Another Fabulous Rockaway Vaca
Third year, third great experience. Humble yet majestic. Can't access beach from backyard, but access is just past two houses down. Every year homeowner makes improvements... much appreciated! Super comfortable. Plenty of towels, silverware and dishes, oven works great, everything shipshape!

Great location
We love the location to the beach. Out the back door and there it is. That’s why we rent this location. I could list the short comings but instead I focus on the positives. And that the view, and sound. It’s great location and the purchase a new couch, resided it, new winds and trim.

Charming Cottage with Fantastic Location
We enjoyed our stay at this charming cottage. It is right on the beach; the view, roar of the waves, sea life was incredible. The cottage itself is quite old and has several knicks, bumps, and bruises. I would suggest to anyone staying here to take pictures of any damage you see right when you get there to document and send right away to vacasa or the owner; just to CYA. We did have a few issues with the lock pad, as it was not working properly but vacasa was very helpful. The only other 2 things is that the washed towels had hair on them and that was a bit unfortunate AND the beds are very old and lumpy. If I stayed here again, I might bring an air mattress as that might be a tad more comfortable. HOWEVER, would I stay here again? ABSOLUTELY. It was so relaxing, quaint, the location was spot on, and the owner was very kind and responsive.

Great little getaway!
We rented this little house during the atmospheric rain storm, and let me tell you, it was built to last. We could hardly hear the wind or rain as it is very insulated. There wasn’t even a draft coming through any of the doors or windows as they were newer. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were ok. Kitchen is stocked, but is very basic. Stove works great. Make sure to take your own food storage containers or baggies for any leftovers you may want to keep are there wasn’t any. Fridge/freezer work great and it has a working ice maker!! The view is spectacular. Watching the storm from the big windows was amazing. There is about a 10’ rock wall you would have to climb down to get to the beach or you can walk a very short distance to a better path down to the water. My 70 year old mother in law was able to get up and down it with a like help. I’d rent this house again in a heartbeat. Some things to think about: bring an extra blanket or two if you get chilly. The heat works well, but there was a chill in the air and there isn’t any extra blankets to wrap around your shoulders. Bring beach towels as there aren’t any. We brought our small dog and ended up buying a few cheap towels from the Dollar General to help wipe his paws clean and dry after walks. I didn’t want to dirty their white towels. If you’re planning on coming, make sure to bring your pantry items, like seasonings and oil (we always pack stuff just to be prepared). The house didn’t have much on hand. The couch is old and not very comfortable. But we made it work. The WiFi was very spotty, so if you’re expecting to work, don’t count on a strong signal (didn’t bother me, I brought books to read). Last, bring shampoo and conditioner if you’re staying longer than a few days. They did supply mini bottles and a small bar of soap. Again, I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. It was the perfect little house for the price.
