very picturesque. The House is a short 5 to 10 minute walk from the beach and is maintained to a very high standard with a beautiful garden/patio area at the rear. The property is very family friendly, with toys, books and games which was great for our two year old son. There are balconies in two of the bedrooms and a spacious living area and dining room downstairs. The kitchen is well equipped, there are a couple of small supermarkets within 5 minutes walking distance and a larger supermarket about 5 minute drive away. I would highly recommend this property and hope to visit again soon!

Exceeded expectations

We loved Casa Boa Vida and Salema. Before we arrived Michal answered our questions about the house and the area thoroughly and right away. Directions to the house were easy to follow and we loved the detailed hand-drawn maps of the surrounding area. Restaurant recommendations were helpful and accurate. The house itself is spacious and airy. I especially loved the quiet I found sitting on the patio and balcony, as well as inside the house. House is spacious, well stocked and everything is labeled well so it’s easy to find what you need. We loved everything about our stay at casa boa vida! I really can’t believe my luck in finding Michal snd Angelika’s home for what felt like 5 days in paradise.

Wonderful place in Salema

We had a wonderful stay in this property. It's very spacious and well furnished. Owners are great to communicate with and shared lots of helpful information for the area. We loved the boardgames and books. As mentioned in the other posts it is a bit of a climb back from the beach - but nothing really bad. Loved the bike rental place a stone throw away - really nice business. We did some very nice bike trips to the other beaches in the area. We also used the pool in the vacation village 100m away a few times - no one complained and it was very empty. The wifi is not always super stable if you have to work / do video conferences. Fortunately I had a wifi repeater to pick up a wifi close by. And be careful with the driving your car through the entrance gate - make sure to enter forward from uphill :) Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Large home in the perfect town!

We stayed at Casa Boa Vida for two weeks in June 2015. First, Salema is by far our favorite town in the Algarve. We stayed in Sagres once before and visited many beaches and towns throughout the Algarve. Salema is perfect in every way. The beach is beautiful and the water was warm and not too rough to swim in with our little one. The house is enormous and was more than enough room for our family of 4 with a teenager and toddler. The beds were comfortable, hot water always worked and kitchen stocked with basics. We really enjoyed coming home after a long day at the beach or travelling around. We made meals and ate outside in the back yard. Beautiful views of the ocean. The walk to town/beach is very close, but it is a steep hill. It was not a problem for us, but plan to take your time. Do yourself a favor and eat at O'Lourenco's and Pizza Mobile (one of our favorite daily spots). Angelika was so helpful through the booking process and always available. The house has many books and maps and a great welcome book with hand drawn maps of walks and would took advantage and explored the area. The house is convenient to everything you need. We would love to stay again!

Beautiful home in a small seaside village

Lovely home, immaculately kept with all the amenities you could require. Fatima was lovely to deal with and helpful with any questions we had. The front bedroom is quite loud, so if you are light sleepers you will need earplugs. You definitely need a car to get around, if you want to explore outside of Salema, but easy enough area to navigate. The driveway was nerve wracking to get into and out of (it’s a tight fit) but we managed to not scratch the rental! The brochure could be updated - some of the restaurants were no longer in business and when asked for assistance on renting a car, they couldn’t offer any (but it says they would in the brochure). Checking in was a bit tricky because we we’re told we had to call (not text) the housekeeper ahead of time to let us in, and have 100 euros for a deposit. Our euro SIM card wasn’t working well, but thankfully we could Skype her. We then had to set up a time the day we left to get back the deposit. Just found it a bit tedious. Aside from those minor details we highly recommend staying here! It’s very spacious relaxing spot with beautiful gardens and views!

Eine sehr schöne familiär Eingerichtete Unterkunft. Angefangen in einer voll ausgestatteten Küche mit hochwertigen Küchengeräten bis zu einem liebevoll eingerichtetem Wohnzimmer mit zahlreichen Spielen und Büchern. Strandspielzeug und diverse Surfbretter sind ebenfalls vorhanden und müssen nicht gekauft / mitgebracht werden. Ein Hochstuhl und Babybett sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Der kleine Garten lädt zum erkunden ein und man kann bis spät abends draußen sitzen. Wir waren zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

Decidimos passar uns dias no Algarve espontaneamente e a Casa Boa Vida foi uma optima escolha para a nossa pequena escapada. Adorámos a atmosfera da casa em geral, e eu especialmente gostei do terraço ahah que me serviu perfeita justificação para um dia preguiçoso nas espreguiçadeiras, sem comprometer os holiday vibesA casa vem equipada com os necessários do dia em dia, e achámos muito querido uma caderneta tipo Salema insider guide, que inclui mapas desenhados à mão e tudo. Como só ficámos uns dias não tivemos muita oportunidade de explorar, mas definitivamente fica pra próxima!A Salema também tem muito charme, um pouco rustico e típico aldeia de pescadores, mas alem dos restaurantes tradicionais também tem bares e restaurantes bem chiques, alguns bem além dos que temos na cidade até, o que foi uma bela surpresa.Um pequeno supermercado também não faz falta, mas mesmo assim recomendamos ter um carro à disposição, os horários dos autocarros são portugueses no Algarve também. De qualquer maneira foi bom saber que não é preciso pegar no carro só pra comprar café.Obrigada à Angelika e ao Michael, gostámos muito! Na próxima ficaremos mais tempo :)

Caro Michael e cara Angelika, que casa de temporada linda vocês têm!! Tivemos um feriado muito agrdável. A casa é muito bem decorada, espaçosa e bem conservada. A cozinha é totalmente equipada, como se estivéssemos em casa. Os colchões eram incrivelmente confortáveis. Como a casa fica em um ponto elevado, as varandas oferecem uma vista linda para o mar. Leva-se cerca de cinco minutos a pé até a praia, embora a volta demore um pouco mais devido à subida. :) Há muitos bons restaurantes e um supermercado na localidade. Tinha tudo de que precisávamos. A comunicação também foi direta e clara. Queremos de agradecer também pela grande quantidade de informações adicionais; foram muito úteis.Obrigado por estas férias maravilhosas!Adoraríamos voltar!

Wir haben uns sehr willkommen und zuhause gefühlt. Es war alles (und mehr) vorhanden, was man nur so brauchen könnte. Alles war super sauber. Von beiden Balkonen war das Meer zu sehen, die Betten waren super bequem und es gab Platz ohne Ende! Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern war einfach und sehr schnell. Wir können die Unterkunft unbedingt weiter empfehlen!
