Welcome to Little Star Cabin! Experience a peaceful and relaxing retreat in a small wooded community on beautiful Lake Goshorn just two miles from downtown Saugatuck. Little Star is the perfect destination for families, romantic get aways or gatherings with friends.
Little Star offers 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, comfortable living area with a gas burning fireplace, fully stocked kitchen, screened in back porch, fire pit, charcoal grill and more!
Just 200 steps from the front door is the lake - perfect for swimming, fishing, paddle boarding and kayaking. You can also spend time relaxing along the private association beach or sit on the pier and fish.
You can hop on your bike and easily ride the trail downtown to take in the art, shopping, spas and wonderful restaurants.
The beautiful shoreline of Lake Michigan is only 2 miles north west and the well know beaches, Oval and Douglas are within a 4 minute drive. Make sure to take in the beautiful sunsets, climb the steps to Mt Baldy for the amazing views or take the exciting Dune Jeep Tours.
There are endless opportunities for fun and relaxation in all seasons at Little Star.

Family Vacation

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was quiet and private, yet close to all things Saugatuck has to offer. The cabin was clean and well stocked. We hope to come back again.

Great place + great location!

We absolutely loved our stay at Little Star! The cabin is beautiful and immaculate. Lots of nice touches and well stocked. Really appreciated the beach chairs and towels. So close to downtown Saugatuck but far enough to be peaceful and quiet. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect Oasis

This cabin was perfect! It was somehow nicer than the pictures, and nestled in a tiny patch of forest. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, but such a short drive into town, or to the lakeshore. We all got there and our only regret was that our stay wasn’t longer!

Little Star is a Big Star

Great place for a girls long weekend. Cabin was cozy. My favorite place was the screened in back porch, where we spent most of our time when we were not out exploring Saugatuck and Douglas. It was a nice getaway. Thanks!

The host was wonderful and the cabin was beautiful. Unfortunately, friends and family members in our group were constantly harassed by the president of the HOA when trying to unpack their cars and get situated, for parking incorrectly, etc. It seemed to be nonstop and made it difficult to relax and enjoy the weekend. We were several families that rented cabins because our kids were getting married in the are and we were trying to accommodate our elderly family members as well as organize a wedding weekend for friends and family. We were not loud or disrespectful in any manner so it would have been nice to have been welcomed and treated more respectfully. Mostly we were there to sleep. It seems as if the owners in the neighborhood do not welcome renters. Perhaps this is something that should be addressed amongst the HOA members. As a cottage owner myself, I found it disappointing overall and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. This is not a reflection of the host, she was lovely.

Wonderful Property

We could not have imagined a better property for our stay. The kids and adults both loved it. We spent tons of time swimming in the lake and enjoyed having a bonfire in the backyard. Little to no traffic where the house is located. Very well appointed kitchen.

Cozy and comfortable

We had such a lovely time at Little Star. It was the perfect retreat after our long days out and about. Everyone enjoyed the cozy beds and living room. The kitchen was very well equipped and we cooked most of our meals. The washer and dryer were very convenient. Everything was clean and organized. Our hostess was easy to contact.

Little Star Cabin for Tulip Time Festival

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Star Cabin. The S’mores Kit and Popcorn left by the host were such a nice touch! The beds were very comfortable. It was the perfect location between Holland & Saugatuck. A few of the lights didn’t always work .. downstairs bedroom and upstairs bathroom. We’ll definitely recommend to others! Thanks for a wonderful time!

Quaint cabin getaway

The cabin was just what we were looking for. The kitchen was well stocked, we didn’t even have to make any last minute runs to the corner store! The neighborhood was quiet and low key, we even felt safe letting our 6 and 8 year old walk down to Goshorn lake on their own. The beach is small but perfect because it’s only for the guests of the community. We actually preferred it over the beaches on Lake Michigan, and the water was warmer! Erin was an excellent host, very responsive and attentive. You won’t regret booking at Little Star!

Little star has my heart

Had such a great experience at Little Star Cabin. My husband and I stayed here with 3 little ones that are under 3 years old and felt like the space was toddler friendly and provided us enough (safe!) space for them to explore. Their favorite thing about the cabin was pointing at all the little ducks that Erin had hidden amongst the lake home. Had no need to reach out for assistance during our stay since our welcome letter provided all necessary information, and all amenities (firepit/tv/laundry/beach toys and noodles) were readily equipped for us to freely use with ease. Random thing that was noted… kleenex that was provided was ‘with lotion’- very random and small, however… this little thing shows demonstrates their care and attention to detail. Thanks for having us, we will be back!

The perfect place to stay in Saugatuck

Our family had our first vacation in 2 years here, and it was the perfect spot. From the time of booking until our arrival, Erin was very quick to respond to messages. She seemed very motivated to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Ahead of our trip she sent a detailed information packet about the property and she also made suggestions for activities in the area (Highly recommend the Dune Rides that are less than 5 min away!). We were very pleased on arrival. The property was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. Our group of 8 was able to stay here comfortably. We really enjoyed the screened in porch, bbq'd on the patio, and spent time at the fire pit. We appreciated the beach towels and toys that were also provided (thanks Erin for the Smores supplies in the welcome basket!). There is a small private beach on Goshorn lake that is in walking distance and was easy to share with the neighboring cabins. The area was quiet and secluded. The Wifi was excellent. The beds were comfortable. I thought the guestbook was a sweet touch, it was fun to read about other families' stay there. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Saugatuck!

Loved the location. Close to Saugatuk & Fennville. House has a great layout, wonderful screened in porch and backyard area. Lots of extras included that you normally don’t see with a rental!! The owner thought of everything. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

What a gem! My three girlfriends and I enjoyed a three night stay at The Little Star Cabin, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The cabin is beautiful and feels more like staying in the home of a friend than in a rental. It was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with so many extras, towels, beach chairs, laundry soap, and more. Erin is incredibly generous with the amenities she provides her guests.The location is perfect too: just a short half mile walk to grab ice cream or coffee, a 7 minute drive to downtown Saugatuck, and only 9 minutes to the stunning Oval Beach. Thank you, Erin, for making our stay so comfortable and memorable.

Perfect Saugatuck getaway

Our family of 5 had the BEST time staying at this cabin in Saugatuck The neighborhood is peaceful and beautifully maintained. The cabin was exactly as described in the listing- it had everything we needed and then some! We all enjoyed Goshorn Lake, Dune rides, and exploring downtown Saugatuck. We were also only 15 minutes from Holland. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay. Truly, this has been our favorite Vrbo stay and one of the best family vacations we’ve had

Great cabin!

Great cabin with lots of room! Loved the screened in porch and fire pit. Sectional was very comfy and many a nap was taken! Walk to the beach path for Lake Goshorn access; we easily rode our bikes into downtown Saugatuck. Would stay again!
