Cle Elum is just a short drive away and includes incredible hiking trails to embark on with one another, as well as dining and shopping options such as the antique mall, Black Sheep Homegoods, Cavallini + Co, and Basecamp Outfitters. On the subject of hiking, Gold Creek Pond features a scenic trail that even the youngest members of the group can enjoy, while Red Top Lookout offers a similar experience. Lake Easton is also a gorgeous locale to explore, no matter the time of year.

Send the kids (and the family dogs) out to collect kindling from the forested sections of the property, then light up a fire in the wood-burning stove to keep everyone toasty. Gaze out over Lavender Lake and the mountains, or switch on the living room TV and make snacks in the full kitchen for the ultimate game day! Outside, fire up the gas grill and gather around the picnic table for the perfect summertime cookout, then take the three kayaks out onto the lake and relax on the water. You can also light a fire out in the firepit for fun times together under the stars.

Lovely Home with a few issues
The seclusion, the size of the house and all the rooms, the well stocked kitchen, the outdoor space.

Disappointment
I don’t know where to start except for stating I believe all the good reviews must be coming from employees of Vacasa. I have been for 10 years now and never had an experience like I had at this house! And saying that I will never rent from Vacasa again.

Extremely dirty
Where to start. We stayed at lavender lodge for 2 nights. We were in the area for a funeral, and decided to have a cousin getaway. As you walk in, the doorway is covered in spiders and webs. I would understand around the house, but having to sweep off 1000s of webs to enter the house. The bedding, especially the comforters and UNDER the sheets were covered in human and dog hair. The dining room table was held together with duct tape, which made it difficult to not worry while playing a game, or having a meal with family at the table. The cob webs covered the ceiling, filled with dead bugs. Also, above the stove was covered with dead incects. The ceiling fan was caked with dust. We did not want to use it. The amenities in the kitchen especially were absolutely disgusting. The sugar container had some kind of black group dripping on the inside. Every utensil was dirty in the drawers. Basic things like salt were not available. And the things that were had an expiration date from 2014. We had to wash every dish before use. There was an air freshener in the kitchen covered in brown substance, and expired in 2018. This was supposed to be a dog friendly house, it was extremely uneasy to find thumb tacks all over the back yard. Very disturbing for taking your pet out to use the bathroom. The house is on well water, and was warned before hand. But it was worse than explained in the listing. The sulfur smell was torturous. If someone attempted to hold their breath to take a shower, it made the entire house smell like rotting eggs. It also stained everything it touched brown. Toilets, shower, linen. I was uncomfortable washing my babies bottles. And yet, they said it's safe to drink? If it turns your sheets brown, I don't want to know what it does to your organs. All and all I am very disappointed paying what we did for the cleanliness, and the down played warning about the water. We would never stay here again. And I suggest if you want clean sheets to sleep in, you shouldn't either.

Great place - bad management
This home is wonderful - beautiful property tucked back in the woods, lake view and a quick ride to Cle Elum and Ellensburg. However, the management company leaves much to be desired. We found Vacasa unresponsive and unhelpful. I would give them zero stars is possible. Messages went unanswered, some were cut & paste responses and others were nonsensical (could have been some kind of cheap AI software). The property is great - I recommend it if you want a cool place close to Cle Elum. However, for the money involved, the management company does not provide an acceptable level of service. So don’t expect any kind of supper from them. I really hope the owners find a different company to take care of their great house. Also - we had a scary run-in with the neighbors Rottweiler so use caution if you’re exploring outside.
