Old, rustic, simple 2-family house "Lauberhaus", 2 storeys. In the district of Oberdorf 800 m from the centre of Zermatt, in a quiet position, south facing position. In the house: central heating system. Supermarket 650 m, restaurant 200 m, bar 250 m, bakery 400 m, 10 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Matterhorn Glacier Paradise" 450 m, railway station "Bahnhof Zermatt" 800 m. Mountain railway 500 m, ski rental 500 m, ski bus stop, ski school 450 m, children's ski school. Please note: no lift. The keys‘ handover takes place by the agency Interhome in Zermatt.
3-room apartment 65 m2, on the top floor. Partly with sloping ceilings, very simple furnishings: living/dining room, ceiling height 150 - 180 cm with dining table, TV, hi-fi system and DVD. Exit to the balcony, south facing position. 2 small double bedrooms with sloping ceilings, each room with 2 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). Kitchen (3 hot plates, oven, toaster, kettle, freezer, electric coffee machine, raclette grill, fondue Set (cheese)) with dining table. Shower/WC. Balcony, south facing position. Balcony furniture. Beautiful view of Matterhorn. Facilities: hair dryer. Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only. WC is next to the apartment door on the private floor, not in the apartment.

adorable place

super fun place, definitely not for tall people! The bedroom ceilings and doors are very short. This place was incredibly cute and well supplied. It even had umbrellas that we needed during a rainstorm! Great atmosphere, great location, and easy to get the keys.

Enchanted hobbit cave

Great location, authentic attic of old house, very quiet and comfortable in spite of low ceilings, head bashing doorways and bathroom in hallway outside of suite. Very friendly hosts. Those who will love this will be very happy. Those who seek our modern characterless condo will not.

The view is excellent and not too far from the ski lift. However, apartment came with basically no salt, pepper, or oil or butter to cook with. No instructions regarding where to get more garbage bags were given until I got in touch (it took over a day to respond to us). There were not enough dishwasher tablets for our stay (2 short). No shower gel or shampoo was provided either. And only 1 roll of toilet paper for 3 people for a week. So overall nice apartment with low ceilings and not super private because a curtain separated you from the lower level.

Dream apartment in Zermatt. With caveats.

Wonderful 200 years old building in prime Zermatt location—close to town square, downtown, and chairlifts—yet quiet at night. Good balcony with gorgeous view of the Matterhorn. Good layout with good living space and kitchen. Onsite owner was a charm. However... Low ceilings and doorways. Each of us cracked our heads pretty hard at least once with several more less serious encounters. We’re 5’11” and 5’7”—if you’re tall be forewarned. Hot water can be dangerously scalding hot, so be careful. Separate locks for outside and apartment entry. In case of emergency, you could easily find yourself locked inside the building. But we made a plan and hopefully it would’ve worked. All in all, if you’ve ever wanted to visit Zermatt and live like a local, then consider Apartment Lauberhouse.

Wir mögen kleine, gemütliche und originelle Ferienwohnungen, daher also auch diese. Alles im original 70er Jahre Look, Küche aber neu. Man muss aber sagen: nix für Leute, die über 180 gross sind. Deckenhöhe und Türhöhen um 150 cm sind echt gefährlich, man holt sich Beulen. Die Treppen hoch sind eher Leitern. Und für 4 echt ein bisschen klein. Wie gesagt, muss man mögen. Die Aussicht ist aber toll! Die Lage auch.

Einfache, aber charmante und gut ausgestattete Wohnung

Eine sehr gemütliche, charmante und gut ausgestattete Wohnung. Die Lage ist für Zermatt top, fußläufig erreichbar sowohl die Talstation Glacier paradise als auch die Geschäfte in der Bahnhofsstraße. Für Menschen größer als 1,90 könnten die niedrigen Decken insbesondere in den Schlafzimmern allerdings anstrengend sein... Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Aus meiner Sicht eine sehr gute Lage der Wohnung in der Nähe der Bergbahn und der Geschäfte. Alles fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Wohnung ist sehr zweckmäßig ausgestattet und hat einen tollen Blick aufs Matterhorn. Ist aber aus meiner Sicht für den Preis zu klein, zu alt mit zu niedrigen Deckenhöhen und Türen. Permanent gebückte Haltung notwendig und Kopfstoßen nicht vermeidbar. Sehr schmale unsere steile Treppen. Ich denke woanders bekommt man mehr fürs Geld. Aber vielleicht muss das in Zermatt

Die Wohnung ist infolge des Treppenzuganges und Stufen innerhalb der Wohnung für Senioren nicht geeignet. Küchenmobiliar (Ausnahme Grossgeräte) haben den Brockenstuben Charme . Ersatz ist empfohlen.

Die Fewo versprüht historischen Charme, ist ganz aus Holz, mit schönen antiken Möbeln und sehr gutem, modernem Küchengerät. Den Preis der Fewo fanden wir sehr teuer, aber für Zermatter Verhältnisse noch im Rahmen. Allein der Balkonblick auf das Matterhorn war schon den Urlaub wert!

Traditionelles Haus in guter Wohnlage

Man wohnt in einem noch etwas urspruenglichen Teil von Zermatt, wir waren damit sehr zufrieden. Die Sicht auf das Matterhorn ist atemberaubend. Ausserdem blickt man von der Wohnung aus ueber das ganze Dorf.

nicht für Leute mit Behinderung!

-Aufstieg zur Wohnung sehr mühsam ( mein Mann ist nach einem Schlaganfall halbseitig gelähmt) -zu NIEDRIG und dunkel in den Schlafräume! -Küche hat keinen Abzug während des Kochens -Kaffeetapmaschine tat nicht -in Dusche und Waschbecken floss das Wasser nicht schnell genug ab und wir hatten keinen Besen gehabt zum Fegen und reinigen. Für junge, sportliche und sehr kleine Leute eher was aber nicht mehr für uns. - das positive war die Aussicht.

Danke für Ihr Feedback. All die erwähnten Mängel wurden behoben, die Kaffeemaschine funktioniert und der Abfluss wurde gereinigt. Vor Ort hilft auch gerne das lokale Team, sollte etwas nicht Ihren Wünschen entsprechen.

My wife and I loved it

It is very warm and the decor may not be to everybody's taste but it is typical Swiss. It will remind you how it could have been back in the days when climbers and skiers used leather boots. The kitchen fittings are very modern though. We loved it. Not for families with babies or less than 12 year olds.
