The space was small but worked for 2 people. I felt like the shower head could use a good clean/scrub, and the toilet area was pretty tight so if you're a bigger person you might struggle. Still, for the cost and location it was stellar and very convenient. Would absolutely stay again!
This apartment was in an excellent neighborhood with a very short 5 minute walk to the Southfields tube station. It also is an easy 15 minute walk to the Wimbledon tennis courts. Please be aware that this is a very small apartment. The comfortable queen size bed takes up about half of the living space. The bathroom and shower are tiny, so it may be a problem for an over-sized person. But for a couple, it provides a good, convenient place to sleep and does have a gas range/oven and a microwave and small fridge. Can't really say anything negative about the place, other than be aware that it is small. Oh, one other thing, the street does not allow parking from 1:30 to 2:30 every weekday, so you can't leave a car parked there through the day while you take the tube to downtown London.
It was perfect and cozy! Highly recommend renting this place!

Overall this property is a great value for the price. Being so close to public transit is the #1 feature. I thought VRBO properties were supposed to be "the whole house," but this property is part of the host's home that she shares with other family members, so it had a different vibe. The first time we went out, when we returned, there was a handwritten note sitting on the kitchen counter regarding a concern with a window blind. It made us feel weird that someone was in the unit while we were gone. Of course, it's her property and she has the right to do that, but it felt weird. Before we arrived, it would take the host several days to reply to messages, which was a little frustrating. As others have said, there isn't a lot of space. The shower stall is literally smaller than a phone booth. There's this weird thing in the shower that is supposed to control the water flow and temperature but it doesn't work correctly and we ended up getting scalded a few times. Even though there is a kitchenette, there isn't really anything place to sit and eat. After we had been there for 24 hours, I noticed a fold up chair and table tucked away but there wasn't really any space to set them up. There is a machine that washes and dries your clothes (all in one) that was very useful for us, once I figured out how to use it. When we arrived, the host was asleep so her daughter checked us in. She forgot to mention a few things that the host seemed upset later that we didn't know about.

hank you for your review. I always welcome feedback so I can guarantee the most comfortable experience for my guests. I will address the feedback which is inaccurate so that future guests are clear.
The accommodation is clearly advertised as a Studio Apartment in the heading and in the description. It is commonly understood internationally, that a studio apartment is an independent separate living space. I do not host people I do not know inside my home with my family. I am at a loss to understand why this guest thought that she would be hosted inside my home with my family. The guest could have clarified this before booking but she did not.
The window blind was in perfect working condition when the guest arrived, but shortly into her stay I noticed from the outside of the apartment window, that part of it was damaged. I texted her but she did not respond at all.I do not enter the apartment when guests are out, but on this occasion I did because I am a responsible host and wanted to repair the window blind quickly for my guest’s comfort. It is custom made so it can take time to order. The blind is now in perfect working order. I was in the apartment for less than 5 seconds and left a note asking her to contact me.
It is inaccurate for this guest to claim that it took days for me to respond to her messages. All communication is tracked via VRBO and it clearly shows that I responded within hours and only once within 24 hours.
Communication was challenging with this guest. Having accommodated her request for an early check in, she did not arrive until the afternoon and at no point prior to her arrival did she contact me to let me know that she was delayed. I stayed in all morning and afternoon waiting for her. When I tried to contact her about the blinds, she didn’t respond and was irritated when she did eventually come to speak to me quite late in the evening.
The shower is a UK standard size, as are simple self explanatory controls. Again, at no point did this guest contact me to ask how to use it if she was struggling to operate it. I have had the shower checked and it is in perfect working order.
If I am unavailable when a guest arrives, then my daughter welcomes guests and settles them into the apartment. She has done this many times especially when a guest is late. She explained everything to this guest and pointed out the dining table and chairs. They certainly do fit in the studio otherwise I would not have provided them, but perhaps this guest was unable to work out how to use them. At no point did I have to explain anything to the guest in the apartment, other than ask her to be careful with the window blind until I had the opportunity to repair it.
Whether it is myself or my daughter, we make it very clear that guests are always welcome to ask for help and assistance should they need it, Unfortunately this particular guest did not approach me to ask for assistance even once so it made it impossible for me to help her.
This place was perfect for our 5 days in London. The studio is small, but great for 2 people, and the kitchen and laundry were super convenient. Lubna was so kind and helpful, and the studio is in an awesome neighbourhood with pubs, grocery stores, and right on the tube. We had a great time and would stay again if we're back in London :)
We had a comfortable stay, and the property is amazingly close to good shops, cafes, and 4 mins walk to Southfields Tube Station. Lubna is a very experienced and caring host.
Chose this location due to the closeness proximity to Wimbledon, but ended up also loving how close it is to the underground and the ease of getting around down to London, etc. I stayed five nights and I saw more than ever expected. I would recommend this location to any individual or couple.
Convenient to Southfields tube station, this studio apartment is well appointed. The host was friendly and very helpful. The full oven was convenient for preparing meals there. The kitchen has plenty of equipment for simple meal making. Food stores are close by near the station.

Thank you very much for your kind review. It was a pleasure to have you as our guest. Hope to host you again soon.
Perfect for us againBob & Deb From WI. USAWe stayed 12 days in July 2025. This was our third time staying with Lubna at this property. Being our third time says it all. It perfect for a visit to the London area. The tube station makes it very easy to get anywhere. Our host is always accommodating and asking if everything is alright. She is always asking is there anything she can do to make it better. We use it as a base to explore new and old things every day. Hope to get back.

Thank you Bob and Deb for your kind comments and for being such perfect guests. I look forward to having you stay with us in 2026.
We loved our stay. The apartment is in a great area, only 2 blocks from the tube. Has all of the necessary furnishings. Lubna ŵas very attentive and helpful. Would stay there again.
Well-equipped studio apartment in a quaint, easily accessible area of South London. Enjoyed our stay and our hosts were very accommodating. Would recommend this VRBO for a couple.
We had a lovely time! The accomodations had everything we needed. It was also near the transportation which made it so convenient. The town is a lovely place! Thank you to the host for their kindness to us during our stay!

The owner is very friendly and engaging. Nice property in a quiet neighbourhood with good access to public transportation.
She and their family were incredibly kind, always ready to help with any concerns. The proximity to the subway station and supermarkets made the location very convenient. It truly was a wonderful experience.
I really enjoyed this place! It is a beautiful studio with perfect amount of space for me. I was, also, very happy for the stove, washer/dryer and other amenities especially with the week long trip. The place was very close to the Underground which made travel very nice and the town is safe and very quaint. I definitely would love to return here!

About the host
Hosted by Lubna
I live in the main house with my family, and the studio apartment is totally independent from the main house with its own door. I started this business over fourteen years ago as I love to meet people of different nationalities , and enjoy learning about different cultures and common threads that unite us. I enjoy South Asian Classical and Semi Classical music going to Museums and Art Galleries. Gardening is another of my passions and love to visit the Royal Horticultural Society's Garden at Wisley which luckily is only 20 minutes drive away. My favourite city is Venice.
Why they chose this property
I bought this property about 35 years ago as I always wanted to live on this road. The beautiful houses with big gardens always attracted me. The cherry trees and the winding road was another plus point.
