About this property

Welcome to my hidden gem in plain sight in the 1000 Islands. Twin Island is loaded with all the charm and warmth a family cottage has to offer. Wether you are looking to do some ship watching, enjoy a river sunrise or sunset, fishing, touring this majestic area of the St.Lawrence river, or just want to sit on the porch and watch the river roll by, Twin island has the best of all of it. Located directly in front of historic T.I. Park, directly on the main shipping channel, 15 minutes from Clayton and Alexandria Bay, you will be right in the middle of all the 1000 Islands, with complete privacy.

There are 4 bedrooms. Three bedrooms have a queen size bed and the fourth has two queens. There is one full bath upstairs and one full bath downstairs. The living room has a queen pull out sleeper sofa and two twin pull out chairs.

You will need a boat! If you don’t have a boat, there are many boat rental places nearby in Clayton and Alexandria Bay and the surrounding areas. ( I highly recommend Mac’s boat rentals in Alexandria Bay!).The deep water side of the dock will fit a 40 foot cruiser and the inside of the dock will fit a 20 foot boat. The boat house is currently not usable.

All kitchen utensils, linens (including bath towels and beach towels) are provided. All you need to bring is a bathing suit, food, toiletries and a smile!

Highlight of our year!

This is our second year at Twin Island and again had an amazing experience. Jim is a wonderful host and continues to make improvements to the house and amenities. Everything is top-notch in comfort and quality. Highly recommend Twin Island!!

Perfect Island escape!!!

Saying this a perfect island escape is an understatement! The views outside, as well as from every room in the house are spectacular, and the pictures provided do not do it justice. My family enjoyed fishing from the dock all week long and watching the ships pass by from the deck. The house and yard are very clean and well maintained. The house is well stocked in everything you may need. Jim, the owner, is extremely friendly and personable. He met us on the island for check in with drinking water and even gave us a phone call during week to see if we were in need of anything. By far the best vacation rental I have ever had and cannot wait to go back!

Island Getaway

It has been a dream of mine to escape to an island for a week. Twin Island did not disappoint! The island was perfect! Lots of places to sit and enjoy the views. My favorite views were in the front if the house watching the sunset and the back of the house watching the ships. We spent the entire week fishing, swimming, and paddle boarding. Location was perfect right between Alex Bay and Clayton. The house itself was fully stocked with every thing we needed. Thank you so much for sharing your island with our family! We hope to return again soon!
