NEWLY RENOVATED!! A 3 bedroom 2 bath home on the north shore of Pickerel Lake. This southern exposure provides you with plenty of sunshine and southern breezes in the summer.
This 3 bedroom 2 bath home has 300' of prime sand bottom lake frontage for your summer lake fun. The home itself is setback only 40' from the water with a large deck between the house and the water.
The house has a master bedroom with a king size bed and its own master bathroom. The two other bedrooms have queen size beds for your comfort. There is also a bunk room that has a double mattress on the bottom and a single on top. The living room is spacious with what is termed a million dollar view of the lake. The kitchen is roomy and has all the amenities and cooking needs available to you. The kitchen is open to the living room area and lake views as well.
This property is 2.75 acres with plenty of privacy from neighbors. The house sits in the middle of 300' of frontage so its 150' of wooded area between this house and the neighbors on both sides.
A firepit and firewood for campfires is available to you for your evening fires enjoyment. Weekly rentals are SUNDAY to SUNDAY with some exceptions.

Family vacation up north

The property was great for our family needs. The kids were able to catch 6 different species of fish from the dock to keep them busy. The view of the lake from the living room and the decks were awesome.

Relaxing Getaway!

The view from the house was amazing. The house was clean and beautiful. Communication with the owner was really great and I felt I could text him at any time with a problem or question. Would definitely recommend!

Cozy lake retreat

Very nice place to stay, cozy, clean and lots of room. Our 3 grandchildren had a blast even though it rained on Saturday. They especially liked the bunk room and the videos downstairs. Thanks Bonnie and Bob, we all appreciate it. Nice and relaxing too!

Pleasant experience

The house is beautiful with an awesome view of the lake. Just about everything you need for cooking, sleeping, and game playing is furnished. It was a total relaxing and fun time with no need to leave the premise. The owners are great to work with making sure your stay is a pleasant one.

Beautiful Vacation Home

We had a great stay at the "Doug-Out". The house was amazing! It was clean and very well stocked. The view of the lake was beautiful from the house. There was a lot of outdoor space as well. We loved the firepit. The decks and the docks were great places to hang out and enjoy morning coffee or to fish from. We truly enjoyed the lake - kayaking, tubing and fishing. We would definitely recommend this property for your next vacation stay!

Amazing View!

We were impressed at how well the kitchen was stocked. King bed was comfortable. Nice large dining table for games. Even though there was no WiFi we had good cell service. Very nice down by the lake watching the bluegills and ducks. Great for viewing the full lunar eclipse too! Neighbors were not too close. Room to play washers.

Comfortable inside, has everything you need. Exterior upkeep lacking.

Had an ok time as weather did not cooperate. If weather had, would have been really nice to have a lawn that was mowed and some exterior cleaning done.

My apologies for the lawn if it was long. It had been two weeks since I was there and with spring rains it can grow pretty quickly sometimes. I would also agree the exterior was not in good shape when I arrived shortly after your stay. The cob webs/spiders had been busy and was certainly not what I would have wanted for my stay either. I can assure you and others steps will be taken in the future to address the cob web issues by using a pest control company that can spray and deter this problem. Property was great! Love the firepit. Nice and big with plenty of wood. Love the deck. Love the views. Beds were comfortable. Had everything we needed. Lake was kind of weedy but still good. (We were told it was unusual). It was really big with plenty of room for skiing and tubing. There was also good flat areas to play yard games. Wolf river rafting from Herb's was near enough to go. Definitely would recommend.

Beautiful view and beautiful cabin!

Our family really enjoyed spending our long weekend at “The Doug Out”. The large deck was situated right next to the water where we spent much of our day telling stories and enjoying the weather. The cabin was spacious and comfortable with a great fire pit area. Bob was very accommodating and answered any questions we had quickly. We will definitely keep this place on the list of places to rent again!

All of us had a great time.

The cabin was super. There was 7 of us staying there. Five adults and 2 children. We had plenty of space. My 2 grand children slept in the bunk room. It was great. We spent a lot of time on the deck and pier. I enjoyed helping my granddaughter catch bluegills from the pier. The only downside was bringing our own sheets and hauling our garbage.

Relaxing lake views

Excellent weather and beautiful lake views. The place is a bit more remote than we anticipated and we weren't able to go swimming in the lake -- which has nothing to do with the quality of the home or property. We like to be out and about doing things in the area, so took day trips while there. Ideal setting for someone with their own boat or love of fishing. Home was very clean, had everything we needed to grill out and make meals while there, including roasting hot dogs over the well-stocked fire pit one night.. Owner was very responsive throughout booking and stay.

Awesome Views

Wonderful place to stay with beautiful views! Very close to the boat landing. Love that it is very private, you won't want to go home 🙂 This cabin has everything you need plus more. Sitting on the pier watching the eagles fly overhead, loons, ducks and so much more.

My wife and I have been coming to the Pickerel Lake area for over 35 years. In 2003 we bought a 2 bedroom home on Pickerel Lake and used it for our families enjoyment as well some rentals. We decided to purchase a larger home recently on this same lake to accommodate our growing family.
Pickerel Lake has brought us a lot of memorable good times, family gatherings and relaxing fun. We look forward to many more good times and plan to share our home with others who wish to do the same.

Why they chose this property

This property is both private yet sits on 300' of beautiful sand bottom lake frontage. The house is plenty large to accommodate a growing family for us and guests.

What makes this property unique

This home is very close to the water and has great window views of the lake from inside the home. Everyone who walks in walks directly to the lake side windows and say- wow, this is a million dollar view. I have to say I agree with them, Its what I thought when I first walked in.
