About this property

Historic Loft in the ❤️ of Bardstown

Stay in the heart of downtown Bardstown, named one of "the most beautiful small towns in America". Just out your door are numerous restaurants, shops, family activities and nightlife. Located on the Bourbon Trail, you will be a short drive from several popular distilleries. Our loft is perfect for a Bourbon Trail explorer, a couples getaway, families and business travelers. You will also find popular local events such as the Kentucky Bourbon Festival and Arts and Crafts Fair just steps away.

The loft features a full kitchen, bathroom, sitting room and two bedrooms. One bedroom overlooks North Third Street with large windows to enjoy the view. This bedroom does have some street noise but we provide a soothing sound machine and ear plugs for your comfort. We have also installed blackout and noise filtering curtains to help with the street light and noise. This is an old building with strict restrictions on replacing the windows so the old windows do rattle some. If you are a light sleeper, I recommend sleeping in the first bedroom. The bathroom is attached to the first bedroom. You must pass through the first bedroom to access the bathroom and the second bedroom. There is also some water damage on the walls from water seeping in through the bricks. This is an ongoing issue with this old building that is repaired on occasion but then returns. This is part of the charm of this historic building. We want everyone to enjoy their stay so we want to disclose these potential issues so you can make an informed decision when booking your stay.

Perfect location

Perfect location in town to walk to restaurants, bars & shops. Only downside was parking concerns when the bar next door was open. The loft was clean, beds comfortable & plenty of towels, dishes, etc. very happy overall. Just don’t try to have Amazon deliver anything there - the package didn’t arrive or was taken. Suggest adding a window cling to the living room window so people walking upstairs can’t see into the living room.

Right in the heart of Bardstown. Fantastic location and great communication from Nicole. She has you set up with coffee in the unit along with great bedding, comfortable couch area to watch late night tv, and immediate proximity to everything. Would stay at her place again!

Perfect location. Walking distance to everything. Clean, had everything needed. It’s an old building so there were some squeaks in the floors and doors but found it charming. Street noise was a little loud but didn’t mind. Definitely planning on this being our place when we visit.

Perfect location for awesome trip

There are a lot of places that have really good locations but the property is only so so. That is not the case with this property. The location is perfect even within bardstown. All of the distilleries and restaurants that we wanted to visit were no longer than an hour outside of bardstown. The rental was clean and the attention to details were the cherry on top. Check in and checkout processes were very easy, especially when we had to get up very early to head to the airport. Next time we do this trip we will definitely be staying here again.

In the Center of It All

This was a perfect mini-vacation for us. Nicole's apartment was beautiful, spotless and exactly what we needed. Located on a main Street of Bardstown, we shopped, ate and drank within walking distance to all the best places - and there are many. So convenient! Extra special touches helped make this visit stress-free and easy: There was a lighted, magnifying makeup mirror and a box of tissues on the vanity in the main front bedroom that made it a cinch to get ready for a special birthday dinner at the Rickhouse (highly recommended). We also found two luggage stands that made it simple to unpack our suitcases. Nicole nailed every detail in her directions and instructions on where to park, how to locate the apartment and exactly how to access entry. Plenty of towels, dishes and paper products. The shower had steady hot water and the water pressure was perfect. Everything was spotless and welcoming. She messaged me a list of special events going on in the area that weekend and we enjoyed some good bourbon and music at the Talbott Tavern (highly recommend). The bed was so comfortable, we slept through most of the noise outside. Being in the middle of it all meant hearing roaring motorcycles and the noisy people streaming out of the bars at closing. (A very nice gesture we became aware of was a box of multiple sets of ear plugs in the main bedroom closet. We smiled knowingly when we saw them but we didn't need them. All the walking, good food and bourbon knocked us out.) We would come back to this beautiful apartment in the future in a heart beat and Bardstown is a wonderful, fun-filled, hospitable town we want to return to, again and again. Thank you, Nicole, for helping me make my husband's birthday very special!
