The River Retreat

This charming two bedroom, two bath home has been completely remodeled and is comfortably furnished. You will feel the subtle nod to nature throughout with the colors & textures found within the home. The modernized kitchen opens to the Family Room with its picturesque views of the River. Every corner of this home has been prepared for your comfort and relaxation. Whether you're kicking back in the living room enjoying a movie on the large screen TV or sitting in the family room with a good book or playing a game, you will undoubtedly find yourself unwinding and relaxing in our home.

The house will comfortably sleep six, with the sleeper sofa in the Family Room. Each room has been prepared with comfortable mattresses and cozy bedding. The master en suite has a large screen TV to entertain you if your adventures from the day left you wanting to crawl in bed and close out the day.

Although free WiFi is included, this home provides a much needed retreat. Feel free to ‘check out’ when you check-in. We have provided some classic games, a few puzzles and most importantly given you spaces to enjoy the outdoors. The back porch is fully screened and a lovely place to escape anytime of the year. The fire pit area is a special place to make memories with family and friends. Or hang up our provided hammock & just take a nap.

Enjoy your morning cup of coffee or your evening glass of wine on the dock, as the River flows along. Cypress trees and Florida Maple trees line the river and unfold beautiful colors through the fall season. The view from the dock is a state preserve & continues to surprise us with sights & sounds of nature throughout the year. We have seen hawks, woodpeckers, owls, deer, wild boar and the occasional gator across the river on the bank.

We also provide the use of our kayaks, paddles & life preservers that can be launched directly from our dock.

We are less than 20 minutes from Rainbow Springs & 30 minutes from Crystal River.

It is only a short 30 minute drive to the World Equestrian Center and 40 minutes to the HITS Post Time Farm.

There are many State and local parks in the area, Including the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway trail and the K.P. Hole State Park which is 15 minutes away.

There are also number of off road vehicle trails within the area, including Hard Rock Ocala to the North and the Citrus Wildlife Management Area to the South. Both less than an hour away.

There is a Nest Doorbell located at the front door, facing the driveway.
