Thank you Kevin, glad you and your wife enjoyed our place.
Property is a beautifully made log home. Remote, peaceful and wonderful escape full of wildlife. Perfect fit for those who love the outdoors and want to explore the North Fork area. Seen, bear, elk, deer and grouse. Wildflowers galore.
House is amazing. If you are looking for solitude and quiet, this is your place. Good communication with owner and she is very helpful. House is clean with all modern conveniences. We loved it! It is way off the beaten path but exactly what we hoped for.
Beautifully maintained cabin in a very private, remote wilderness with spectacular mountain views! Marguerite provided excellent communication, along with precise directions. Her pristine property has all the amenities for a comfortable & enjoyable vacation - comfy beds, loungy couches with AMAZING views, 2 full bathrooms, Roku TV, an exquisite pool table and a kitchen ready to be used for cooking meals. It was too warm for the wood burning & gas fireplaces, but I can only imagine how cozy they are in the cooler months. Take advantage of the Polebridge Mercantile daily for delicious, fresh-baked pastries before heading for a day of adventure in Glacier National Park. On the way back, grab a bite at the Northern Lights Saloon right next door or stop in at Home Ranch Bottoms for their nachos & live music. You definitely need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to tackle the rugged terrain of North Fork Road, but once you get there and experience the wildlife - moose & bear crossing the road, and see the majestic glacier-capped mountains, it is well worth it!
If you want a complete quiet getaway spot, this ones for you. We thoroughly enjoyed our time just enjoying nature. Plenty of opportunity to explore on foot (just remember your bear spray). The house is perfect for 4 people. There are several outdoor seating areas to enjoy the mountain air. We even had some deer run through the property.
Cabin was amazing!!!! The kitchen and cabin had everything that was needed. Downstairs bed was very comfortable! We didn’t have hot water, pilot light had been blown out I’m guessing from the open windows but even after it was lit the next day we barely got warm water. Host did offer for us to use shower at her INN at West Glacier. Was only able to get lukewarm water for 2 showers, rest of showers were not fun and had to heat up water on stove to wash dishes. Host is working on getting that fixed by next summer and once that is fixed the cabin will be 10/10. The main road to cabin road is over 40 miles and after a rain it is horrible and takes 2 hours to get to cabin road. Make sure your vehicle is ready for a beating. The views along the drive and from cabin are amazing. If you are looking for an escape from the busy day to day life this cabin is a must! Sit on couch or one of the decks and enjoy nature. We seen bears (about 3-5 miles down the road), bobcat (3-5 miles down road), chipmunks and lots of deer. Was able to watch the deer every morning and evening from kitchen window.
The cabin afforded every comfort in such a secluded place. Make sure you drive a vehicle that can handle the very rocky and washboardy roads in Polebridge. Get your groceries and gas in Columbia Falls before you go to the cabin, as there are no groceries or gas stations in Polebridge. The owner, Marguerite Kaminski, responds quickly to any questions.

Thanks. The road is variable, but does get graded from time to time to make it smoother.

Sorry, Gene, the property was not to your liking or expectations. We have had many satisfied customers.
This is an impressive home in a very remote part of Montana. If you are looking to get off the grid this is your area. Be prepared for a rough drive and be sure to bring all of your supplies as getting to a store is not a close option.
Enjoy this oasis in the woods with plenty of hiking and fishing surrounding you and your guests.
