We had a lovely stay here. Beautiful, peaceful, quiet, and plenty of room for the dogs to run and play! If you're looking for a quiet getaway with access to the Porkies, Gogebic area, and Lake Superior, look no further.
The family really enjoyed our stay. The kids and grandkids spent a lot of time in the lake kayaking and swimming. Very secluded and private, I saw only one boat on the water all week.
Great value, great location, super host. We really appreciated the blue lights on the tree by the lake to guide us home at night. 35 years of snowmobiling as a group this is one of our favorite places to stay
Beautiful place! Relaxing and peaceful. Great fishing and a good location to many other places to visit and explore. Would definitely plan another stay!!
Had the most wondeful time. This location is gorgeous. Plenty of room. House is clean and has all the amenities you will need. Access to the garage was awesome to store our gear. Fishing is great the bottom of the lake by the dock is sandy so its great for swimming. Ashley made the entire process super easy. Lots of beautiful places to visit in the area. You wont be disappointed if you book this property. We hope to be back next year.
This property is a hidden gem on Lake Gogebic. We had 4 adults, 2 kids and 1 dog in our group and this property offered more than enough space for us both inside and out. The cove offered walk-in access to the lake and the dock allowed us to keep our tritoon in the water on calm days. We would definitely stay here again!
We had a wonderful stay at the Anglers Cove property. The house was clean and we had plenty of room to spread out. The host communicated well and was very responsive. Access to the lake was great, we enjoyed listening to and watching the birds, in particular the two eagles in the area. The location was also ideal for excursions to the Porcupine Mountains and various other local hikes. Be sure to read all the house policies. There were a couple of items that were different than most places we have stayed, but nothing that was a problem for us. We really enjoyed our stay would rent it again if we are back in the area.
The place was perfect! I was able to work from home there a few days. We spent time fishing during the day and the boat launch is near the house. We also tied up at their dock on the calm days. A big yard for our dogs to run around and go for a walk. They enjoyed swimming just watch for rocks. The view is spectacular especially watching the geese and duck families visit several times a day. Just perfect! When we had a question Ashley always answered. Will definitely plan to stay here again for our next trip to the area.
We had a great stay at the Ottawa Lodge and easy access to Lake Gogebic to hop on the snowmobile trail. Some points to assist other renters, bring some ice and they have a regular coffee maker. Plenty of bedroom space. The convenience store in Bergland was a short trip and available for any last minute needs. There is also a snowmobile dealer nearby for any last minute accssories. Use of the garage during the major snowstorm during our stay was fantastic. We had great hosts.

Thank you John!!! And thank you so much for all the tips 😁
I knew we had picked the right house when we pulled into the property and my 8yr old screamed "This is the BEST rental cottage EVER!!" Our kids had a fantastic time - the kayaks were a huge hit! They also got a kick out of the 4 resident Bald Eagles in the area. The property and house are well maintained, and having a gas grill came in handy. The location is perfect for quick trips to the numerous waterfalls in the area (my fav was Cascade Falls because the trails were empty) We all agreed that we will seriously consider staying again next summer at Angler's Cove! PS - Grocery Shopping Tip: The brand new Dollar General in Bergland has a huge selection of groceries.

We love to hear all the cool animal sightings that are right from the house - so exciting! We appreciate your review and hope to see you again some day!
Pros-This property has plenty of space for spreading out yet gathering for meal times etc. the outdoor space is the absolute best amenity on the property. It was a utopia for our furry friends and the dock was used for floating, tanning, morning coffee and spending the hot summer days making memories. The house itself is a great gathering space and home base for our extended family. Extra fridge in the garage was so useful along with the kayaks and blackstone grill. Also the newly added deck on front and back were so nice to have! The management made herself available when we needed her.
The cons of the property- needs some updating including screens on windows and doors so we are able to open and get fresh air. The ones that did have screens were broken or holey. We had to provide our own towels and take our garbage throughout the week and upon checkout. Further it has a small ant problem which the manager ensures is being taken care of but still a bit annoying.
Overall it was a memorable and fantastic week and the amount of privacy and acreage on the lake was appreciated by our 3 generations!
Upon arrival, we had to chase mice away from our belongings on every level of the house. There was a homemade mousetrap on the lower level constructed out of a bucket and tin can, with complimentary dead mouse in it. But otherwise, the rodents ran rampant over furniture and beds, day and night. We contacted the owners on our second day (of 4) who were at first very apologetic and sounded like they were urgently trying to find solutions. But once we contacted VRBO to ask for assistance and partial refund, owners stopped responding! Pity, since this is a great location! We've stayed at several properties in the UP for the past 25 years and never had such issues anywhere else.
There were so many things to love about this rental - the peace and quiet, the bunkbeds for kids, the fun shoreline to play along, frogs to catch, and being able to relax and get away from the everyday. The owners were extremely responsive and accommodating and everything was as advertised. Fire pit fun, s'mores, tubing on the lake - we're definitely looking forward to returning to this property in the future.
