Oceanfront, Newly Renovated, Luxury Two-Story Penthouse - Shipwatch 418

Welcome to Shipwatch 418! We recently completed a full renovation of our two-story, oceanfront, Shipwatch penthouse in Wild Dunes and are happy to welcome guests looking for a serene getaway!

Directly on the beach and offering truly spectacular views from 2 oceanfront balconies, this 1600+ sqft penthouse is a two-story, open concept unit on the top floor and has the largest floor plan in Shipwatch.

The home has three beautifully decorated bedrooms and three spa-like baths. There are two master bedrooms (both with new high-end pillow-top king size beds) upstairs - one overlooking the private beach and largest pool in Wild Dunes, and the other overlooking the par 3, 12th hole of the award winning Wild Dunes Links golf course. The third bedroom is on the main floor with two new twin beds. The living room sofa has a pullout queen sleeper if additional sleeping space is needed, and all bedrooms have their own large flat screen smart TVs. Each bedroom also has its own en-suite bathroom that has been newly renovated with marble counter tops and all high-end finishes. The primary master shower has two shower heads with pebble tile flooring, and the other two bathrooms have deep soaking tubs.

No expense was spared in this renovation. Living and dining room has all new designer furniture, 65” smart HDTV, WIFI with high-speed internet and cable TV.
The fully stocked kitchen is brand new with marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, beverage fridge and new high-end counter appliances (blender, coffee maker, etc.). The home also has a brand new full-size washer and dryer in the unit on the second floor.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
Remove all food items from the property, load all dirty dishes into dishwasher and start the dishwasher
Deposit trash bags in the garbage room at the end of the hall
Strip linens from the beds and pile them on the bedroom floors (however, do not remove the mattress protectors from the mattresses).
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No decorations attached to walls. Removing tape will cause paint to peal due to moisture/salt in the air. Guests will be charged to repair any damage
Given the short timeframe for housekeeping to clean our property and all the other homes under their care, we are unable to provide early check-in

We loved our stay! Plenty of room for a family of four - could comfortably fit up to 8. The location was beautiful - great views of the ocean, just steps away. Quite beaches stretched for miles. The pool was fantastic too - like new lounge chairs and very quiet.If you’re going to make a grocery store run, do it on your way in Harris Teeter or Target - they’re a bit of a windy, slow drive away.

Most pleasant stay. We have used other units in Shipwatch through the years and 418C has been the best by far. Outside of a minor issue with the ice maker everything was perfect. I would like to inform Steve (owner) that an allen wrench adjustment needs to be made to the toilet paper holder in the upstairs front bathroom.

This property was ideal for our family of four with young kids. The property had all of the essentials needed to allow us to unwind and relax, including two "master" bedrooms on the top floor with individual bathrooms.The pool was a 30 second walk and the beach was about a 3 minute walk. Low tide at the beach was great for the kids to walk way out into the water and explore the sand bar.Restaurants and shops were a short drive, as well as marinas, boat rentals, and plenty of activities to engage in.We'd be happy to return to this rental another time!
