The kitchen is properly “beachy” with open shelves & bamboo countertops. The master bedroom with a king bed & wicker chests is a sanctuary ala Tommy Bahama style. The second bedroom has twin beds and is bright & Floridian. SORRY: NO Smoking & NO Pets

We enjoyed our stay at Moonmist. Close to the Crescent beach access and shops or a short trolley ride to Siesta Beach. The pool was great. The host was very responsive and helpful during our stay.
This is the cleanest VRBO I've experienced. We would definitely stay here for a long term snow-bird retreat. This is more a home (a nice home at that!) than it is a beach place. There is nothing "plastic" about the furnishings or decorations and there is no tacky, cheap stuff to make it someone's idea of a beach place. On the quirky side, you can be entertained for a couple days just figuring out the light switches.
When we walked into the Villa, it was larger than expected! I loved all the rooms and the well-thought-out placement of furniture and decor. I also loved the variety of unique artworks and antique items on display. I actually felt right at home! We plan to book our next stay very soon at Moonmist and are looking forward to it!
we enjoyed our time the hot tub never worked even thou it was worked on several time, quiet and lots of jungle. Furniture could use some updating. Lots of space.
Manager needs to clean better. Smell of mold in the living room. Bugs in the bath room. Twin beds need new mattresses. The location was beautiful

I was just there and there was no smell of mold at all. I have a great cleaner and get many compliments on how clean everything is. I did see one ant in the bathroom -- but this is Florida and occasionally there is an ant in the house. Twin beds have memory foam mattresses so they aren't super firm, but are newish and in good shape,
I actually gave her a good rating even though she left the house quite dirty.
Very comfortable, peaceful and lovely landscaping. The pool area was beautiful also. Centrally located to both Siesta and Turtle Beach! My granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the property!
Property was excellent except for the beds for children, too small and uncomfortable. Next time we would stay closer to the beach and restaurants.

The 2nd bedroom beds are standard size twin beds with memory foam mattresses. I think this is the first time Stephen has stayed at a VRBO and doesn't understand that a property that he says is "excellent" certainly deserves more than 2 stars.
this was the perfect location; close to family
The pool was fabulous
Only complaint is beds in guest room were not too comfortable for two adults; children probably ok.
We really enjoyed our vacation at siesta key. The rental is decent for the price and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Walking distance to the beach and you can take a free trolley to either end of the key.
Stayed for a week to visit friends and family. Also this was a good location for all the activities we did throughout the week. Such as pairasail kayaking EBike ride fishing and even a helicopter ride.
Moonmist is charming. The interior is a bit dated and needs a bit of maintenance attention. Nothing major - location is great - nice pier to sit at and neighbors are nice. Close to the Trolley so easy access to beaches.
Been going to Siesta since the 1970’s. Never been back around this property location but it’s marvelous! Privacy, peace and quiet, and spacious. The property was even better than the pictures and description. We loved the hot tub, the open floor plan, the decor, and all of the windows. Backyard is a shady oasis. Highly recommended.
Contacting property manager was difficult. But, owner (who worked through a hot water problem) was extremely helpful and quick to communicate. A nice place.
Great location, perfect as a base to explore the area from Bradenton down to port Charlotte. We all love the pier looking onto the intra coastal waterway, saw dolphins and manatees in the wild..Fabulous.As golfers there are plenty of courses within an hours drive.Lots of restaurants of all types and prices are easily accessible with or without a car.Pity that there isn’t a beach access a little closer but the free trolley bus is great .Villa has everything you could want and any issues were dealt with by the owner.

Sorry the construction disturbed you! I had no idea that it was happening. But I would assume that it was only the one day for the noise.
We have stayed in over 50 vacation rentals, and this was definitely one of the cleanest by far. The rooms are spacious, interesting and unique decorations, different areas in the house so people can separate, nice hot tub to hang out in, beautiful tree in the backyard, and all the beach toys you will need. It is definitely evident the owner takes pride in creating a villa that is enticing to stay in. Three minute walk to the bay and a 10 to 12 minute walk to Crescent Beach. We went snorkeling at point of rocks and were able to rent a mask and fins for only $15 each for the full day. There are places to rent bikes and kayaks as well. The sand, all I can say, is, it felt like cornstarch on my feet. Many restaurants within driving distance. We will most definitely be back to the same place again!

I grew up on the beach in NC and now live on the beach in Sarasota -- always a beach girl. There's something about being near the sea that is good for the soul.
