Very nice space, would be good for larger groups. Comfortable bed. Pet friendly but note yard is not fenced and front is along a fairly busy street; a tie out is provided. Clean and situated fairly close to everything.
Absolutely loved Elaine's home. Plenty of space for our family. Some reviews mention "dated" but as someone who grew up in the area, the house is perfectly "dated". It reminds me of the houses I grew up in. House was clean and well stocked. We will be sure to stay here again on our next visit.

Beautiful area and the people are very friendly and welcoming. House was a little dated, could use a couple of updates but everything worked and has everything you can possibly need. Had a great time and would definitely stay again!
I recently had a great stay for a family reunion . The house/location was perfect.. Nice and quiet but close enough to whatever you may need.
Elaine was a great host.. very responsive and welcoming. I highly recommend!
Although parts of the house are dated. We loved the large couch and TV, side deck, comfortable beds and large bathrooms. The driveway is tough to find and tight.
Our family had a wonderful time at this property during our Boston vacation. With easy access to either the T or the Ferry, you can get into Boston wilthout driving fairly painlessles.
The property is wonderful: it's quiet and rural but at the same time has great internet speed; a perfect place to wind down after a day of sightseeing. The owner is friendly and responses to questions quickly. It was a great location for our trip.
The house was clean, comfortably furnished and well located to sights, restaurants and public transportation. The beds. We’re comfortable; closet space ample; working washing and drying machines; and well-equipped kitchen. Everything wonderful. Owner was easy to contact and very responsive to any questions.
Beautiful house and property could use some minor improvements

Thank you for your review. This house was built by my Dad in the 60's. I make new improvements every year with my rental funds. I have added a deck, new roof, new oil tank, updated bathrooms, added 2 AC mini splits and I plan to keep going. I hope you will return in the future. Elaine
We spent the better part of the summer on the property. It was a great experience! Easy access to beaches- ferry into Boston Lovely deck that was perfect to host family and friends. Elaine was a fabulous host - very attentive and responsive. Home is very comfortable - quiet neighborhood - friendly neighbors.
We will be back!
3 spacious bedrooms. 2 full baths. Kitchen seats 8 (with 2 at island). It's really helpful that the side deck has gates so you can have a dog sitting outside and not worry. Owner also has dog leads by the front door. Beds comfortable. Plenty of dishes, glasses and silverware. Large fridge. Living room has plenty of room for 8 people. Very nice there are children books and some toys. We'd definetely return.

If you come back there are 2 leaves for the dinningroom table in the master bedroom closet and some folding chairs to accommodate at least 10 at the table.
Plenty good about this house and lots of potential. Master bedroom spacious and bed comfortable. Bathrooms are fine. A lot could stand a good cleaning or replacement. Some of the rugs need replaced. Couch could use a good cleaning. Kitchen needs a clean out. Refrigerator doors filled with yucky used condiments that no one would want to use. Too much junky stuff makes it feel unkept. Deck was unusable when we got there but owner very responsive and fixed the problem quickly. Yard needs a clean up too. All in all once we settled in the house it worked for our situation and we enjoyed the stay. Would stay again.

Thank you for your feed back. This April stay was before deck weather in Massachusetts, and the yard had not yet been prepared for the season. I complete thorough cleanings between rentals and an additional spring cleaning in June. All rugs are new except in the master bedroom. Guests often appreciate the essentials I leave in the fridge, such as ketchup and mustard.

Disappointing Stay Despite Responsive HostWe booked a week here for my daughter’s Oct wedding & were very disappointed by the condition.Positives: Host communicated promptly & courteously, informing us the property had been cleaned & was ready for early check-in. When I reported serious cleanliness issues, she apologized, offered to refund the cleaning fee, & followed up to ask if we planned to stay. Since there were no other accommodations available, we remained for 4 nights & she arranged for her cleaner to return.Negatives: Property was extremely dirty & far below VRBO standards. It smelled musty & window sills were full of dust & debris. The master bath had urine under the toilet seat, toothpaste on the mirror, & mold or mildew in the shower. Floors throughout were unswept, with dirt, dust, cobwebs, & spiders. Clearly, the home had not been properly cleaned before our arrival. Before the cleaner returned, I scrubbed toilets/showers & wiped cobwebs myself. When she arrived, she was dismissive and cleaned only the specific spots I pointed out. I then re-cleaned the floors & shower, documenting the filth with video/photos shared with the host. The host explained it’s an older family home being updated gradually with a plan for “deep cleaning” & paint after our stay. I requested refunds for 3 unused nights & the cleaning fee but received no response. She later cited “utility costs” from an open window as her reason for denying a refund.Buyer beware & stay elsewhere!

I’ve hosted for years with over 20 positive reviews, many specifically noting that my property is “exceptionally clean”. I’ve had the same professional cleaner for three years and maintain a regular pest control service to ensure the property is spotless and pest-free.
After this guest raised concerns, my cleaner returned immediately to clean again, even though the home had already been prepared to our usual standards. The guest then stayed four days and left at 2:45 PM on a Sunday of a holiday weekend, though checkout is at 11 AM without notifying me she was leaving early. Unfortunately, that meant I couldn’t rent the property for the remainder of the weekend.
When she left, the heat was set to 70° and a window was open during a nor’easter, which caused unnecessary energy use and risk of weather damage.
I take great pride in keeping my home well cared for and in providing a positive guest experience, as my consistent reviews reflect.
My family travelled to the South Shore from Arizona to spend time with family during the Fall season to enjoy the beautiful New England atmosphere and foliage. This home provided a great family space that was comfortable and a good gathering place both inside and outside with a wonderful patio. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
The property owner was responsive and communicated in a timely manner. The property was perfect for our older golden retriever but renters do need to be aware the road is busy in front of the house. Awesome deck (recently added). Loved the comfortable couch (not all our VRBO’s have had comfortable sitting areas. The TV is huge and easily run with access to Netflix, Hulu, Apple, etc. Plenty of fans helped spread out the bedroom air conditioning. Remodeled bathrooms have luscious deep towels. (Note to older renters - toilet seats are low and with remodeled higher bathroom vanities it is difficult to get off the toilet seat. TMI I know but it caused a problem for us). Condiments stocked in the kitchen was much appreciated as we cooked most our meals. The welcome basket was a very nice touch. Gracious hostess!
This house is a very comfortable vintage rancher in a quiet residential neighborhood across from a cranberry bog that was flooded for harvest while we were there--doesn't get more New England than that! The purpose of our trip was to visit family in the area where I grew up so we weren't the usual tourists. Had we been tourists (and we've done this in the past), we could have easily taken the train to explore Boston, driven to Plymouth for the Pilgrim experience, ventured off to Cape Cod or visited nearby beaches in the quaint town of Scituate. Our lodging was ideal for getting together with family and just kicking back and relaxing--our intent for this trip. The owner was super-responsive and very pleasant to deal with. All in all, it was just what we expected and hoped for in a family visit. As we drove away at the conclusion of our stay, my husband remarked "I like this house. I'd stay here again"!
