We have completely renovated the entire first floor in our home that was built in 1902. Conveniently located in the Historic Fort Wood district, one block to UTC campus and less than 2 miles to downtown Chattanooga. You will have access to the entire first floor of our home. There is a separate entrance for the long term tenants living upstairs.  We provide free parking in the back of our home, for two vehicles.  We do have ring doorbells on both the front and back doors for added safety. Please note that you may encounter insects during your stay. We have our home sprayed for pests monthly, but in the South they are just a part of the beautiful nature surrounding our home. Weather conditions also vary. Expect muddy paths after rain, occasional dust, or high humidity. If you are not familiar with these elements, we kindly ask that you consider whether this stay is the right fit for you. We want all of our guests to enjoy their stay so please keep these things in mind.

This location works great for extra room since it is directly across the street from our family.

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, communication
Issues we had with this stay:Communication was poor. No responses via the virbo site. Had to text the daughter-in-law who would reply but did not follow through. TV in living room did not work and no one was sent to fix it. The A/C worked only half the time and no reply regarding this issue. House had at least two large cockroaches. Cupboard handles were sticky and the kitchen was not well appointed. There was no access through the front door and this was not shared prior to booking. The master bed has a very uncomfortable mattress that sinks in in the middle. Prior to checking in we were overcharged for cleaning and it appears this was corrected but not until brought to landlords attention. I will say we appreciated that the residence was scent free.

Monica, we sincerely apologize that your stay did not meet your expectations. We have addressed this matter with the TV and had it replaced as soon as our handyman was available. Our cleaners spent additional time cleaning the kitchen handles, thanks for that helpful tip. As far as the front door, you were allowed access but typically guests prefer using the back door since that's where you park your vehicle. We have our home sprayed monthly for pests and finding a few dead roaches means the spray is working, but with temperatures well in the 90's, unfortunately, they will still attempt to seek shelter indoors. As for the AC, it was working, but struggling to maintain cooler temperatures indoors with the heat index nearing 100 everyday during your stay. We did have our cleaners rewash all the linens, blankets, and towels in an attempt to provide you with a pleasant stay prior to your arrival to ensure it was scent free as per your request. We value your input and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a better experience in the future.
Great place for a quiet stay. Plenty of room for our family - the living room area was a nice place to relax and read. Great location and easy parking. Pat and Erin were great hosts. Would definitely stay again.
