Awesome little house close to everything… but not too close.
We stayed at this property in July, 2023. Overall, a very positive experience with a great location, many conveniences and a terrific host.
Positives
Nice big property with a cute bridge and fire pit out back. Big multi-level deck for sitting when the humidity isn’t 95%.
Bedrooms are nicely set up with large closets and comfortable beds. All bedrooms, kitchen, living room and dining room are all on the main level. No reason to go to the lower level unless doing laundry. Lots of towels.
Within the Franklin city limits so lots of shopping, restaurants, etc. close by. Very close to I-65.
Kitchen was nicely set up with all the utensils needed to prep your own food. Just bring the food and you’ll be all set. Host provided a nice selection of coffees and teas to get you started.
Great communications and information and very simple check-out instructions.
Negatives
Not disabled friendly. Interior and exterior stairs can be a bit challenging for older folks.
Bit of a musty smell, but being a little bit of an older home, not completely unexpected and the host was running a dehumidifier in the lower level to keep the humidity low. The A/C unit worked great.
Very busy (McEwan) road next to a blind curve so left hand turns out of the driveway are not recommended. The host did warn us of this before we arrived.
Summary
Wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this location next time we’re in town. It really was a terrific place to stay and the price was reasonable for what we needed.
