3 day stay

Check in with the lockbox was easy! John had thoughtfully placed snacks and wine in the casita. Quiet neighborhood near the Plaza, with a nice little deck and table for our use in the back.

Our Casita was very clean. We wish there were enough towels for two, robes for two, coffee and creamer selections, the bathroom was very tight, and we were taken aback that the guest host was having a party the night we arrived. We received an early morning text on the day we were to leave asking if we were going to leave early so they could get housekeeping in. We felt rushed.

Great overall experience

It's a very nice casita that is conveniently located. It was quite ideal for my little family that includes two well behaved dogs. I found the owner to be lovely and approachable though definitely without overdoing it like many do. Great stay, will be back for sure.

Cute quaint cozy casita for nesting in woods

This was a darling little casita in the mountains but just a short drive to Canyon Rd & the Plaza. We had a lovely bottle of wine & chips & Green Chili Salsa waiting for us & warm pastries one morning. We were looking forward to trying the sauna, but it wasn’t available. We had our little 15 lb. dog with us & she loved it too, going for walks in the beautiful mountains. We however didn’t realize there would be an extra fee added on at the end of our stay for a pet. We would have rather known & paid for that up front so that we can budget our trip better! We were overall very pleased with our host, John and his lovely casita!

The perfect home base while exploring Santa Fe

John’s casita was perfect for our vacation to Santa Fe. We traveled with our two dogs and had plenty of room. The bathroom and kitchen areas were both spacious along with the living area. John provided snacks and pastries for us - such a thoughtful and kind touch! The neighborhood was beautiful and we felt very safe. It is close to the Plaza and easy to head out to the mountains.

Santa Fe Get-a-way

This little casita had all we could desire and more. The space was adequate and we loved that we could bring our pups with us. Thoughtful touches surprised us all weekend long. It was nice to be close to town yet just far enough away to enjoy the quite solitude in the trees. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your lovely property. Would highly recommend!

Tranquil Getaway, Terrific Host!!

What a wonderful peaceful setting John’s.casita is! Nestled in a beautiful neighborhood full of walking opportunities, gorgeous views, dark skies with trillions of stars…anxiety literally drips off of you. Casita was spotless and had all the amenities one would need. Great private deck with bbq-was just a wee bit too chilly to try the bbq but could imagine a great meal out there when warmer! John was a super host and from the minute meeting him you know he is a good soul and kind man. Altitude hit me harder than normal so we spent more time at the casita than planned-being in this beautiful setting made up for that!

Ideal property!

I really can't say enough nice things about this property! The location is in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood about 10 minutes from the Plaza. The property was extremely clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. A question was answered within minutes. A handy book of instructions and things to know was available as well as brochures for area attractions. There were snacks-a very nice touch-and wine as well. I highly recommend this property!

We had a fabulous stay…every accoutrement was considered. The neighborhood was silent and beautiful, except for the snow, robins and finches! We were treated to surprise foods as well. John even gave my dog Teddy salmon treats! 100 stars!

Great experience

I had a wonderful experience, and I would definitely stay here again. The location is in one of my favorite places in Santa Fe- It feels both secluded and is close to everything. The casita itself is very well done. Moreover, the thoughtfulness and care that the hosts put into this rental is truly exceptional. Everything from providing chips and salsa, both an espresso and a coffee machine, baked goods in the morning, and a later checkout due to luck in scheduling- this is an unparalleled level of hospitality. Thank you very much, John and Mimi.

Truly outstanding

The most thoughtfully and tastefully put together of any place I have rented through a vacation booking service. A lovely place to sit outdoors in the woods, listening to and watching birds, as well as comfort inside. Bed, kitchen, bath all excellent and well furnished. Beautiful artwork. Introduction to some local food and drink brands a pleasure. Heavily wooded and beautiful neighborhood where one can smell the trees and breezes with (screened) open windows. A lot of attention to health and restfulness in how the place is furnished. Fully supported by the host in all ways. Couldn't have asked for more -- this place offers a truly outstanding experience. Hope to be able to stay there again when I return to Santa Fe.

Nice neighborhood

The casida was clean and comfortable. The only reason I gave it a 4 was the shower. Not enough warm water for even one person. You have to turn it off and on during your wash. Also the laundry was not very accessible. We never found where to turn the light on in the garage and the machine was full of personal items. They require you to was at night.

We loved everything about our stay! Perfect for a couple. Kitchen was a great size for the space.Location was pretty important to us and our little casita was about 10 minutes to the plaza. We were able to use the hot tub for a small additional fee and this was a great way to unwind at the end of a day of hiking or shopping. We would definitely stay here again.
