Ted is a wonderful host. Very responsive to any question. The house is fantastic - we have been coming to the area for 50 years and this is the nicest place and the nicest host we have ever had. This is our third year here and we look forward to many more.

Our group, The Great Eight, have gone on many trips together, and this one was wonderful. The house more than met our expectations!! Lots of beds, great stocked kitchen, and the patio area was great. Ted answered questions quickly, and was easy to work with. We are looking at our calendars for next year !

Dishwasher did not work during our stay. Showers need grab bars shower bases slippery.

The Guest found the Dishwasher was not working days after check in. We called for Service, and they found you need to hit start twice to make it work. Sad...I Tried my best to make it work. As for grab bars, no one ever asked to have them, and this is the second time this guest visited, and did not bring up a need for a grab bar. I am disappointed here... They definately had great weather, and a wonderful stay, as they told me. AND this created a 4 star rating? One is a "Would you consider installing a grab bar" and the other was "not pushing the start button twice" ?

We absolutely LOVE our now… annual family vacation we take at this property!!! The house is clean, updated and more than enough room for all. The lake access from the house is a super extra bonus. Not many properties in the area have lake access right from the house. Ted is amazing to rent from. He’s attentive, easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Every year we have found more fun things to do in the area. Not only Cedar Point, and Put-in Bay, but Kelly’s island, the African Safari, close ice cream runs and new for us, the drive in movie theater not far away. Thank you Ted for another great year with unforgettable family memories!

We really enjoyed our family getaway at Beach Comber. It's a very nice large house with lots of room indoors and out. We wished the weather had been nice the whole week, but it's May in Ohio and "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit". The kitchen is well equipped for feeding your crew and a good laundry setup to keep them in clean clothes. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the wonderful views of the lake.

Another Great Stay

We have stayed at Beachcomber for the last 4 summers and have booked again for next year. Ted is a great host and is always quick to respond to a request. The house is clean and there is plenty of room for our large family.

Great place for a large family

We wanted a place big enough for our large family of 11and this was it. All rooms were good size and beds were very comfortable. The area is not touristy which is a bonus and the views of Lake Erie are spectacular. Ted is a great host and we will be booking this place again.

We have stayed in another property owned by Ted last summer. We chose beachcomber to have one more bedroom. This was perfect for our large extended family. Room for everyone and it had everything that was needed for a great Thanksgiving getaway. Great views, comfortable beds and furniture, tons of dishes and gadgets in the kitchen. We had a great time and even got to see the beach when the winds blew the lake to the eastern end. We've already rebooked it for late spring.

This was a great property: Nice, large house right on the lake as advertised. Ted was super responsive, friendly and available if we needed anything! There is a beach within walking distance, but we were hoping it would be a little more sandy, and just a head's up there is a nuclear power plant pretty rather close to the house as well.

A perfect place for us

A wonderful property on the shore of Lake Erie. The property is well appointed and had everything we were looking for in a rental. Plenty of room for everyone inside and out. The recent addition of a fire pit area was a welcomed surprise.
