Comfortable, cozy, and clean house. The pool as very clean and refreshing. The hosts were very responsive about answering questions in a timely manner.
Just the place we needed to relax and catch up with family and friends. Would love to book again in the summer when the pool is open. Great communication with host! Great place.
Beautiful clean house - responsive owners. Our children loved visiting the animals nearby. Quick drive to nearby state parks - Elephant Rock State Park is worth visiting to explore.
We traveled here for a week long stay. We had 6 adults and one child.
The property was just as listed and everyone enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We made most our meals and the kitchen was stocked appropriately. Linda was an excellent host and responded very quickly to our questions/concerns.
We had planned a weekend of hiking nearby with our adult kids and their spouses and this house was the perfect place to stay. It had everything we needed - comfortable beds, plenty of room, great kitchen, lovely location and a hot tub to ease those sore muscles. Very peaceful and quiet too. Our host was prompt to reply and very helpful. Would stay here again.
We booked Bluebird Meadows for a family vacation with our three adult kids, son-in-law and two granddaughters. The property is beautiful, and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Lots of fun activities nearby; Johnson's Shut-Ins, Elephant Rocks, Castor River Shut-ins, Tiemann Shut-Ins and Millstream Gardens, St. Joe State Park, and more. We really enjoyed the in-ground pool and hot tub. The kitchen was well-appointed, and the accommodations were comfortable and clean. We loved watching their Dexter cattle and watching deer on the acreage. We definitely recommend Bluebird Meadows!
We had an amazing stay. The house was perfect for our needs, plenty of beds and extra space for a large family. The pool area was inviting and would have spent a lot of time there if we hadn't come in the winter. Instead we spent a lot of time walking through the 100 acres and petting/feeding the animals. Owners were wonderful as well, great communication and very friendly. If we are back in the area we will definitely stay here again!
Very nice place to stay and we were the second group to stay there. If we mentioned something was missing it was there the next morning. Great place and Great host.
We stayed for the weekend for a sibling get together! The house is beautiful! The hostess is awesome! Quick responses to my questions! We had a great, relaxing weekend! Only recommendation I would have is to have the pool and hot tub more handicap friendly. Otherwise great place. Will definitely consider staying here again! Thank you so much!!
We loved our stay! The house was perfect - very clean, spacious and comfortable. Children loved the pool and there is a lovely sitting area around the pool. Great communication. Location was not quite as remote as we had imagined as it sits on the very front of the property along a road, but it still worked out well - very quiet and conveniently located to so many great state parks to explore.
Over 100% one of the cleanest properties we have ever stayed at! Hostess provided plenty of towels (outdoor & indoors), toiletries, dishwasher tabs, and trash bags. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Property is beautiful and relaxing! Everything from watching sunset from the hottub, to playing games around the table, and feeding the horses apples we had a fantastic time!!!
The House was beautiful and as pictured. It was a perfect place to stay and use as home base for the hiking we did in the area. We went to Elephant Rock, Taum Sauk Mountain/Waterfall, and Johnson Shut Ins all within a short driving distance. My family enjoyed the pool and Hot Tub after our hikes! Close to Farmington which has many stores and restaurants. The owner’s dog blue is so sweet! We will definitely be back!
This property was amazing. All of us were stunned by how beautiful, clean and well laid out everything was. The kitchen was fully functional. There were 4 bedrooms. This allowed 4 friends from across the nation to finally get together and reconnect.
This property is beautiful and very well maintained. My family of six adults stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The pool and hot tub were used daily, especially after a long day of hiking and adventuring in the nearby parks like Elephant Rocks and Johnson's Shut-Ins. Beds are comfortable and the space is welcoming. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils and equipment -- even a crock-pot! The owners are nearby and were extremely helpful when a car battery surprisingly died and required a jump-start (thanks again!). We would most definitely stay here again.
Linda is absolutely amazing and completely makes sure that you feel welcomed at her rental. She is close by and very quick to answer questions about the property and the home. Her dogs were very friendly and the kids enjoyed visiting with them. They also enjoyed feeding the horses and the pool. I can not wait to come back and enjoy this house again. It was well stocked and very clean. The pool was absolutely enjoyable!
Spent a long weekend with sisters and cousins. Couldn’t ask for a better place to relax and enjoy the peaceful quiet surroundings. I have never stayed at a place that provided so many extras in the bathrooms and kitchen. We spent time relaxing around and in the pool, gathered around the dining table playing games and sitting in the spacious living room watching TV. Have it already marked as a repeat house for our annual cousins get together.
We met life-long friends for a weekend get together. Having spent lots of time floating and camping in the nearby state parks and rivers when we were all younger, the location was a perfect choice. The property is clean, spacious, up-to-date, and comfortably decorated. The house is laid out uniquely allowing for privacy when desired, but also gathering space with the large Family Room and Kitchen/Dining rooms. The pool is beautiful and patios inviting. We had a very enjoyable time and highly recommend. Hoping to come back soon.
We stayed for a week while we explored Elephant Rock and Johnson Shut-ins State parks. Easy 70 min drive to the Gateway Arch and City Museum in St. Louis. Bonne Terre Mine for tours or scuba was 25 min drive. Pool was wonderful-- deep & big enough for teenagers to play & swim, but with shallower ledges around to sit or for smaller kids to stand on. Lovely outdoor area around the pool included hot tub, pergola, and outdoor dining area. Host was very responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Lots of sleeping options- 3 queen/king beds, a daybed and trundle, and the kid's room with 3 twin beds. In the country, but only 10 min away from a variety of restaurants and walmart. Loved our stay- and hope to return in the future!
This is a beautiful, relaxing home with everything You will need to recharge yourself and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings house. Owners were very accommodating. Pool and hot tub were fabulous and beds. Very comfortable.. I have one caution for renters .pay attention to every rule in the renters manual and take them all seriously!!! I was charged a significant fee upon leaving as I moved two chairs to two different rooms to accommodate our needs and moved two beds in one room to a different wall in the other room :( owner has every right to the rules. I am not complaining about that. I read all the rules when I got there and all rules before discharge, but did not notice the furniture rule upon discharge. I certainly would’ve spent the five minutes moving those pieces of furniture to avoid the $250 charge !!!!so be aware !!pay attention to the rules , other than that, it’s a wonderful place to stay and I would highly recommend
