About this property

Eagle's Nest - Cozy Rustic Cabin for Large Groups

Full wood log cabin that highlights to wilderness feel of Big Bear. The space is decorated to complete the rustic feel, and a large fireplace to keep the entire party cozy during cold snowy winters. Entertain the whole party nostalgically with VCR and DVDs, and a huge collection of board games!

The space
This cabin was operated as a bed and breakfast for 20 years before coming under my ownership. Before that, It was an office for a company that built cabins, and doubled as the model for what the company could do.

Each room in the cabin are named after the famed Western films Butch and Sundance, Cat Ballou, Halleluha Trail, Rio Bravo, and the Mark of Zorro. Each room has a stained glass window on the bathroom door that is inspired by the films.

From the curb the property may not seem all that appealing, but once you enter the driveway lined by pine trees, you'll find a little gem hidden behind those pine trees. Plenty of room for parking, and spacious living space with a cozy bedroom.

Guest access
You'll have access to the full cabin (unless you're looking at the private room listings which are also in my profile's listings). Access to kitchen, but not the pantry.

We had a lot issues. Leaky roof over bed. Violation of privacy. Upon arrival encountered with other persons asking if we were sharing? I told no I rented the whole house. Also other people kept trying to get in in the evening. The next Day woke up to find a couple in living room. The owner provided key code. This is not a safe environment. I was traveling with my one month old daughter’s baby. Also with Autistic grandchild. The owner has to bring house to code. Also he needs to change code between guest check in this is for safety. I think you need to evaluate host this is not a safe place. I’m scared child abduction and people killing people in homes.

Lovely rustic getaway!
Property was wonderful, we had a fantastic time! Kitchen was missing some essentials, large serving platters, bowls for salad, small bowls for cereal. Other than that, everything was great, and owner was VERY responsive to resolve all issues! Would recommend, and will likely be back!
