About this property
Home on the Lake AND Snowmobile / ATV Trails
Come enjoy Meraki Bay! A 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath home on popular Nelson Lake.
The home was completely updated in 2021.
Situated on a large 1 1/2 acre lot, the home boasts 165 feet of footage in a quiet bay on the Southeast side of the 2700-acre lake. The large yard has room for outdoor sports, grilling, or a campfire. The private dock allows you to fish without leaving home or dock your boat for your stay. Nelson Lake is known for bass, walleye, and pan fish. It also great for pontooning and water skiing. We have purchased 2 brand new Old Town Fishing Kayaks which are available to rent during your stay. There are multiple resorts located right on the lake to boat up or drive up for dining or drinks.
The living room and kitchen boast beautiful views of the lake. This is a great place to start your morning with coffee and end your evening with a gorgeous view of the stars.
The home is designed for 4 adults, but could sleep up to 6. (4 Adults & 2 Children/teenagers)
Bedroom 1 has a queen-sized bed.
Bedroom 2 has a queen-sized bed and twin bunk beds.
Bathroom 1 has a toilet, sink, and shower / tub combo.
Bathroom 2 has a toilet and sink and is located in Bedroom 2.
The home has a fridge, stove, microwave, coffee pot, and tv (with Netflix and a Chromecast). Additional kitchen appliances like a blender and crockpot are also included. It is climate-controlled with a furnace and central air conditioning. The living room and dining room both open up to a wrap-around porch.
The home is located directly on Snowmobile Trail 4 and Snowmobile / ATV Trail 19. It is less than 3 miles from thousands of acres of Sawyer County land.
While there is plenty to do right at the home, it is also close to several destinations including 6.2 miles from Hayward, 6.9 miles to Seely, 14 miles from Cable, and 30 miles from Spooner.
Close to lakes, trails, resorts, recreation, shopping, the casino, and festivals. Notable nearby attractions include the Birkebeiner trail and the Chippewa Flowage.

About the host
Hosted by George Eliopoulos

We are George and Heidi and we are so happy to have you considering Meraki Bay for your stay. Meraki is a Greek word with no exact translation, but it essentially means to love something so much you leave a piece of yourself in it. Meraki is a word we live by in work and in play. We only recently began sharing Meraki Bay with others. We hope you love it as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
Our location will provide you as much at-home quiet time as you would like with tons of options for fishing, snomobiling, atving, waterplay, kayaking, boating, and exploring. The quiet bay offers privacy while having convenient access to the entertainment and activities that Hayward provides. The lake house is located on 1.5 acres with 165 feet of frontage. It has a private dock.
What makes this property unique
Meraki Bay is only five minutes away from all that the Hayward area has to offer but has the privacy and seclusion of a private property. Drive right from the cabin onto the atv & snomobile trails.
