Fantastic for a family

For a family of 14 age ranges from less than 1 year old to 60+ this place had everything we wanted, the kids loved the pool and games, the the adults loved the hot tub, large table and kids room big enough for all of the kids.

Poolin Around was a great home for our annual family vacation. Everyone had room to spread out and rest after being active all day. The hot tub was relaxing and the fire pit was a perfect hangout spot.

Great space for groups

My husband and I are youth pastors and we took our students here on a retreat. The location was great for us and everything worked according to the listing. It had everything we needed in the kitchen except a working can opener. We did run out of TP and the cabin is a bit dusty and could use a good deep cleaning but it didn’t hinder our fun at all. There’s a great outdoor space and entertaining space indoors. It’s just a 10 minute drive to some nice hiking trails and there’s a dollar general right down the road for necessities you forget!

Family friendly, but property could use some love & heavy clean.

All parties enjoyed the vacation & the house was large. No fuss home. Easy to keep tidy & low pressure since it far from pristine. We loved the location. Close to hikes & an easy drive to the tourist towns. Overall, we felt the price of the house even with the amenities (pool, hot tub) was not the best value. We loved the yard & giant kitchen table. Problem #1: Property is not clean & a bit worn. We spent a bit of time wiping down surfaces & were not hindered in fun or relaxation, but we suspect there was no cleaning between rentals. Examples: •lots of hair in bathrooms •extremely dirty windows & glass doors •scents from other people’s perfume/ products in one bed •litter around the exterior •Plastic confetti in pool •moldy shower curtains •left over debris from last renters under couches, in corners Problem #2: Service people showing up unannounced. •our first day a cleaner showed up and asked to vacuum all the rugs & take pictures. We had a baby sleeping, a mother napping, and one adult watching kids in the pool. So it was inconvenient & strange, but also disruptive. •easter morning during our brunch another person showed up to cut the grass. We had to stop and clean up our lawn toys & had the buzzing of the lawn mower as background noise for our well planned & executed holiday brunch. Very annoying. •our 3rd morning chainsaw buzzing rattled the quiet morning for several hours, starting around 8 AM

Expected more for price

On our way to the rental, I received a text from property manager (PM) saying that due to the termination of her cleaning crew, our rental was being changed to an upgraded version of what we rented. The rental was not identical and not an upgrade. It was dirty. Floor was unclean. Ceiling fans throughout appeared as though they had never been cleaned. There was ceiling fan type of filth on the ceiling in kitchen where the vented hood blew. No lighting in back and no chairs around fire pit like our chosen rental. Cobwebs were on the lighting in the house. The washer and dryer were hard to get started and we’re filled mold and lent. Dryer exhaust vent had lent blowing out and is fire hazard. The bathtubs backed up the entire time they were being used. The hot tub was not clean or sanitized like a pool. The pool was clean but didn’t smell clean with the chlorine. There were places in the floor that seemed soft underneath the flooring. The media room couldn’t be used because the smell wouldn’t leave. We bought Febreze and it just wouldn’t go away. We were bummed that it wasn’t like the pics. Pool table felt was very old. Lotta money spent and expected much more. 😏

I love the mountains and the privacy of the cabin. The cabin is located in a secluded resort setting. It has a private heated swimming pool inside the cabin, a movie theater, and a game room. The ease of access from I-40 is also a huge benefit to guests driving in.

What makes this property unique

Imagine looking over your shoulder and into the swimming pool room! This cabin has its own private swimming pool with two glass walls looking out into the woods of the national park! A movie theater and a game room is located on the second floor and there is a private hot tub on the back deck. I love sitting on the large front porch and enjoying the quiet private front wooded yard. You can even hike down to a running stream behind the neighborhood. The cabin is just 14 miles to the Gatlinburg city limits, with easy access from I-40 or Gatlinburg with well maintained roads that are relatively flat and wide. There are no steep, winding, narrow roads here. There are lots of trails and hiking nearby too.
