Complete with a baby grand piano and the beach nearby, everyone in your group will be able to find great ways to enjoy their vacation at Sea Mist, a Rockaway Beach oceanfront home. You'll enjoy the large open kitchen, living room, and dining area with lots of windows and a fireplace. This beach property has been owned by the same family for nearly forty years. This is the kind of place that your family will want to visit and return to over and over again. Wake up to the quiet serene sounds of only the waves, tucked away at the end of the street.

Come home from hiking local trails or after a day relaxing on the beach to the fully equipped kitchen for the chef of your group to prepare dinner. The whole group can dine with the views and serene sounds of Nedonna Beach. Before stepping into the home, you can warm up with the hot water of the outdoor shower with two shower heads, one for adults and a lower one for children or your sandy toes!

There are two bedrooms and a bunk bed with a central bathroom for lots of room and comfort. There is also a smart TV and stereo system in the living area. This is a classic beach house where you can let your hair down, relax, and spend time walking on the beach, exploring, having a beach bonfire, or sitting on the deck and dreaming. The internet in this home is high-speed and reliable for a tranquil environment while working from home.

The location is great. You can't get any better with the beach just steps away. Unfortunately having the shower head fall on my head and dealing with a very unclean house when we arrived including sand in the refrigerator took away from the trip.

Very quiet, soft bed, fall hazard just inside door (sloped/uneven floor with wrinkled very worn and ripped carpet), cracked/mildewed caulk in shower, mildewed window, piano out of tune, well-stocked kitchen, quite damaged coffee table, beach view only for tall folks standing up and squinting down the path between the dunes. Sign on microwave directs to missing users manual. Huge fireplace logs but zero kindling.

Nice Place

The house is nice, a bit dated and worn but it’s nice for a weekend stay at the Coast. Enjoyed how close we were to the beach and could hear the ocean.

had a wonderful and memorable stay for our annual beach solstice celebration. The house was great and spacious, the view and location Amazing. Having the piano was such a nice bonus! Beds were super comfortable. Def would recommend.

Comfy, well-worn home with ocean view and baby grand!

We felt very comfortable in this clearly much-loved oceanfront home. We found everything we needed, and then some. Especially appreciated the comfortable King bed. The white baby grand in the Great Room under a chandelier made me wish I knew how to play.

Great home for wave watching!

Spent half the time outside on the dune’s edge watching the waves and the other half walking the beach. The entrance was just a short distance from the home so we were able to run back up as needed. House was as advertised. We didn’t bring a dog but our socks became covered with dog hair/dander but to be expected a bit from a dog friendly home.

Fun time

The house was wonderful. Beautiful view of the waves from back yard and from house and so quiet and peaceful. Would recommend it to everyone. Sound of waves was so soothing. Very short walk across backyard to ocean overlook. About 8 foot drop to beach itself. Best part was standing there with my grown son and watching the waves, when seagull flew over and pooped on his head. Laughed so hard. Thank you for that.

Have stayed there for over 30 years and if I can't stay there "I ain't goin"....Location is great... easy beach access and you can enjoy the beauty of the ocean while sitting at the dining table..Walks to the jetty are a must and with a really low tide you can see lots of starfish, sea anemones & little crabs etc....The outside doesn't look too inviting but the inside is most comfy with everything there that a person would need... just bring your food and clothing !!! nice deck to enjoy too... Like going home to me !!! If you like beach front and comfort you'll love it !!!

Amazing location

We came with family for an escape during COVID and could not have been happier with the experience. The house is well-laid out with an open kitchen and dining area and living room, perfect for relaxing and socializing with the family, and with large windows facing the back. There is sand right out the back door, so the kids had fun playing with their toys there while we sat on the deck. The beach is just a short pathway away, and so private -- we only saw a handful of other people the whole time we were there, and many times had the whole beach to ourselves! It was amazing, and a nice stretch of beach with soft sand, perfect for kids to play in. It was fantastic to have a heated outdoor shower/ sand-washing station right outside! The house itself was cozy and the beds were very comfy. The kitchen was well-equipped with every utensil and appliance a person could need. There was plenty of comfortable seating in the living room. The house was very private, at the end of a quiet street, and the only people we saw were some other renters next door. We loved the peace and quiet, the location, feeling like we almost had our own private beach -- we had a great time here and will definitely be back!

friends getaway weekend

Stayed here as a group of 5 friends, ladies' weekend away. This property is a great combo of location and interior space. It was quiet and out of the mainstream. Description says no beach access but we easily got down to the beach directly from the house. There's a path carved into the steep bank. Maybe the path's usability is weather dependent? We enjoyed sitting on the good-sized deck, visiting or snoozing in the sun. The large common area facilitated visiting whether sitting in the living room, at the dining table, or in the kitchen. A nice space for being in sight and voice-reach of each other while still feeling we could be in our own corner reading or tuning out. Dining room table was good for a game of scrabble. Plenty of seating of various types. In the entry way, we stumbled a couple of times where the floor dips; a bit of an issue but knew about it from other reviews and got used to stepping over it. The microwave was kind of funky, took a bit to figure out how to use it but I thought it was a fun thing. Very nice decor, comfortable furniture, good sleeping spaces. The bunkbed in laundry area is likely too short for some people; we used it and it was a nice option. A 2nd bathroom would have been nice but we preferred to be right on the beach with this house. Beach chairs were there for us to use. I loved the long-time family-owned background. Easy drive to Tillamook for a tour of the factory and some fresh-made icecream; worth the drive. Thanks for the good stay!

Beach trip

The location was fabulous. The beds were so comfortable. We all slept well. I didn't mind at all that the house was dated. It had some charm. When we arrived, I noticed the white bathroom rugs looked super dirty. I threw them into be washed but couldn't find any laundry soap. I used liquid dish soap instead. They were completely white and clean after that, so it was clear they hadn't been washed in a long time. That made me cringe wondering what else hadn't been cleaned. This house is not stocked like typical homes I've stayed in. You will need to purchase even the basic cooking staples if you wish to make anything. There was a tiny bit of salt and pepper. Also bring shampoo and conditioner. There is not enough for more than one person to use. Otherwise we loved the place.

The house is not impressive but it’s not bad. Access to the beach is the reason to stay here. You don’t have super great water view from the deck but it’s a short walk. May not be accessible for people with knee or ankle problems. Biggest complaint was not being able to figure out the front door lock, they emphasize no grease down the sink and there is grease can under sink… but no grease can under the sink. Also offer “complimentary dishwasher tablets” but the container is empty. All in all I think for a waterfront property and the price it’s a great stay.

Great Location but Shabby House

We loved the location on a quiet street with the beach right in your backyard. BUT the house was old and poorly maintained. The shower head was held up with packing tape and dangled at an angle that just sprayed backward at the wall. Everything was dusty and there were dirty dishes in cupboards and the bedsheets were full of hair. We might return to Rockaway Beach, but won't be staying in this house.

Great, well loved beach house

Great little house on the beach. You can get to the beach but it’s a little steep. Kitchen could use a good reorganization and some cobwebs above shower and bedroom. Shower head falls out of holder and could easily hit someone. We would definitely stay here again. Perfect for two or a small family.

Wild Beachfront

I loved this house, the kitchen was stocked with literally everything, even turkey roasting pans. Very nostalgic reminded me of family vacations in the past. We found the furnishings very comfortable and enjoyed the living room view. We saw a coyote casually walking down to the beach, eagles and seals of course. Didn’t see any whales but the fishing boats were interesting.The whole stay was wonderful and the direct beach access was great. The sand is soft so some may find it challenging.When we entered the house the floor is very sloped and uneven so be careful. Also, the steps risers are uneven but you get used to it in no time.

Great location, some issues

The location is perfect -- right on the beach. The place is clean. The fireplace is lovely, and the kids enjoyed the piano. The only downsides for us were a lot of maintenance issues: only one (out of six) electric plug worked in the kitchen, the fridge failed on us (we used the extra one in the entryway), some towel holders came right off the wall with slight pressure, the shower head holder broke, and the heater by the bunkbeds did not work (the bunkbeds are literally in the laundry room, separated from the kitchen by a (flimsy) curtain. To be clear, the local team was prompt and responsive. That said, one would expect better maintenance all around. None of this deterred us from having a good time, though.

After 6 visits over 10 years, it isn't the same

This is a rustic, well used beach house. Being able to walk directly into the sand from the back porch is really great. Be prepared for MAJOR sand in the house. The outdoor shower on the deck was great and it does help a lot with sand. The drop to the beach and climb back up from the beach is pretty steep, although fairly short, so make sure you have good knees. The house itself is well used but it was not as clean as we expected. A lot of the kitchen items are now very used and some are no longer usable (ie. can opener, I bought one and left it there). Be sure to bring your own spices, foil, cling wrap, laundry soap and dryer sheets if you care about your clothes actually getting clean. The generic soap they offer doest do the job.The chairs are old and you sink into them, the antique chairs smell, the bathroom looks nice but had an awful BO odor. LOTS of carpet stains in the bedroom. I could not get the dining room table clean. The beds were very comfy for us but they are very soft. If you prefer a firm bed, look elsewhere. By the time we left after 7 days, our backs were very sore. So much has changed in the home in the last several years since our prior stay and we won't be back. The personal trinkets throughout the house have been removed including the guest sign in books to share memories which was sad. It needs updating and a deep clean.

Great location and view!!! Some updates needed

The view and location was great. (also helps that there was great weather too!!) Some sheets stained and rough feeling so recommend replacing some of those. Otherwise very nice place!
