LAKE LEVELS VARY:
PLEASE NOTE : This is a TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) dam controlled lake. Levels fall slowly beginning in September and fully rise again in April. The winter lake levels are low during off season.
The summer levels stay consistently at their highest, and are easily deep enough for fishing, swimming, and docking a boat with water receding starting around September.
The winter lake level will create a wide, firm, sandy shoreline that is interesting to explore. Many an arrowhead and crystals have been found here.
We recommend that you check TVA website for current levels. We cannot predict the rain fall levels or water level.
