Creekside Cottage just steps from Fightingtown Creek & 10 minutes from downtown.

As you enter into the screened patio, peace and tranquility will be your only thoughts. This is everyone’s favorite room! The babel of the creek will lure you to rest on the comfortable sectional and take all your meals at the traditional farm table. You may even nap there in the afternoon or sleep there under the stars with the twinkling of the fireflies and the chirping of the crickets. Party lights that dim have been installed to create the perfect ambiance and lighting needs.

The remaining part of the patio has additional seating and a gas grill. Guests with children and fur children will love the flat and .3 fenced in acre for safety, play, and convenience. In the cooler evenings, enjoy the firepit with seating for four with tiki and solar lighting for pests and safety.

Fightingtown Creek, itself, is nothing short of fabulous! Yes, it does have trout and we have an excellent spot. You can wade, play, sit in a chair or float with you toes in the always chilly, but refreshing, water.

Upon entering the cottage, the floor plan is open and one-story which is great for seniors and toddlers. The dining room, just off the kitchen, has a unique, live edge handmade wooden table and ceiling fan.

The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and everything you will need to prepare and serve meals. However, we have no dishwasher. Because of this, we will provide paper products and plastic utensils. Thank you for understanding.

The living area has a futon and sofa overlooked a charming, stone fireplace with gas logs. Above, is a 50-inch flat screen TV with cable. It’s the perfect place for watching football games or cozying in on a cold night. Washer and dryer are located in the hallway closet.

The three-piece guest bath (shower/tub) is conveniently located to the main areas and guest room. It has plenty of storage under the vanity. The guest bedroom has a large wooden handmade queen bed, ceiling fan, and ample closet storage and shelving.

The spacious master suite has a king bed, ceiling fan, dressing table and mirror, and a dresser for storage. The en-suite has another three-piece bath (shower only) with storage under the vanity.

If you are looking for a charming creek front property that is only 10 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge and all its amenities, then Firefly Cottage is for you!

The cottage is right on the creek and you can enjoy sitting on the screened in porch listening to the creek! The surroundings are so peaceful and quite! This cottage has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The host is very responsive to anything you may need. We look forward to our next visit!

Stayed here over Christmas. Beautiful house and property. House was immaculate and decorated for Christmas. The large fenced area was very well lit and perfect for our dogs.Creek just steps away from with easy access for fishing. Screened in porch was a perfect place to relax and listen to the water between casts. Nice fire pit also right next to the creek.Host’s communication was fantastic. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to unwind with room to breathe and easy access to anything in the area!

Perfect Location

This is our 3rd stay at Firefly Cottage. The location is perfect. Quiet, on a creek and not high in the mountains. It is a quick drive to Blue Ridge and Ellijay. The huge fenced backyard is great for our dogs. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch relaxing and listening to the creek. This weekend was exactly what we needed. We will be back again.

Creekside Haven

We went for several days to relax and unwind. The sounds of the creek and the back porch were perfect. We sat around the fire pit one night and our dog loved the wide open spaces and the huge fenced area. The cottage is so cozy and is has all you need for a fun time in the mountains.

Best Stay in Blueridge

We have stayed at Fire Fly Cottage on a previous trip and enjoyed it so much we decided to stay again 8 months later. It's so relaxing and very convenient to downtown without being downtown. The owner is quick to respond and very friend. The cleanliness is excellent, view is excellent. We probably be return visitors at least once a year!

This was the perfect weekend getaway rental for us. It was very easy to find and the roads getting there were not treacherous. We could hear the creek as soon as we got out of our car. It was very relaxing - especially by the fire pit at night. (Firewood was provided on site - big plus!!) We loved the place so much, the first day there, I booked it again for this fall. The house was very clean and comfortable. The screened in porch was amazing. So many details with solar candle lights, string lights, etc. that created a very cozy ambient feel. This place is a top favorite of ours and we look forward to returning many times!
