Simple apartment house "Select", 4 storeys. In the district of Winkelmatten 1.1 km from the centre of Zermatt, in a quiet, sunny position, south facing position. In the house: lift, storage room for skis, central heating system. Stepped path (98 steps) to the house. Grocery 500 m, supermarket 900 m, restaurant 400 m, bakery 500 m, 15 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Luchre" 100 m, railway station "Bahnhof Zermatt" 1.1 km. Mountain railway 650 m, ski rental 650 m, ski bus stop 100 m, ski school, children's ski school 850 m. Cabs cannot stop right in front of the house. The keys‘ handover takes place by the agency Interhome in Zermatt.
1-room apartment 35 m2 on 2nd floor, south facing position. Bright, simple and cosy furnishings: living/sleeping room with 1 sofabed (90 cm, length 200 cm), 1 double bed (160 cm, length 200 cm), dining table and TV. Exit to the balcony. Open kitchen (oven, 4 ceramic glass hob hotplates, toaster, kettle, freezer, electric coffee machine, raclette grill, fondue Set (cheese)). Bath/WC. Balcony 7 m2, south facing position. Balcony furniture. Beautiful view of Matterhorn. Facilities: hair dryer. Please note: non-smokers only. No WIFI.

Tranquilo y con vistas espectaculares.

El apartamento está muy bien, le pondría como cosas a mejorar que no tiene suficiente luz en el baño y un microondas en la cocina no estaría mal, por lo demás, unas vistas espectaculares del Matterhorn y la ubicación, aunque un poco alejado con el E-BUS (gratuito) en 5 minutos desde el centro estas a 30 metros de la puerta.

Personal vor Ort sehr behilflich, und freundlich, top. Lage der Unterkunft mit Bus erreichbar, dann noch ca 150 Meter zu Fuß entweder waagrecht oder von unten über einige Treppen. Es ist sauber, einfach und praktikabel ausgestattet, dem Preis aber entsprechend. Der Blick auf das Matterhorn vom Balkon her ist aber unglaublich. Für ein Männertrip wie unseren genau richtig.

Sauber, modern und gut ausgestattet (keine Mikrowelle), grösser als auf den Bildern, mit Balkonblick auf Matterhorn. Perfekt für ein paar Tage mit Familie. Gut zu wissen (keine Kritik): Wohnung ist ca. 20 Minuten Gehweg vom Bahnhof entfernt, direkteste Route mit vielen steilen Treppen, heisst mit viel Gepäck, besonders mit Koffern besser ein Taxi zu nehmen (ca. 35 CHF)

Leider hat es mit der Reinigung nicht so richtig geklappt. Ausgelaufene Lebensmittel im Kühlschrank und auch das Bad war nicht sauber. Keine Handseife im Bad und kein Abfalleimer - eigentlich standard... Ausserdem wäre es angebracht nicht die günstigste Qualität zu verbauen. Fehrienwohnungen werden stark beansprucht, da ist es nicht überraschend, wenn billig Schränke rasch kaputt sind... Wäre schön funktioinierende Schubladen etc. vorzufinden.

Spectacular views

In general this was a great place to stay. I felt that the additional charges were high given that bedding and towels were an additional charge which could not be refused. Also the charge for cleaning is high when we had to do dishes and remove garbage. It also had no wifi and no access to the building laundry facility. Otherwise it was a well fitted out kitchen and a comfortable bed with a spectacular view of the Matterhorn. It was in a quiet area but close to the town for groceries etc

Bitte beachten Sie, dass es ein Schlafsofa ist und die Matratze somit integriert ist. Die Bettwäsche wurde jedoch ausgetauscht. Wir bedanken uns für die Verbesserungsvorschläge und das Feedback.

Average apartment, lack of attention to detail and not very clean

Be warned there is a significant extra cost for bed linen and cleaning on the apartment, about 120CHF. The apartment itself wasn’t especially clean, used plasters found on side, crumbs in the cupboards and cutlery and plates needed washing up on arrival as dirty from previous guests. (which should be checked by cleaners) The bed wasn’t very comfy, the pillow was very thin and the spare pillows had blood on them with no extra pillow cases provided (despite 60CHF for our bed sheets and a towel each). The sofa cushions also had stains on them. The apartment has no WiFi which is odd for the modern world and the plug sockets in the bathroom don’t work. Apartment got 2 star for the amazing view of the Matterhorn, especially as we were so lucky with the clear skies each day, but for the price this needs a little more attention to detail and some justification on the cleaning costs as it really isn’t that clean. I would imagine there is better value for money than this apartment which is probably marked up on price based on location.

Great studio for a skiing couple

This studio had everything we needed for a week of skiing in Zermatt. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bed comfortable, and the view from the balcony stunning - looking straight to the Matterhorn. The apartment was conveniently located just next to a bus stop, giving easy access to the ski area, and was a short (~10 min) walk from the center of town. Our only complaint was the lack of wifi in the apartment - with that, it would have been perfect!

Beautiful view of the Matterhorn

Enjoyed our stay in this well placed property. Clean and simple . Located in a quite neighborhood just a few steps from downtown. Wife and I enjoyed several meals on the deck facing the mountain. Would highly recommend. Hope to return ourselves one day.
