We still marvel that -- less than 10 miles from the US Capitol -- one can live amidst such natural beauty. We see deer and fox playing in the woods behind our home regularly and our kids love to fish in the creek where on occasion we've seen a bald eagle swoop in to catch fish as well. Meanwhile, the front of the house is on the end of a quiet cul de sac, from which a trail leads off to the nearby Lake Barcroft. With the recently renovated and very open kitchen-dining room-living room, the expansive deck overlooking the woods behind, and the wonderful surroundings, we love this haven just a short distance from the energy of the city.
