Adorable little lake cabin in the middle of Cape Cod. It felt like a lakes region getaway but there are also amazing ocean views and beaches minutes away. The location was awesome with town less than a mile walking distance away as well as food options right across the street. Small but comfortable and everything we needed for a young family of 4.

Show up unpack and relax...
Clean private convienient... when you sit on the deck or relax around the firepit you feel a million miles away, yet you are walking distance to just about everything, not to mention a short drive to everything the Cape has to offer.

Wonderful small cottage on the water.
Very clean, adorable furnished in the nautical style. Bed was very comfortable with nice linens. Outside nicely furnished with table, chairs, gas grill and pit. Bathroom quit small, but workable. Walking distance to restaurants and grocery store. Overall a neat old fashioned cottage. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Beautiful, tranquil,peaceful and relaxing!!
We absolutely loved the location in Orleans! It was so close to everything that you could walk to get anything you need! It was so peaceful watching the cove and all of the wildlife, sail boats and the fisherman harvesting oysters right in our front yard! Thank you , Tony! I hope to rent again next year and possibly get my sister to rent the cottage next door! We absolutely loved our trip to your cottage in Orleans!❤️

We stayed here with our 3 boys. It was the perfect place! Cozy, clean cottage with just the right amount of space needed because mostly we were outside! We loved watching the seals, swans, osprey, and great blue herons from the deck. The kitchen is great and we enjoyed the grill as well. The beds are very comfy! Tony is a very nice guy and quickly answered all of our questions. We’d love to come back next year!
The cottage was exactly as pictured and described. The sunrise was spectacular off the water from the backyard. Everything we needed for our stay was available to us. There are sidewalks on 6A, so you can walk/run. Restaurants, grocery store, plaza etc are within driving/walking distance.
Looking forward to returning soon.

Peaceful,Relaxing,comfortable.
My families stay was in Sept.2010 and we've already made reservations for Sept.2011. Tony Deban was at the cottage to welcome us. He made us feel right at home answered any questions we had about the area and gave us great ideas for entertainment in the area. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage and couldn't have been more comfortable. Kayaking, fishing, clamming are steps away. Close to great restaurants and shopping but secluded enough to take in the beauty of the area. We all just had the best time and can't wait to return. Thank you Tony for making us feel so welcomed.
The location is fantastic, and the view of the cove wonderful, and a great porch area. It's a quaint, pretty property. However, it's a very tight space for four adults, and the beds are not good for people over 6 feet. We tried contacting the manager one evening to get instructions on lighting the fire, and didn't get a response, which can be very frustrating. The kitchen pots/pans are pretty minimal. Not sorry, enjoyed it, but a few reservations future guests may need to know about.

Total disaster. They are dishonest. I had a feeling it was gonna be a problem when he requested 3 sets of keys the day prior to arrival. I should have cancelled but felt it was too late to ruin somebody's travel plans. The housekeeper wanted to quit when she saw 5 cars and 11 chairs around the fire pit. I had to beg her to stay and I drove down 2 hours at 6am Saturday (checkout day) morning so I could get over the bridge before the traffic to help her clean up, which took us over 4 hours. Way too many people! We're not that type of party place. These "guests" should have spent the money to rent a big place with a big driveway and a big yard. But of course that's expensive and they were too cheap to do that. Also, they were dirty, food on all the floors and carpets, including the bedrooms. And of course they didn't even leave the poor woman a tip. We pride ourselves on being a clean comfortable place for reasonable people. I blame myself because I didn't vet them prior. VRBO doesn't like if if we cancel, but it would have been the right move in this case.
We had a great time. The cottage was perfect and the water view is fantastic! Thank you Tony.

The cottage is just right for a family of four or five. The view was fantastic! Quiet too!!😄
Even though the Cottages are just off of Route 6A there is very little automobile traffic noise when you are in the house or on the deck. It is easy access by foot or bike to many great locations in Orleans. The walk over to the windmill or to rent a kayak is all of about 2 minutes. The owner was very accessible and quite nice to deal with. I would recommend renting both cottages which are side by side for a small group of family or friends. Finally, the breezes off the water from the Nauset Beach inlet definitely make for a cool place to get away from work worries for a while.

very nice trip
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The cottage was a little smaller than I had thought and if it were not for the beautiful weather and our being able to eat breakfast outside each morning, breakfast would have presented a problem. The kitchen is too small to eat in. But the mornings were beautiful and we had breakfast watching the small sail boats go by.
A couple of nights were chilly and we should have asked for directions on how to turn on the heat, our fault that we didn't.
The property is well maintained and spotlessly clean. We found everything there that we needed. The location is good for access to the upper Cape and of course easy access to the beaches. I would recommend this property

Thanks JoAnn for the response, and also for the guest book and other gifts you left me! And Margie thanks you for your remarks about the cleanliness. She works hard to keep it that way.
(Regarding the kitchen size, I just want readers to understand that you had four adults in your party, so they won't think it's too tiny). And sorry about the heat,... there's a red switch above the fridge but sometimes obscured by the lobster pot. My bad. Hope you come back and let me make that up to you. Thanks again. Tony.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT
Pictures are often worth a thousand words and the ones of these two cottages are great. But you must visit in order to appreciate how wonderful they are. Our family has stayed in both cottages, always in the off season. The views of Town Cove and the sunrises, birds, sailboats create a tranquil oasis. Once, we even saw a seal. And, in spite of the fact that busy Cranberry Highway was right at the end of the driveway, we never noticed traffic sounds. The location was perfect, seconds from the grocery, a package store and a couple of classic Cape Cod restaurants and within a brisk walk from the center of Orleans. Rock Harbor sunsets are a 5 minute drive away. Be sure to go to the Salt Pond Visitor's Center (3rd light in Eastham, after you hit the rotary). Great little museum, Cape history and geology movies, and out the back, one of the most gorgeous views on the Cape. Ask the ranger about the old Coast Guard Station, access to Coast Guard beach (a favorite) and the short drive to Nauset Light.
Both cottages are perfectly furnished and equipped for a true Cape Cod getaway. Lobster pots (or just buy lobsters steamed at Stop and Shop), blue and white dishware, wood wainscoting and wide board flooring, comfy furnishings, wonderful natural light from the many windows. The bathrooms are small, but immaculate. (The shower stalls [no tubs] may be too small for really large bathers.)
The owner, Tony, couldn't be more personable, helpful and accommodating. He truly made us feel welcome and at home. We highly recommend these perfect cottages

Wonderfully relaxing vacation site
The cottage was immaculate, with an incredibly beautiful location on the bay. The interior was very comfortable, well maintained and nicely furnished. The exterior provided lovely views of the area, with the relaxing vista of the water viewed from the porch as well as the nearby swings. The site was also very convenient to nearby stores and restaurants within easy walking distance. The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful. We will certainly recommend the site and hope to return ourselves someday.

Clean and Comfortable Cottage w/great Location
I went on vacation with my wife and 6 month old last week .. . we were extremely happy with the place.
Inside Cottage - as advertised - clean, simple and efficient. Weather was awesome so we never used the AC thats located in the living room . .whether it cools the whole cottage is unknown. Windows all open to get a great breeze. Bring an extension cord if you want to use a hair dryer in the bathroom .. . . no outlets. Also, if you like to cook, bring a sharp knife and an extra cutting board. Keep it simple, small efficiency kitchen. Bed was comfortable. Bedrooms are small, but who cares - you are on vacation. Main bedroom was big enough to put up a crib. Back Bedroom with 2 beds was used as baby staging for clothes and changing area etc. Would have been cramped with another person. .. but babies require lots of extra gear so go figure.
Outside Cottage - The wood deck was awesome, very large with table/umbrella for 6, Webber Kettle Charcoal Grill, and several additional chase lounges. Furniture too large and comfy for mobile beach use . . bring your own beach chairs. Never used the outside showers .. can't comment. View of the Bay is great. The cottage in front of you blocks some of your view, but its not intrusive. Lots of trees to the west so in the the afternoon the deck is shady. Deck is in good sound condition .. .you can walk safely with bare feet. . . no nails sticking up, no warped boards, or splinter hazards.
Location: You can't hear the traffic on 6A . . .busy street . . .even though you are steps away. Wedding took place at the Windmill adjacent to the property . . .pretty cool. Directly across the street is the best fish market I have ever been too!!! They sell fish, corn, ice and beer. They will steam your lobsters so don't bother cooking them at the cottage. Next to that is a fantastic family restaurant . .the Lobster Claw - Phantom Gourmet Great 8 approved. Also across the street is also a Packie - beer, wine and liquor - and a Fish and Chips Take out joint. It was very good. About a 7 minute walk away is a Stop and Shop. . . you always forget something. The coffee shop down the road - Jo-mama's - is a home run too. Several hardware shops are located within a miles drive. Check out the sunset a Rock Harbor Beach . . .sensational!!!
I will go back again and stay here.
About the host

Hi. I was born and still live in Boston, and have been coming to the cape my whole life - finally my family was able to buy our dream property and welcome guests to the place we love.
Why they chose this property
It took me over 2 years of driving every street on Cape Cod to find a perfect place that was near the center of town - but also on the ocean,... that's extremely rare! The Orleans town cove offers that unique combination !
What makes this property unique
We are not happy unless you are happy. We want you to have fun and come back again.
