Nantahala River front cabin adjoining National Forest
If you’re looking for a unique experience, this is it! The adventure lover’s dream and such a magical place! This is a very unique and charming property It sits on over 3 acres overlooking the river and has about 300’ of river frontage. Plus, the view is gorgeous overlooking mountains. It also backs up to National Forest! After a day of adventure, cozy up by the gas push button fireplace or relax on the covered deck overlooking the river.
Pictures don’t do the cabin justice. The cabin is completely made out of recycled wood from old properties. It’s all in the details from the farm sink to the push button gas fireplace... you can’t ask for a better location and cabin. Plus there’s privacy galore since you’re on 3 acres and back up to forest. And over 3,000 feet elevation. Note there is no cell service here. We do have WiFi. With WiFi calling turned on, you’re able to make cell calls through the WiFi and send and receive texts.
You do have to cross a river on a paved road or low water bridge that is usually 6” to 1 ft deep so a crossover, jeep, suv, or truck is needed. A small car will not be adequate.
The master is located downstairs with a queen bed. The upstairs bedroom is a lkft style. It has three single beds and two double beds to sleep a total of 9 people. The master bath has a shower and the guest bath has a bathtub. Floating is fun if you tie a rope to a tree and just sit in the river in a tube. I recomend water shoes as the river rock can be rough on the feet. Its also fun to bring side by sides, motorcycles, and 4 wheelers to ride the roads inside the neighborhood.

The home was perfectly decorated and so cozy as a truly rustic old fashioned real cabin… with elegance and simplicity… our family loved it. From all the antiques to the cool flowing waters of the Nantahala just down the hill, it was an experience we will never forget. We would definitely stay again!
If you like nature and an out-of-the-way place to stay, this is for you. Beautiful river outback You can fish or just enjoy the sounds of the river and the wildlife
The host Samantha was great, super quick to respond to any issue. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. Will visit again!
We had a girl group that stayed for 6 nights. We loved the view and the river. There was a lovely little fairy glen on the river that was absolutely wonderful. The porches were a great place for sitting any time. We enjoyed trips to Jackrabbit Mountain, Lake Chatuge, Wayah Bald, Rufus Morgan Falls and some other locations. It was a wonderful trip. The cabin has everything that you need.
This beautiful cabin offers serenity and luxury deep in a forest . I have already shared it with a friend ! We will def be back in the fall ! We love how remote it us ! The decor is superb !
We wanted a relaxing and peaceful few days away from home, and we were not disappointed! The cabin was clean and cozy and in a private, beautiful area. The owner was super quick to reply to all of my questions. An overall great time!
We loved everything about our stay. The cabin is truly beautiful. We didn't want to leave. The location is secluded and quiet with a great view of the river. We can't wait to come back. If your looking for a peaceful spot in nature to enjoy quality time with your loved ones then this is your cabin.
Cabin and property are beautiful and well cared for. View overlooking the river is great. Thousands of acres of National Forest literally out the back door. Very relaxing and peaceful spot. Host was extremely helpful as well.
Cabin was really nice! Pictures don’t do it justice. In the description, it says that you need a truck or SUV to reach property… you definitely need a truck or a lifted vehicle Bc you have to cross a river. Other than that, we loved it!
Very peaceful cabin! Loved everything but the large river crossing, but I'm sure that's mountain life, it is different for me.
I would recommend this cabin to others.
Secluded and quiet. Samantha made everything easy! You will need to take it slow across the river but if you're looking for an adventure, this is your place! House is beautiful and has everything you need.
