Creekside Cottage just steps from Fightingtown Creek & 10 minutes from downtown.

As you enter into the screened patio, peace and tranquility will be your only thoughts. This is everyone’s favorite room! The babel of the creek will lure you to rest on the comfortable sectional and take all your meals at the traditional farm table. You may even nap there in the afternoon or sleep there under the stars with the twinkling of the fireflies and the chirping of the crickets. Party lights that dim have been installed to create the perfect ambiance and lighting needs.

The remaining part of the patio has additional seating and a gas grill. Guests with children and fur children will love the flat and .3 fenced in acre for safety, play, and convenience. In the cooler evenings, enjoy the firepit with seating for four with tiki and solar lighting for pests and safety.

Fightingtown Creek, itself, is nothing short of fabulous! Yes, it does have trout and we have an excellent spot. You can wade, play, sit in a chair or float with you toes in the always chilly, but refreshing, water.

Upon entering the cottage, the floor plan is open and one-story which is great for seniors and toddlers. The dining room, just off the kitchen, has a unique, live edge handmade wooden table and ceiling fan.

The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and everything you will need to prepare and serve meals. However, we have no dishwasher. Because of this, we will provide paper products and plastic utensils. Thank you for understanding.

The living area has a futon and sofa overlooked a charming, stone fireplace with gas logs. Above, is a 50-inch flat screen TV with cable. It’s the perfect place for watching football games or cozying in on a cold night. Washer and dryer are located in the hallway closet.

The three-piece guest bath (shower/tub) is conveniently located to the main areas and guest room. It has plenty of storage under the vanity. The guest bedroom has a large wooden handmade queen bed, ceiling fan, and ample closet storage and shelving.

The spacious master suite has a king bed, ceiling fan, dressing table and mirror, and a dresser for storage. The en-suite has another three-piece bath (shower only) with storage under the vanity.

If you are looking for a charming creek front property that is only 10 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge and all its amenities, then Firefly Cottage is for you!

Dogs paradise

We loved this cottage! Perfectly is as described and offers everything one would need for a relaxing getaway. The fenced in dog area is a dream for dofs and owners alike. Definitely coming again.

Lovely cabin, great location !

We really enjoyed our stay here, lovely cabin in a great location and very pet friendly, the fenced in area is a big plus also. The cabin itself was really nice and well equipped with everything you will need for your stay. The firepit and the creek were also a big plus and a great place for a spot of fishing.The only thing that could have made this perfect would have been a white christmas but you cant have everything !I have to add that we had great communication from the owners also.

Best Stay in Blue Ridge

My husband, myself, my 7 year old son and our cat Icecream chose this cabin because of it's proximity to the creek and it wasn't overly large. It was very clean, very cozy, and had everything we could possibly need, including floats for the river, firewood for the pit, and even a few fishing rods. The screened in porch facing the creek was probably where we spent most of our time. It was definitely the best stay we've had so far and will absolutely return again!

Beautiful cabin with gurgling trout stream and fire pit steps from house. Large fenced area kept pups super happy, and us, too. Beautiful screened porch, comfy beds, cozy living room with gas log fireplace, kitchen with everything needed. It was perfect!

Third Visit!

This was our third stay at this property. We love it! It’s so quiet and peaceful here. Great location for sitting/napping on the porch and listening to the creek. Perfect spot for trout fishing and s’mores in the fire pit. Just what we needed to getaway, relax, and leave behind the everyday hustle. Our dogs love coming here and running around in the fenced yard too!

We loved Firefly Cottage!

Firefly Cottage was a wonderful stay! Melanie was incredibly courteous, responsive, and friendly throughout the whole process. The cottage itself is gorgeous, and will have you feeling like you stepped into an HGTV magazine, holding a magnolia and all. The farmhouse decor is beautiful and elegant, perfect for the Blue Ridge mountain setting. The creek is peaceful and was the perfect place to just sit and enjoy nature. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We can’t wait to return!

Quiet Cabin with Large Fenced yard on a beautiful creek

This property was very clean and well taken care of. Property was ideal for a dog with a large fenced in yard. Beautiful large creek runs through the back yard. Nice firewood by the creek with plenty of firewood provided. Owners communicated very will to make sure things were just right. Highly recommended!

Wonderful dog-friendly property

The cottage could not have been nicer: clean, well-equipped from kitchen to extra pillows and towels. Gigantic fenced yard for dogs, and the creek is right outside the porch door. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to it in the evening. Only negative is that when outside you do get noise (and see the cars and trucks this time of year) from the main road you turn off of to get to the cottage. Otherwise I'd give the property a 5-star-plus.

Mountain Trip

We had a great time doing nothing, just sitting and enjoying the sound of the creek, fishing some, just a relaxed time. If you have trouble with steps there are several steps in and out, if not it's great, I am just of of my foot for now. The hole trip was great this is a great place to just kick back. The host was very helpful at check in, read the welcome book first thing if I had do that would not have bothered the host with some questions. Lynn & Pam

Dream Cottage

I discovered this cabin 4 months earlier when walking my dogs during our stay at another (unaffiliated) one a few doors down, and fell in love with just the outside. After finding the cottage online and communicating with Melanie, we were already beyond thrilled. She was so sweet and accommodating, and everything about the cabin exceeded our expectations. The cabin itself is very cozy and has everything you would need for your stay. There are so many personal touches, and even simple things like labled power switches, were very appreciated. We enjoyed the evenings in the screened-in porch, just listening to the river. Also, Melanie brings pet-friendly to a whole new level. Besides the fully fenced in 3rd acre, covers are provided should your dogs go on the couch or bed. She also had bowls,leashes, and treats. This was by far the best time my boys had at a cabin! I'm so happy we discoved this gem, and the only thing "bad" was having to leave. Thank you, Melanie, for allowing our stay with our dogs, and we now have a favorite place to stay in the GA mountains.

Rest, relaxation, outstanding accomodations

Our stay wasn't long enough. Our family was in desperate need of a reset and time away from our busy lives. This property delivered. I spent the majority of my day sitting in the screened in porch listening to the beautiful stream and the birds chirping. The area is quiet and secluded and the dog area allowed our two small dogs to run freely and live their best life. The location makes traveling to Blue Ridge, Morganton, Aska, Ocoee and Ellijay easy. The beds were soft and comfortable with enough bedding to accommodate our hot and cold sleepers. The hosts were outstanding, responsive and made our stay incredibly easy. I enjoyed the overhang of the shed as the area provided ample space for my minimal exercise equipment so that I could work out. We enjoyed roasting marsh mellows and listening to the stream in the fire pit area. Everything about this place was geared towards relaxation. We plan on coming back year after year to recharge. We can't imagine a better experience.
