We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property!

We stayed for over a month and wished we stayed longer! The place was very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, and perfectly located. The hosts pay attention to all of the little details, and the place is well stocked with anything you would need. We would definitely love to come back!

Longboat Key 2023

The property is in a wonderful location - an older neighborhood with five great restaurants within blocks. It is one block from the bay and about five short blocks to a beautiful gulf beach. The house is cute with two bedrooms. The apartment over the garage has one bedroom, a well-furnished living room, a nice screened-in porch and outside deck. Other reviews have mentioned a mildew smell when entering the apartment. That’s accurate, but those who stayed there said they didn’t smell it at all after just 2 or 3 minutes. The pool was wonderful and the landscaping is beautiful. Ellie was very responsive when we needed anything. There are lots of beach toys and boogie boards. We would have stayed again next year, but it wasn’t available for the same months. Enjoy!

Another day(s) in paradise!

Wonderful, unique updated, very private, “old Florida” property in a quiet, neighborhood. Very nice pool and spa. Nearby beach is beautiful and not crowded, great for walking. Owners were very friendly, extremely responsive to any communications or concerns. Three nice restaurants within walking distance.

Thank you for your feedback. We are always open to hearing how we can make our renters’ experience even better. Keep in mind the house was built in the early 1900’s. FYI-The previous owners left a ton of nails on the wall. As we discover amazing art, the walls will have less nails exposed. Every renter is greeted with a very clean home. Dust settles quickly and each renter is responsible for cleaning unless specify they would like a professional clean during their stay.

Really paradise

Ellie and Evan's home is paradise. Right in Long Beach Village equidistant to Sarasota Bay and The Gulf of Mexico and 4 superb restaurants within walking distance!

Cool, Quaint, Quirky and Charming

My husband and I spent all of January, February and the first week of March 2021 here and absolutely loved it! The weather was perfect, and the location couldn’t be better. We could walk to at least four great restaurants (Shore, Mar Vista, Whitney’s and Bayou Tavern) as well as beaches on the Gulf of Mexico and Sarasota Bay. The main house is a remodeled 100+ year old historic structure that maintains its original charm. The Master bedroom is big and comfortable with a sink, toilet and claw foot bathtub. The quirkiness stems from a lack of a wall separating the bath area from the rest of the room and the fact that the shower was in the bath downstairs. However, it was never a problem with just the two of us in the house. The screened front porch and swing are great places to sit and relax or read. However, the back pool area between the main house and the guest house/garage apartment steals the show. It is wonderful during the day and magical when lit up at night! My husband could frequently be found enjoying the outside jacuzzi with libation in hand and an occasional cigar. We entertained friends poolside several nights. Two different couples friends stayed in the guest house apartment a few nights each and loved it. Both are considering renting in 2022. If you’re looking for cool, quaint, charming and historic, this is the place.

Why they chose this property

There is no other property like 680 Broadway. The well-known cottage is like stepping into your own private resort with plenty of space inside and out to relax, entertain, and enjoy. Turn left and you can walk to the beach and restaurants. Turn right and you can fish on the docks and try some more restaurants. Stay home and swim and relax in your hot tub while heating the BBQ for a fun night at home. This house allows you to enjoy friends and family without feeling on top of one another. The neighborhood is very friendly and safe.
