Rustic and cozy knotty pine cabin. The Pine at Hiawatha Cabins

Hiawatha Cabins is a group of five rental cabins. This is the Pine. This cabin sleeps up to eight comfortably. Please specify numbers of guests for booking.

Sxs/snowmobilers - You can ride from your door at the Pine, 1 mile off Trail 7 (Hwy 13 and C.R. 440).

Also great for families, hunters, fisherman or off-road enthusiasts.

We have tried to be as specific as possible about proximities to local attractions, please read entire listing for specifics.

We are located in the middle of the Hiawatha National Forest, within one mile distance of the trail 7. You can literally ride from your front door. The groomed trails provide hundreds of miles of connecting trails to any destination in the Upper Peninsula.

This cabin is located in a rural area, popular for all types of outdoors activity, enjoyed by people from all walks of life. Please be aware that seasonally, you may encounter different activities: snowmobilers in winter; atv/off-road riders summer and fall; fishermen with their variety of catches; hunters, hounds and different species being harvested from mid-September through November.

We are out of the hustle and bustle of the "city", remotely located in the "Heart of the Hiawatha National Forest". When using a map to locate our proximity to all that the central U.P. has to offer, please google "Hiawatha Cabins, LLC, Wetmore, MI", which is the most accurate address that will show up on the maps. All cabins have their name above the door. We are approximately 20 miles south of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, 20 miles southeast of Munising, 30 miles northwest of Manistique and 35 miles east of Escanaba.

There are numerous fishing lakes within minutes of the cabins. Snowmobile/ORV Trail 7 is less than a mile from the front door. There are also a couple swimming beaches on inland lakes/picnic areas within a couple minutes drive. Bruno's Run bike/hike trail is 7 minutes north, as is McKeever Hills x-country ski trailhead. The Indian River with canoe access at Widewaters is about 10 minutes to the north. Pine Martin Run horse trails are about 10 miles to the east. Eben Ice Caves are about 30 miles to the northwest. Kitch-iti-kipi (Big Springs) is about a 30 mile drive to the southeast. Pictured Rocks are a 20 mile drive to the north. Lots of outdoor, year-round recreation.

It rocks!
We came up to the UP to have a nice vacation and to collect rocks. During our stay, the host was extremely accommodating, responded quickly, and provided everything we needed to have a fantastic stay. The cabins are cozy and are set up to have everything we needed in a home away from home.
