Well-being and relaxation by the pool or in the garden under lemon and kumquat trees overlooking the bay to Cinque terre, or in the library by the fireplace, playing billiards; or plan a day trip to the surrounding area under the palm trees by the pool - all this far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life; And yet, within a few minutes' walk in the old town of Massa, you can shop at the weekly market or enjoy the sophisticated life in Forte dei Marmi at a distance of about 7 km.
For beach lovers in Versilia with about 20 km of sandy beaches are enough bathing facilities available.
Plan boat trips from Marina di Massa via the ports of Lerici to Porto Venere, Cinque Terre or prepare the evening in one of the many small trattoria's in the mountains.
Meat and fresh fish from the mercato coperta can be cooked on the grill.
Art monuments there are so many that they do not need to be enumerated. We are happy to assist with travel guides and advice and, if time permits, we are happy to spoil you with a local food by appointment.

Lovely place - highly recommended!

We had an amazing week in this large romantic house. Everything was clean, well equipped kitchen, very nice pool and garden. Only 5 minute walk to nice restaurants. And Marion was the sweetest host ever that really made an effort to make us feel welcome. We will be back for sure!

A pleasant stay

We enjoyed our stay in Massa a lot and the house and its facilities were just perfect for the six of us. Everything needed was there and our landlord was always supportive and helped out, if needed. Great food, perfect view on a nice landscape and all needed shopping facilities in close reach completed our vacation. We’ll surely be back to Tuscany soon.

Wonderful stay

We had a fantastic time at the property. We loved the wonderful large swimming pool with a gorgeous view over the town, the beautiful gardens and the lovely terrace for sitting out and eating al fresco. The accommodation is spacious and beautifully kept and we were pleasantly cool in the evenings because of the mountain location. Marion is the kindest of hosts - nothing was too much trouble for her and she went out of her way to help us and offer suggestions, which made our stay very special. Massa has some great places to eat and you can easily get to the train station for excursions to Lucca, Pisa and Florence. Thoroughly recommend this, we hope to return and thank you Marion.

Fantastic location!

The beautiful home is located 7 minutes walk from the town which is very atmospheric, chilled out and a lovely place to wander during the early evening aperitivo hour. We were initially surprised to find the landlady lived in the villa (on the top floor) but Marion could not be more discrete. She was available for any advice or recommendations. The house itself was spotlessly clean, with spacious rooms, and a view over the town and coastline to die for. We were initially concerned about no aircon or fans but given its location up the hillside, we found the temperature to be relatively cool (35 degrees outside). The gardens were lush and a great places to relax by the sizeable pool (beware of mosquitos if you are prone to attracting them). Downstairs fridge came in handy for our wine and beers! A great week in a fantastic location.

Wir haben zwei Wochen in diesem Haus verbracht und konnten insgesamt die italienische Atmosphäre sehr genießen.Das Haus ist groß und geräumig, mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf das Meer und einem großen Swimmingpool. Für die Kinder war der Pool eine große Freude. Leider bekamen sie schon nach kurzer Zeit Hautreizungen, vermutlich aufgrund des hohen Chlorgehalts, sodass wir zwischen den Badezeiten längere Pausen einlegen mussten.Im Haus gibt es keine Klimaanlage. Das war allerdings eher mein eigener Fehler bei der Buchung – ich bin davon ausgegangen, dass eine Klimaanlage vorhanden ist, und habe deshalb vorher nicht darauf geachtet. Im Juli hätten wir sie bei den hohen Temperaturen natürlich manchmal sehr vermisst.Besonders schön fanden wir die große Bibliothek im Haus mit vielen Büchern auf Deutsch, Englisch und in anderen Sprachen. Das war wirklich angenehm und hat dem Haus eine besondere Atmosphäre verliehen.Leider gab es während unseres Aufenthalts Probleme mit dem WLAN. In den ersten Tagen funktionierte das Internet noch, danach fiel es leider aus. Wir haben schließlich für die Kinder mobiles Internet für Touristen gekauft und hatten damit bis zum Ende unseres Urlaubs keine weiteren Probleme. Einen Fernseher für die Kinder haben wir ebenfalls etwas vermisst.Die Gastgeberin ist eine sehr freundliche, offene und kommunikative Frau.Trotz einiger Punkte, die für uns nicht ganz unkompliziert waren, konnten wir uns gut erholen und Italien sehr genießen!

A beautiful house in a nice location – but not the right choice if privacy is important.We spent two weeks in this Villa. Overall, it is a lovely property with nice views and a peaceful hillside location. Marion, the host, is very knowledgeable about the area and was always happy to share recommendations. Her local insight was genuinely appreciated and added value to our stay.However, there were several aspects that future guests should be aware of. The most important one is privacy. Marion lives on the top floor of the house, and in our opinion this should be stated much more clearly in the listing. We have rented many similar villas over the years and especially enjoy the feeling of having a private home to ourselves. Here, the host was much closer to us than we had expected. If complete privacy is an important part of your holiday, this is probably not the right property.Unfortunately, we were also without Wi-Fi for 10 of our 14 days. While we fully understand that the outage itself was beyond the host's control, we were disappointed by the complete lack of flexibility when we politely asked whether the linen fee could be waived as a goodwill gesture to compensate for a service we did not receive (we had to upgrade our cell phone plans in order to receive the coverage we needed). The answer was a firm no, with no attempt at finding a compromise. To make matters worse, when we paid the linen fee before departure, we were questioned about why we even wanted a receipt.

Wir waren zu sechst - mit unseren vier Kindern - und unserem Hund für acht Tage in der Villa Giulia zu Gast. Kurz gesagt, haben wir die Zeit hier sehr genossen. Das Haus ist geräumig und großzügig, der wunderschöne Garten mit Blick auf Massa und das Meer ein erweitertes Wohnzimmer. Wenn der Weg zum Meer einmal zu weit sein sollte, bietet der Pool eine perfekte Möglichkeit für Abkühlung.Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, und unterstützt gerne, wenn es um eine Reservierung im Restaurant oder ähnliches geht. Wir hoffen jedenfalls, wieder hierher kommen zu dürfen.

Der perfekte Ort für Familienferien

Das grosse Haus inmitten des wunderbaren Garten und der Aussicht aufs Meer bietet für jeden einen Ort der Gemeinschaft oder auch der individuellen Ruhe.Man trifft sich für die Mahlzeiten auf dem grosszügigen Platz vor dem Haus umgeben von grossartigen Hortensien, duftendem Jasmin; Rosmarin, weissen und violetten Buddleia,Blumen aller Art ...oder am grossen sauberen Pool inmitten von Mandarinen-, Kumquat-, Zitronen-, Oliven- und Pflaumenbäumen, die grosszügigen Schatten bieten.Wem es zu heiss ist, kann sich ins immer kühle Haus zurückziehen.Die Gastgeberin hat ein offenes Ohr für jedes Anliegen und ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit.Vielen Dank Marion für Ihre herzliche Gastfreundschaft!

Sehr schöner erholsamer Urlaub mit tollem Ausblick auf Massa und das Meer

Wir verbrachten einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub in der Villa Giulia. Von der Vermieterin Marion wurden wir sehr herzlich und gastfreundlich empfangen. Marion gab uns viele wertvolle Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt in Massa und Umgebung (Ausflugsziele, Restaurants u.s.w.). Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr ruhig am Ende einer Sackgasse mit super Ausblick auf die Stadt und das Meer. Auf dem gepflegten großen Grundstück konnte man ungestört entspannen (Vermieterin wohnt in der oberen Etage was für uns überhaupt kein Problem darstellte). Auch mit unserem kleinen Hund war es total unkompliziert. Die Unterkunft war sehr geräumig, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Am großen Billiardtisch haben wir viele Partien "Goriziana-Billard" gespielt. Der Pool ist groß, sauber und gepflegt. Wir danken Vermieterin Marion für diese schöne Woche, es war sehr angenehm mit ihr! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Schöner, erholsamer Aufenthalt bei Marion in Massa

Das Anwesen liegt sehr idyllisch am Berg im hinteren Teil von Massa. Der Blick - wie auf den Bildern, auf das Meer gerichtet, ist sehr schön. Das Haus, der Pool als auch der Garten sind gepflegt. Dort lässt es sich sehr gut aushalten. Marion war von Anfang an sehr bemüht, alle Fragen rund um den Aufenthalt zu beantworten. Sprich auch ein halbstündiges Telefonat vor dem Aufenthalt, in dem alle möglichen Fragen von ihr beantwortet wurden, war kein Problem. Auch vor Ort hat uns Marion mit Tipps zu ansässigen Restaurants und Sonstigem vielerlei Infos gegeben. Was für uns anfangs nicht ganz klar war: Marion wohnt aktuell mit ihrer Mutter im oberen Teil des Hauses. Das stellte sich aber für uns als kein Problem heraus, da für Marion auch Abende, die bis 2 Uhr morgens auf der Terrasse stattfanden, keinerlei Problem darstellten. Sommerurlaub in Massa

Wir, 2 Mamas mit je 2 Kindern (zwischen 2 - 9 Jahren) haben eine Woche unserer Sommerferien in diesem tollen Haus verbacht. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben uns allesamt sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus sowie der wundervoll, üppige Garten/Pool sind hervorragend ausgestattet, und hält was es verspricht. Frau Bachmann-Borsalino ist sehr bemüht um Ihre Gäste, sie hat für alle Anliegen gute Tipps auf Lager vom besten Gelato bis his zur Strandempfehlung. Vielen Dank für die tolle Woche!

Wunderschöner Urlaub in der Toskana

Unseren Urlaub in Massa können wir nur als ,,Traumhaft" beschreiben. Das Haus ist wie beschrieben großzügig geschnitten und sehr hübsch eingerichtet. Der Garten ist einfach nur wunderschön und der Pool riesig. Die Vermieterin war sehr nett und hilfsbereit und lud uns zu einem tollen Abendessen zu sich ein. Bei einem wunderbaren Wein und sensationellen Blick auf Massa gab sie uns viele Empfehlungen für Restaurants und Ausflüge. Ihre Gärtnerin versorgte uns gegen kleines Geld mit frischem Gemüse und im eigenen Garten konnte man sich einfach am dort wachsendem Obst bedienen. Regelmäßig wurden wir gefragt, ob sie uns etwas aus der Stadt mitbringen darf und wir haben ihr Angebot dankbar angenommen. Von Massa aus kann man viele Ausflüge machen und es gibt ausreichende Möglichkeiten zum Einkaufen. Ein Auto ist empfehlenswert. In der alten Stadt ( zu Fuß erreichbar) kann man günstiger Essen und Trinken,als am Meer in Marina di Massa. Wir können dieses Objekt sehr empfehlen und werden ganz sicher wieder kommen. Vielen lieben Dank für diesen erholsamen Urlaub.

Liebe Mieter, natürlich sind unsere Möbel "etwas in die Jahre gekommen" - dies entspricht unserem Einrichtungskonzept mit (abgebildeten) Möbeln der Epoche ca 1898 bis 1920 oder zB Knoll Design der 1980ger Jahre; ansonsten wird das Objekt fortlaufend in Schuss gehalten - (bis auf den Kühlschrank, der wurde nun ausgetauscht!😊)

Schöner Aufenthalt in Massa

Wir hatten einige schöne Tage in Massa. Das Haus ist sehr groß, sauber und überzeugt mit einem tollen Ausblick über Massa bis zum Meer. Der Pool ist ebenfalls sehr groß und der tolle Garten lädt zum Verweilen ein. Lediglich die vielen Stechmücken waren etwas störend. Die Vermieterin war sehr nett und hilfsbereit, es lohnt sich sie nach Tipps für Ausflugsziele oder Restaurants zu fragen.

Gorgeous Property!

This property is really beautiful and full of character. There are fruit trees and flowers and a gorgeous view. The pool was great and the kids loved it. Marion lives upstairs and was there most of the time. She was really nice (she’s German and speaks both German and English) and left us fresh tomatoes and other treats and helped us dry our clothes when we weren’t home, which was really nice. The only downside is that she charges extra if you want sheets or pillows for the beds and towels for the bathroom, which I didn’t see in the listing. We had to pay 150 euros more for those basic amenities, which for a place of this price, should have been included (or just add it to the listing price so we don’t have to even think and worry about it). I have to bring my own bedding to a campground, but not to a luxury vrbo. Other than that, it was an awesome stay! Just beautiful!

Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet und hat reichlich Platz. Garten und Pool sind ein Traum. Sehr schöne Strände sind mit dem Auto in 15 min zu erreichen. Massa selbst ist eben nicht die typische Touristenhochburg und damit auch ursprünglicher.

Nice house in a quiet location

We enjoyed a nice stay in a pretty and very clean house. The fenced garden was perfect for our dog. We were a little surprised to learn that the landlady actually staid in the same house - she lives permanently on the upper floor - but this was ok, since Marion turned out to be a very nice lady who knows all the best places for fresh Italian food 😊 Not a party location for older teenagers, but ideal for a quiet sun vacation

Wonderful stay!

We had an amazing stay at Marion’s house in Massa. The house is perfectly situated in a quiet area overlooking the sea and the city: a quick walk down the hill brought us to restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries etc. The house was extremely clean, spacious and comfortable. The pool was lovely…and very much appreciated at the end of a hot day of visiting around Massa. Marion was very friendly and helpful. She was quite discrete and allowed us privacy as a family when we were in the pool etc. At the same time, she was always available when we had a question or desired some travel advice. We highly recommend this house. We really appreciated the location as it was a short drive to the sea as well as other charming towns and sights.

Tolles Haus in toller Lage

Ein wunderbarer Urlaub. Das Haus ist perfekt ausgestattet und spottet mitsamt dem unglaublichen Garten jeder Beschreibung. Das Grundstück ist einfach wunderbar angelegt, die Bepflanzung ist ein Traum, und der Pool riesig und zum Schwimmen einfach perfekt. Abends kommen die Glühwürmchen am Waldrand zur Erscheinung, und auf der anderen Seite schaut man auf die beleuchtete Stadt und das Meer. Ein Traum. Auch die Betreuung durch die Vermieterin und die sehr nette Dame vor Ort ist toll. Gerne immer wieder. Danke für alles
