Do South is a custom 5 bedroom, 5.5 bath luxury beachfront home in the West Beach area of Gulf Shores. Plus you'll have FREE Golf and Activities every day of your stay to make it even better (value of up to $700/day). **Not available for Jan/Feb longer-term rentals.

On the main floor you'll find expansive views from the living and dining areas and top-of-the-line kitchen, plus a beachfront master suite, and a laundry and powder room. The top floor features a family room, four additional bedrooms and a second laundry.
The master and the two upstairs beachfront bedrooms have king beds. The lagoon view bedroom on the east side has 2 sets of bunks plus a twin trundle and sleeps 5. The west side lagoon view bedroom has a pair of extra-long full size beds.

Located on West Beach Boulevard, 4.4 miles west of Hwy 59, Do South sits on a 75' stretch of beautiful private sugar-white sand beach.

But for a rental, this was the best I have ever been in. It was more than adequately stocked with pots, pans and needed kitchen utensils and dinnerware. The view was spectacular. I realize it is a new property, but it did not lack for one single thing.A five star property all around.

The property was outstanding! The property mangement wasn't great at answering our calls! I was very unhappy that I had to pay VRBO 500.00 to book this house. I don't mind paying a small fee but that ridiculous. The house floors weren't clean and the kids rooms weren't clean around the matresses.

We did have a problem with the ice maker and freezer. We had to ask for maintenance twice, and when the man came, he said he didn't know what was wrong and didn't have any tools with him to try and fix it anyway. We managed and actually were able to get the ice maker to start working and scraped enough ice off the freezer door that it was able to get a good seal and worked better.

It exceeded all of our expectations. Expensive, but you get what you pay for!!! Hope to return next year.

Do Yourself a Favor at Do South

Reviewer Comments: I almost hate recommending this property so highly for fear of it becoming even more popular. We have stayed there two years, and are booked for 2024. The house is well apportioned and is directly on West Beach Road down far enough that there are no condos near. It's perfect if you want to get away and not fight for your beach chair spot. You can hear your own music, or not, and you don't have to worry about your children and grandchildren wandering off. My wife and I have been taking our initially small family of 5 to a now crazy group of 15 to the beach for more than 20 years. This house is well situated for some of them who drive from Texas and for us to drive down from KY. It's a great house, a great view--it only needs your car in the driveway and your chair on the beach.

The house contains everything our family needed to cook, chill and enjoy the beach and Gulf Shores. Beautiful views from the living areas and the 3 bedrooms facing the beach. So nice that each of the 5 bedrooms contains an ensuite. All kitchen items needed to cook and enjoy a family meal were provided. The rental company was very attentive to any questions or issues. We do hope to visit again very soon.

It was exceptionally clean and maintained. We could not believe how every detail was thought of ( two washers and dryers for example). I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Let me start by saying that we come to Gulf Shores at least once a year. We needed a 4/4 to accommodate two couples and two singles and this house provided that. Anything else would be a bonus. We arrived at 3 pm and the cleaning crew was still there. No problem we went to Surf Style for a while. When we returned at about 4 pm they were still cleaning but almost done. Supposedly the renters before us left a big mess and left late. When we were able to get in I checked everything out. It appeared the dishwasher was not working. The renters before us had reported it they said and they were trying to get someone out to fix it. Repair man came and couldn’t fix it. It finally got replaced on Tuesday. No communication I had to keep calling to find out what was going on. So I missed two days on the beach waiting on the dishwasher to get fixed. I also noticed that the house was not very clean. Part of the kitchen counter tops had not even been wiped down and there was sand on all of the table tops in the living room. The floors had sand on them as well. The cleaning lady didn’t vacuum up the sand on the floors just mop. The white baseboards have a build up of black dirt on them. Overall the house needs a good deep cleaning. We also had to clean the gas grill to use it. I’m only saying all of this so the owner can see what they are getting. On the positive side the house has a good floor plan. A well stocked kitchen and under the house area is good. I had never rented from GS Vacations before and doubt that I will again.

The perfect house and the perfect week

The house was even better than advertised! We were amazed at how easy the whole process was! We had one maintenance issue right after we got there but a maintenance person was there quickly and resolved the problem. We couldn’t have been happier with the house!!

This home is a little over a year old and is well maintained and very clean We had plenty of room as each living area is spacious and open. There are five good sized bedrooms and 5 private baths, plus a half bath downstairs. We have never stay in a home that was as well-stocked as this one. It is evident that the owners have given a great deal of thought to the needs of their perspective renters. The kitchen is really a pleasure to use and has top of the line appliances. The living room window wall telescopes to open up the entire wall facing the Gulf! It brings the beauty of nature right into the home. If you book this property, you will not be disappointed!
