Our family had a lovely stay at The Gathering Place! The pool area was a great place to relax in the sun and those who wanted to stay out of the sun could stay shaded under the covered porch. Cozy rooms, quiet and relaxing setting, and a family friendly space.

The Gathering Place was beautiful, clean, and spacious. My family had a great time together at this location. Our visit to the historic Ohio Reformatory was fun! Jesse, our host, was helpful and quick to respond. Highly recommend staying here for your next get together!

We had a mini family vacation at this house. Pool was nice. Lots of space for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. We loved the outdoor fire area. Rooms were clean and neat. Host responded to all my questions in a reasonable time frame.

We held our annual girls trip here this year. There were 13 ladies in our 50’s-60’s. We had a great time. There was plenty of comfortable beds, lots of space, the great room was gorgeous, all the decor was beautiful, the pool area was our main hang out. We loved the heated pool, the hot tub and covered pavilion. We really liked all the parking and the large dumpster so trash didn’t pile up. Highly recommend renting this house for your group.

Great place! Very large Excellent and super clean hot tub ! Cool fireplace outside. Lots of seating inside and outside. Lots of nice beds that sleep a lot of people. 4 full baths and one 1/2 bath!!!!Beautiful area. We had a fantastic time and want to come back when the pool is open!!!! Wish we could have stayed longer and experienced all the other things this House has to offer!!

House and Pool were great

The house and pool were very nice. Beds were comfortable. There's not necessarily a whole lot to do in the area, but we we there to spend time together and not go separate ways so it worked well for us.

I am glad you enjoyed the property. I wish you would have reached out during your stay for ideas of things to do in the area. Downtown Masfield has some great restaurants and Columbus is only an hour away. For your next stay here are some other ideas as well. This beautiful country property is located in an area of 2 – 20 acre lots on rolling hills and the sunsets are amazing. The star gazing is very clear as the skys are darker here and the home is located in open land as it was once part of the farm just over the hill. Just down the hill 1.4 miles is Clear Fork Reservoir with hiking and boat rental. The Ohio Bird Sanctuary is 1.6 miles away and Apple Hill Orchards is less then a mile away and open 7 days a week- hint: don’t miss their fresh donuts every morning and cider. They also have snacks, fresh meats and cheeses and is a local favorite. 15 minutes away you can also visit the Mansfield “Ohio State Reformatory” for a tour which is the site of where the movie Shawshank Redemption was filmed. Things to do nearby: • Clear Fork Reservoir 1.4 Miles- fishing, boating (no HP limit), 997 acres, you can rent boats at the marina, there are hiking trails and three public picnic areas • Ohio Bird Sanctuary- 1.6 miles- a great facility to visit, with nice trails and you are always able to see some great birds in Ohio getting taken care off hawks, cardinals, owls and an occasional eagle. Cost is reasonable at $2-$3 depending on age • Apple Hill Orchard- 1 mile away- fresh donuts, lunch meats, cheese, beef, chicken and fresh apples and cider a local favorite • Mid-Ohio Sports Car Racing Track- a nice track with different racing events and driving school - ten minutes away • Twin lakes Golf Club- 5 minutes away- 18 holes and open to public • Lakewood Tennis Club- ten minutes away- rent a court, open play, tennis and pickleball. Organized play that you can just show up to • Mansfield Ohio State Reformatory- 15 minutes away the night tour is amazing • Snow Trails Ski Resort- 18 minutes away- great ski resort • Mohican State Park- 23 miles away- canoeing, fishing, hiking • Kingwood Center Gardens- ten minutes away- 47 acres of gardens with daily tours Restaurants and shopping: • Steve’s Dakota Grill – 2 miles- great steaks house to visit or order food to go • Papa Gondola- 2 miles- excellent Italian. Not much to look at but old family recipes are delicious. We order to go all the time and are never disappointed.

Nice Getaway!

Sisters Motorcycle Retreat

Very peaceful we love the Property..the space accommodated all my sisters..Jesse was very quick to respond to questions..the weather didnt allow us to enjoy the pool it rained other than that everything else was good.
