About this property

5 bedroom, 4 bath OKEMO Ski and LAKE Home with A/C

A wonderful SKI and LAKE home with sandy bottom lake access and dock on LAKE RESCUE is the perfect place to call home during all your skiing and water adventures.

Just 5 minutes to both OKEMO and downtown Ludlow, this home holds views of the lake and is only steps from the shore. Enjoy both winter and summer fun on Lake Rescue.

This 5-bedroom, 4-bath Ludlow home totals over 4,000 SF, adjacent to Lake Rescue and just minutes to both OKEMO (5 minutes) and KILLINGTON (17 minutes) ski resorts.

New to the rental market following renovations, the interior is bright and filled with natural light, offering an open concept with sliders that walk out to an expansive deck and cozy screened porch; perfect for gathering the family. During the warmer months, enjoy a game out on the large lawn or s'mores under the stars around the campfire. In Vermont winters, the newly installed natural river rock fireplace is the ideal spot to enjoy a warm fire indoors.

Main Level

The heart of the home features a Great Room, including a kitchen outfitted with granite counters, a walk-in pantry and a large kitchen island. The kitchen is equipped with prep and serve items, dishwasher, Keurig coffee machine (K-Cups provided), toaster, microwave, oven, range, refrigerator/freezer and more.

The Great Room also includes a large dining table, a gorgeous natural river rock gas fireplace, a billiards/pool table, a large TV with expanded cable, an oversized sectional sofa and leather chairs. A truly wonderful room to gather with family and friends.

The Great Room sliding glass doors open to an oversized deck, facing towards the lake. The summer patio table and deck is a particularly relaxing spot to enjoy partial lake views and the stars.

Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms are privately sectioned off from the Great Room. One king-sized bedroom features a cedar-lined wood lofted ceiling and direct access to a screened-in porch, both with lake views. One queen bedroom features ship lap detail, a cedar-lined wood ceiling and quintessential Vermont wall decor. The bunk bed room offers two matching sets of twin bunk beds plus two trundles, accommodating six.

En Suite Level

The third level of the home is where the large en suite king bedroom and bath are located, totaling 600 SF, and featuring a herringbone patterned wood accent wall. Escape the hustle and bustle of the lower 2 floors and retreat to your own private level, including a separate outdoor balcony perched among the trees.

Walk-In Level

The walk-in entry floor, adjacent to the 2-car garage, features a large mud room with plenty of space for boots and skis, one queen bedroom, one bathroom with a shower, and a large game room with both ping-pong and a large TV with expanded cable. This large entertaining area is an ideal set up separated from the main living level.

Home Specifications

Two bedrooms are furnished with King beds (Tempur-Pedic mattresses). Two bedrooms have Queen beds. One additional bedroom has two sets of matching Twin bunk beds, with trundles, totaling six Twin beds.

Bathrooms include one full bath with a shower/tub and three baths with a shower.

There are multiple Smart TVs throughout the home, as well as Comcast Xfinity cable TV providing access to over 205+ channels in both the main level living area and walk-in level game room. High-speed internet (800 Mbps) is accessible throughout the home.

The house can very comfortably sleep 10 persons, however we do limit occupancy to keep the house in excellent condition for future guests.

There is a full-size washer and dryer on the main level.

Lake Rescue

Lake Rescue is a beautiful, typically quiet and peaceful lake. It is approximately 1 mile long in the shape of a “figure 8”. Our home is located at the southwest corner of the lake. Although power boats and water skiing are permitted, kayaks and fishermen predominate.

Sandy bottom lake access at the dock via the shared easement is located directly across from the lot only steps away from the home. It’s quick and simple to launch from the home one of our many kayaks (adult, tandem and youth) as well as adult and youth paddle boards made available for your enjoyment. The water is shallow and safe for children to wade. The lake is also stocked with an abundance of fish, including perch, bass, and trout, so bring along your fishing rod.

Surrounding Area

The nearby town of Ludlow contains many fine restaurants and shops, while nearby Chester is known for its fine antique stores. Weston, only a 15-minute drive, is home to the famous Vermont Country Store and Weston Playhouse and also the beautiful Weston Priory. Also nearby are the towns of Manchester, well known for its many designer factory outlets and Woodstock, ideal for picture post-card beauty and typical New England charm.

Okemo has many summer activities as well, including a beautiful 18-hole Fox Run Golf course, mountain biking, outdoor concerts, a “mountain coaster”, zip lines, a climbing wall, and miniature golf.

In the fall, the foliage is spectacular. It is also a great place to enjoy a hike in the surrounding woods or antiquing in neighboring towns.

In winter, the house is ideal for outdoor activities as well as expanded lake views. The house is just over 2.5 miles from Okemo and only 13.5 miles from Killington’s Skyeship Base.

Nearby Okemo Valley Cross Country Ski Center has extensive groomed trails and when conditions are right, cross country skiing or ice skating on Lake Rescue is wonderful.

Snowmobilers can utilize the lakes and the nearby access to all the interconnecting trails (VAST) that Vermont offers.

Enjoy your stay!

Excellent Ski Vacation
This property was perfect for two families and our ski trip. It was spaceaous for the adults and kids to spread out, it was super clean, comfortable and close to both bases at Okemo. Brynne and Paul was very accommodating and responsive. Even the unexpected snow didnt get in the way of making sure we were taken care of! Highly recommend this beautiful home!

Great place to stay
Wonderful home for a big family. Had a great time skiing at Okemo (with Jackson Gore only 2 miles away). The whole family enjoyed plenty of room and playing pool & ping pong. We'd love to come back next year. -Norm Sousa
