Big Blue was designed with family in mind. There are two master bedrooms with king size beds. The second floor features the first master with its own private bathroom. The main floor master has a bathroom across the hall. Both master bedrooms have their own tv. The spacious basement features multiple bedding options. The common area has a set of bunk beds. The third bedroom is filled with two full size beds and the smallest bedroom has a day bed with a trundle that can be rolled out. There are plenty of games and puzzles in the cabinet under the big screen television. This common room is a perfect spot for playing games at the table or watching movies as a family or cheering on your favorite team on the screen.

Our home is located in a quiet area on the northern side of Lake Martin. We love being able to take advantage of the quiet and calm waters in the Madwind Creek portion of Lake Martin. We have a canoe, paddleboard and Maui Mat for your use. We are about 10 minutes from the Smith Mountain Fire tower if you are looking for some fun hiking trails and are up to the challenge of climbing the tower.

There is a boat ramp just around the corner if you choose to bring your boat. We are 10 minutes from downtown Alexander City with some cute shopping and dining destinations. Auburn University is about 35 minutes away, an ideal day trip for a campus tour and some Toomer's lemonade.

This is our vacation home we visit on a regular basis. Because we are there so frequently we hope everything will be in tiptop shape for your visit. Should you need anything during your stay, we will be available through text, phone call or email.

Great getaway !

Wonderful, clean and quiet

The property was exactly what we were looking for. Nice bedrooms with AMAZING outdoor space. When visiting the lake little time is spent inside. The kitchen had all of the amenities we needed and more. The outside areas are comfy, clean and have a beautiful view ! We will be returning for another stay!

Wonderful Property

We had 9 people staying at the house and everyone had plenty of room. The house decor is very nice-comfortable but pretty. The landscaping around the house is beautiful. The pier, floating dock and fire pit were very well done and we all enjoyed using them. My 30- something kids all enjoyed the slide, too, and the float mat and paddle board. This owner really provided extras that not many others do. We all really had a wonderful time and hope to be able to come back again.

Auburn University Graduation Celebration

This was the most perfect place to rent for our daughter's graduation weekend from Auburn University. The location was only 35 mins from campus with an easy drive. Communication with the owner was super easy and finding and getting into the house was very easy. The house was spotless and decorated beautifully. We spent the weekend sitting on the dock and swimming in the lake. They had lifevest, floatation toys, and a cool ice chest right on the dock for us to use. At night we sat around the beautiful stone fire pit and relaxed. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we need to make our meals and store leftovers. I would highly recommend this location to anyone! We all wished we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful Lake Martin!

Lake Martin is a beautifully clean lake and the location of Big Blue can't be beat. It is in the perfect area to allow for children to swim and play without worrying about boat traffic. The house is spacious and my family of five had plenty of room to spread out. The teenagers loved having the basement to themselves and I enjoyed reading in the loft each morning. The large deck and dock provide tons of outdoor seating and wonderful views of the lake. Margaret was very responsive to messages during our stay.

Perfect lakeside stay!

Absolutely wonderful stay at the lake! The home is beautiful and packed full of activities for you and your family. With Margaret’s recommendation, we rented a boat at Bay Pines and had a great experience! The water slide was also a hit. Make sure to bring s’more supplies for an evening bonfire. I’d love to come back here again. Thanks for a great time!

Fantastic Trip

We had an amazing time at Big Blue Lake Martin. The house was perfect for our family vacation. From the amazing view with plenty of sitting areas to all the outdoor toys. The house is perfect for all ages. The property owners made everything easy with checking in and out.

Great Getaway!!

Big Blue is an amazing house with a fantastic view of the lake. The paddle board, water mat, and water slide were a huge hit. The outdoor spaces are very nice and I fell in love with the swing. This house has everything you need. It sits in a very quiet and peaceful location on the northern part of the lake. This was our first time to Lake Martin and we had the best time. Thank you to the Coger’s for sharing your home.

Fantastic Vacation Home!❤️

We chose this home for our quarterly family trip with our grown children & 2 young grandchildren and it was perfect! Margaret has done a fabulous job creating a very comfortable but elegant atmosphere! The property is fantastic & the dock is perfect to hang out in the evenings and the slide on the roof was a big hit, especially with the big kids! And what an unbelievable selection of cooking areas, there are three different grills at this home that are all in excellent condition! Perfect if you have a chef (hubby) who loves to grill 😋. This home also has a terrific fire pit with Adirondack chairs around it for an evening hang out making s’mores and chatting❤️ We will absolutely be back! Thank you to the Croger’s for sharing this beautiful place!

Wedding weekend

We had a fantastic weekend at this property and would love to rent again. Very well laid out, clean and beautiful lake location. We loved the outdoor living and flagstone fire pit. Highly recommend the house and a visit to lake Martin!!

Relax and Recharge

What a beautiful lake home, complete with every single thing we need to enjoy a week/weekend by the water. The kitchen was fully stocked with any utensils, containers or appliances we needed, even spices! Water toys and a fully accessible dock, were also a plus. We were able to rent a pontoon boat, with the help of Margret's suggestion, and it was conveniently located close to the property! My husband and I, along with my parents and our 2 kids, enjoyed a week of unwinding and unplugging in what felt like a home away from home!
