A few college friends traveled to GA to ride side by sides at Iron Mountain Resort and this was our choice for lodging. It was PERFECT! The fire pit was our main draw and were pleasantly surprised at the amazing views. It rained the first evening, so we were occupied with the pool table and air hockey table. Had a great fire the second night. Accommodations were exactly what we needed. The location was also convenient to many local restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!
I booked the Wine Retreat to ring in my 40th birthday with my best friends. The home is clean, comfortable, spacious, picturesque and exactly what we were looking for!! I would absolutely come back and stay again!!
The property was beautifully nestled in the mountains. Quiet serenity, with the perfect setup to enjoy the view, sit around the campfire. Every detail has been attended to. We will definitely come back!
Great location with hiking, wineries, Dahlonega and Helen all only a short drive away. Beautiful sunrise view from the back porch. House is clean with everything you need. Both highly convenient and charming. There is a even a fun game room in the lower level with air hockey and pool table. The property is not remote (there are a few neighboring houses nearby on the same road), but it is exactly what we were looking for as a prime jumping off point for a combination of relaxation and mountain adventure. Would recommend!
We had a mixed group of family & friends up from Jacksonville, FL from Friday until Monday. The place was lovely with a beautiful view. Half the group went to the UGA game on Saturday, the other half toured local wineries and nearby Helen. Sunday we had a wedding in Dahlonega and we were centrally located for all our activities.
Can’t say enough nice things about the owner; he was in constant communication with us and we had zero issues. Cabin large and spacious, beautiful home and beautifully decorated. If in the area again, we will stay here. 10 / 10. Loved it.
We spent the week of Thanksgiving at this lovely cabin. The game room downstairs was tons of fun, the decor of the home was cozy and chic, fire pit was perfect and best of all the mountain view was BEAUTIFUL! Location was top notch too….we loved visiting local vineyards and hiking great trails. And to top it all off, Sydney was kind, responsive and helpful. Don’t hesitate to book this cabin!
We absolutely LOVED our stay at this cabin! It exceeded our expectations and was very well maintained and kept. It fit our whole family - kids included! We will definitely want to stay here again - the view was absolutely gorgeous, the best one we think on the street!
The Wine Retreat Cabin was so cute from the minute we pulled up to the welcoming scarecrows with the beautiful mountain view in the background. Coming from Chicago it gave us an instant feeling of relaxation with the towering trees all around and the lovely sounds of the forest.
We couldn’t be more happy with the location, cleanliness and overall communication with home owner. We typically come up to the area of a cycling trip and this was by far the best cabin we’ve stayed at. The location is fantastic right between Dahlonega and Helen with plenty of roads to climb and extra activities around the area. Cabin was spaced perfectly well for 7 of us and the sunrise view off the back porch was 2nd to none. Can’t ask for more. 5 out of 5 star ratings all day long
We rented this property for a bachelorette celebration and it fit all 7 of us perfectly. We had plenty of space for eveyone to sleep and visit comfortably and the house was stocked with everything we needed. The scenery is beautiful and the cabin is nicely decorated and well taken care of. I would return and reccomend to anyone wanting to host a large group or spend a quiet weekend away.
We had a very nice weekend stay! Cabin is very clean and bright with great views. Location is 20 minutes or less to hiking, wineries, and Helen. We used many of the amenities: pool table, dart board, cornhole, gas grill, fire pit. Everything was great, I would surely recommend!

We are a Family with a passion for exploring. We visited N. Georgia so often, that we decided to buy a 2nd home here. We are happy to share it with you.
Why they chose this property
Our cabin, The Wine Retreat, is so conveniently located to over a dozen N. Georgia wineries. We found ourselves visiting the area 1-2 times a month, and decided we needed to make the move! You're able to explore and enjoy the wineries in a simple day trip and come back home to a beautiful cabin to continue the fun. In addition, you're in the midst of great food, hiking, fishing, water tubing and more.
This is our 2nd home, so we keep it up like as if we were staying there. We have a high standard of quality and we truly hope our guests appreciate it as well. We trust our guests will take care of our 2nd home, like their own.
What makes this property unique
While the Cleveland/Dahlonega area isn't as mountainous as Blue Ridge or Cherokee, NC, for example, it's only 1.5 hours from Atlanta in lieu of 3 hours. This amazing proximity to Metro ATL makes it for a great quick getaway.
You still get beautiful mountain views and all the outdoor activities that N. Georgia has to offer. We believe that these unique benefits are why this area has blown up with visitors over the past several years.
