From the first contact with Trista, she was the most amazing host. She supplied SO much information about the area and things that interested us. The property was wonderful with every detail you could think of taken care of. Beds are comfortable (always a concern) and property clean. We had rain twice during our stay, but it didn't dampen our fun while there. We loved the covered porch area and ate our meals there. I highly recommend a stay there - you are made to feel like the most welcomed guest.

Awesome View

Beautiful home with a gorgeous view of the mountains. Very clean and spacious with nice sized rooms to spread out. Privacy when traveling with friends as bedrooms were separated with family room and kitchen in between. Would definitely stay here again.

Welcome! We are absolutely thrilled that you are here! We know that you will have a wonderful stay and fabulous time in the beautiful town of Highlands! As avid travelers ourselves, we have stocked the place with all the essentials you will need for a comfortable stay.
I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (GO STEELERS!) then moved to Atlanta, Georgia after college and have been here ever since.
My husband got into beekeeping back in 2016 because he loves the taste of honey and he loves tackling new adventures. We have many hives at our home in Georgia and he enjoys the beekeeping hobby. We harvest the honey each year and offer it to our friends and family: 3 Sweet Bees Honey.
Currently, I am home raising our three children and managing Honey Bee Hideaway.
I used to be a semi-professional baker and I had a home-based bakery: Sugar and Spice Sweets. I still enjoy baking and cooking and so do my girls! We also love camping and hiking as a family. Waterfall hikes are our very favorite, we haven't seen a waterfall in North Carolina that we didn't fall in love with!
North Carolina is one of our very favorite places to travel to. There are cities, beaches, waterfalls, and mountains all in one state! It's just the best of it all!
I love hosting people in our sweet Honey Bee Hideaway! I just love to connect with and meet new people, even if it's only virtually. I love to help people have a great time and explore the world. That's why I became a host!
