Hello! We are Zach & Stephanie, owners and operators of Take Me to the Sea Rentals.
Thank you for considering a visit to one of our beach houses in Surfside Beach, Texas.
We moved to the Village of Surfside Beach in the Fall of 2018 and fell in love with the village, the neighbors and the beach. The Hokey Pokey Clinic was our first house in Surfside. We took great care into making it our full-time home.
Zach and I believe the Driftwood Ct neighborhood is one of the best in town. Quiet, yet close to the action and easy access to the beautiful beach. It was hard moving from the Hokey Pokey Clinic, even though we are only a few minutes down the beach. So, when our second rental on Driftwood Court became available, Morning Dew, we knew we had to have it too. You see, Zach and I have traveled many places in the World and prefer to stay in short term rental properties so we can experience “life like a local”. We often fantasized about owning a rental of our own and how we would run it. Now that our fantasy has come true, we would love to share “life like a local” in Surfside with you, your family and friends. We take great pride in our homes by setting up the perfect experience with the utmost attention to details.

Why they chose this property
Park your car and give it a vacation too. A very short walk to many vacation amenities; Sharkies Bar & Grill, Seahorse Bar & Grill, Red Snapper Inn, Beachfront Bar & Grill, and Surfside Liquor. Enjoy the quiet dead-end street that culminates at the neighborhood beach walkover. Surf fishing right over the walkover, catch blue crabs at the pier, grab a board and a wave, spy a couple dolphins surfacing in the waves, or just sit back and relax. Your options are endless.
What makes this property unique
Welcome to The Morning Dew!! Here are some tips to help make your stay more enjoyable.
Getting Here - Surfside Beach has 2 points of entry, from Galveston along the coast and over San Luis Pass ($2 fee), or South on 332 through Lake Jackson. If your arrival is on a Friday, Saturday, or on a holiday weekend then traffic can get heavy. We suggest you cross the Intercostal bridge into town before 4pm. Arrive early, park in our driveway and walk around a bit. Plenty to see within a few blocks away. There is a Buc-ees store located a few miles from Surfside that you will pass if coming in from the north. They have beach supplies, fishing gear and frozen baits, fresh food, and gas. You will also pass 3 live bait shops just before the bridge into town if you like to fish.
Things to Bring - We supply most necessities for a short stay (bedding/pillows, 7 bath towels, soap, shampoo (hotel size), TP (one roll), dish soap, kitchen towels, and a jug of water). You will probably need to pack/buy more drinking water (Surfside water isn't very good) and paper products depending on length of stay and number of guests. Bug spray is important. If we get rain, the mosquitos come out. Bring charcoal and lighter for grilling. Sometimes there may be leftover from other guests, but not guaranteed. We will have basic spices and condiments, and there is a small grocery in town for anything specific needed. Lastly, bring your TV inputs for Amazon, AppleTV, etc. TV has HDMI inputs.
We have an amazing guest book that we happily share with you after booking. It has a ton of information to help plan your trip!
