About this property

Silver Strand Beach great surf, cool beach house

Located at Silver Strand Beach. We are on the South side of Channel Island Harbor. This beach is best known for its surf and the place where all the actors bought little bungalow type homes in the 1960. Their little slice of heaven, is now ours. Thanks Malibu you can have them.

There is a farmers market at the harbor every weekend. There is always something going on at the harbor, tall ships, music, great restaurants, there is something for everyone.


Silver Strand Beach: It is almost a private beach so don't worry about finding a nice spot on the beach. There aren't very many beaches that can brag that they are pet friendly, kid friendly and are also a great surf spot.

Sit back & relax: Take the chairs to the beach, sit back and watch the whales, surfers, windsurfers, kite-surfers or the ultralights overhead. This is truly a beach that an uncrowded get away.

Yes you can walk your dog on the beach, but you are suppose to use a leash and there are time restrictions.

We had an amazing week at silverstrand beach.We have been there many times and this is probably 1 of the best houses that we have ever stayed at. Perfect location to the beach, clean and it had everything that we needed.Definitely Recommend this rental.

What a wonderful getaway!

The place has been remodeled and is beautiful, The spa is great it's just such nice place to feel the beach scene. The magnificent bathroom was amazing. After my wife took a shower she said "That was the best shower ever, my hair is so clean" The owner was great, can't say enough what a treasure it is.

Great Little Beach House

We had a great stay! The place was very clean, well-maintained, and convenient - close to Silver Strand Beach and a short walk to restaurants & Kiddie Beach. We would definitely stay here again, although maybe not until our kids are a little older and less inclined to touch all the knick knacks and push all the buttons!

July Escape

Great location - close to everything we wanted to do, comfy house and patios, fun toys! Channel Islands Harbor Wildlife excursion was great. Had everything we needed and more. Awesome weather.

Chase, the owner, is very nice & accommodating making our stay as handicapped people a breeze!

We enjoyed the hot tub & being so close to the beach. The house was very homie & we were very comfortable there. Chase was easy to contact with any questions or concerns & really personable & easy to talk with. Highly recommend!

Great Home

This was a great beach home and the owner was very accommodating. Chase was extremely responsive and was in contact with us from the time we booked our stay until after we completed our reservation. I would recommend this beach house to anyone wanting a positive rental experience and a great location walking distance to the beach!

Private Beach vibes

My wife, son and I had the pleasure of staying at Chase’s place over the weekend. It’s a quaint home just a short walk from a beach with so few people you’d swear it were private... and it was splendid! We felt right at home, went to the beach during the day, helped ourselves to the hot tub in the evening and enjoyed movies in peace and quiet. I look forward to my annual return until Chase and co retire.

Wonderful Vacation Home!

We had the most amazing stay at Chase's house. It had everything we could have needed and was very comfortable. The location was perfect - so close to the beach! The kids loved being so close to the water and going for quick swims even though the temperature didn't get above 58 the week we were there! We spent a lot of time in the hot tub, too. The house was clean and roomy. Chase was a wonderful host. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation rental experience and will definitely return next time we are in California! Thanks, Chase, for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Great place to stay at Silver Strand

Comfortable spacious house for 4 people. Really nice kitchen. Clean and quiet. The hot tub was hugely welcome after I swam from Silver Strand to Santa Cruz Island and back...29.5 hours in the ocean.... The on-demand water heater was bit finicky, and required some work during our stay. However, the owner attended to it quickly. Never could get hot water for any length of time in the shower.

Lovely Beach House

Arriving to the house after a 15 hour drive with three kids we were tired after our trip, within a hour arriving I felt the stress melting away. The house is nicely furnished with a beautiful well stocked kitchen with everything you need. Dinning area double doors open up to the front patio and lets in the ocean breeze. The shower and hot tub are out of this world and the beds are wonderfully comfortable. A half block walk to the uncrowded Silver Strand beach and the kids played there for hours. We took several bike rides around the Chanel Harbor with the cool bikes Chase provided! The house was very comfortable, close to the beach and everything we had hoped for. We enjoyed it and made great memories, Thank you Chase!

Quiet Dog Friendly Beach House With Overwhelming Amenities

My husband and I spent our honeymoon Monday June 4th-Sunday June 10th, 2018 in this "Quiet Dog Friendly Beach House With Overwhelming Amenities". We had an amazing six days there and truly felt like it was our "home away from home". Chase, the owner, was so easy to work with. He was available by text within minutes the two or three times I had a question that week. He refunded our entire deposit within three days. He treated us like friends borrowing his house, not "renters". The house is so close to the beach that my husband walked to the ocean several times a day for a quick dip. The neighborhood is full of delightfully friendly people who greet you and welcome you to the neighborhood. The entire community is very dog friendly, which was great as we brought our three Basset Hounds; Gladys, Abigail, and Walter with us. There is even a sweet lady that walks around the neighborhood giving out dog treats to the dogs that are "vacationing with her". We were able to walk our dogs around the neighborhood, on the beach, and up to the jetti several times a day. We tried several restaurants in the area and our favorites were H&C Seafood Incorporated, Toppers Pizza ( which will deliver to the house), and Quincy Street Ltd. My husband also highly recommends buying 805 beer, which is supposedly brewed locally; he drank a lot of it. The house itself has everything you need and more. The hot tub is super clean and very comfortable. The backyard is very quiet and relaxing, while being private. The shower water pressure is so amazing that you will never feel cleaner than when you get out of that shower. The beds are comfortable and the bedrooms have amazing beach air flow. My husband loved the heated toilet seat and insists we get one for both of our bathrooms at home. The kitchen had everything you could want or need, including a blender. We made smoothies with fresh fruit from the Flower Market that is about two miles down Victoria. The neighbors Manny and Carmen were a delight; so friendly and knowledgeable. One of our dogs barked a few times really loud and I apologized to Manny and he said, "Don't apologize, he is just being a dog!" Even though this was our honeymoon, my husband and I have decided that this was such an amazing trip that we may just do it every year at the beginning of June. Thank you for having us Chase! We appreciate you and everything you did to make our honeymoon fun, relaxing, and calm!

Beach house with amazing location and ocean access.

We arrived early, so we went to the Hollywood Cafe close by to get lunch. It was really good for the whole family. We checked in at 3 and it was a gorgeous sunny day The house was super clean With a hot tub and perfect for our visit. The linens on the beds were comfortable and the couch worked well as an additional bed. A few things to note: the beds in the bedrooms are really high off the heaping so an elderly person would not be able to climb in and out comfortably so our 85 y/o mom had to sleep on the couch but she said it was very comfortable. The barbecue in the did not have any tank or propane so we didn’t use it. We went to the farmers market on Sunday morning and it was fantastic. The fresh produce is terrific. The Honey Cup wa coffee is delicious as are their pastries. You cannot beat the location and peacefulness of this are! Great Place Near Beach

We were very lucky to have been able to rent this property for about 6 weeks as our house was damaged in the Mountain Fire in Camarillo. Me, my wife and dog were lucky to find this available. Chase the owner has been very accommodating to our needs. The house is small but has everything a couple of people would need for a short stay. The area is also very nice. You can hear the seals at night ! A great restaurant is down the block called The Strand Grill and Bar. Worth staying here just to be near that! Anyway good place to rent especially if you want to surf.
