Winter respite
This property was a cozy, low-key place to enjoy Coronado and San Diego for 6 weeks. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, it is walkable to several grocery options, restaurants, theaters (stage and screen), parks, beach, library, pharmacies, banks, etc. The nearest public transit stop is a 3-minute walk away and reliably connects to the greater San Diego area. The ferry dock for direct access to downtown SD is about a 20-minute walk.
The bungalow is part of a community of about 40 others clustered together on a half block in a residential part of Coronado. Though close in proximity, neighbors were quiet and respectful. The unit is equipped with everything needed to feel at home, including Wi-Fi, a smart TV, a secluded open-air patio and grill, and laundry facilities. The laundry room is in a secure, detached building with coin-operated machines.
The host was experienced, professional and responsive. They promptly replaced a defective hot water heater and provided an information binder with instructions for operating the TV, gas fireplace, and appliances. Check-in and out were clear and simple.
Online photos accurately represent the bungalow’s condition, but a few design elements have changed—still tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable for a long night’s rest. The indoor dimensions (less than 600 sf) are perfect for one and adequate for two people. Would definitely return to this property.
