On the heights of the bay of Mont-St-Michel, is the village of St-Michel de Montjoie, historically known as a place of passage for pilgrims. A few steps from the cottage, the orientation table located at the church allows you to enjoy an exceptional panorama of the entire Mortainais valley and in good weather, to glimpse the contours of the Merveille. The town remains the last extraction center of a granite known as "Bleu de Vire". You can discover this history thanks to a walk and a family trail in the granite museum park in the heart of the town classified as a "Heritage Village". Spacious and bright, this granite residence now has a very pleasant contemporary interior that highlights the still exposed stones. Hiking enthusiasts, the surrounding hills are a great playground for walks or bike rides, including the GR22 (long-distance hiking trail linking Notre Dame de Paris to Mont-St-Michel).
