About this property

Avventura Chalet | 5BR + Hot Tub + Rec Room Near Mt. Baker | Sleeps 10

Summary:

Gather your group at Avventura Chalet, a 5 bedroom Snowline retreat about 25–30 minutes from Mt. Baker Ski Area. Sleeps 10 in 4 queen beds and 1 double bed, with a private 6 person hot tub, gas fireplace, basement rec room, spacious kitchen, deck with BBQ and gas fire table, and fast fiber WiFi. Three levels give families and friends room to spread out, then come back together after a day on the mountain.

The Space:

Avventura Chalet gives families and friends something especially valuable near Mt. Baker: five private bedrooms, room for 10, and three levels of living space so everyone can stay together without feeling crowded.

Set inside Snowline, a peaceful gated mountain community in Glacier, the chalet is approximately 25-30 minutes from Mt. Baker Ski Area and makes an easy home base for ski weekends, winter getaways, hiking trips, and year-round North Cascades adventures.

The main floor is the heart of the home. Gather around the gas fireplace after a day on the mountain, settle in for dinner, or cook together in the spacious, fully equipped kitchen. This level also includes a queen bedroom, full bathroom, and direct access to the deck.

Outside, the private 6-person hot tub is ready for après ski soaks beneath the trees. The deck also includes a BBQ and gas fire table, giving your group another place to spend time together when the weather cooperates.

Downstairs, two queen bedrooms share the level with a separate rec room and movie lounge featuring a Smart TV and board games. It is an especially useful setup for families and multi generational groups, giving kids, teens, movie watchers, or night owls their own place to relax while the main living room stays available upstairs.

The upper floor includes another queen bedroom, one bedroom with a full/double bed, and the home's second full bathroom.

Sleeping Layout

•Basement Bedroom 1: Queen bed

•Basement Bedroom 2: Queen bed

•Main Floor Bedroom: Queen bed

•Upper Bedroom 1: Queen bed

•Upper Bedroom 2: Full/double bed

•Maximum occupancy: 10 guests

With five separate bedrooms and no need to turn a common area into sleeping space, Avventura Chalet works particularly well for families traveling together, groups of friends, and ski crews who want both privacy and shared gathering space.

Fast fiber WiFi makes streaming and staying connected easy, while the fireplace, hot tub, rec room, and multiple living areas make staying in almost as enjoyable as heading out.

Snowline borders the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest and offers a peaceful forest setting with walking paths, playground and open field, tennis courts, clubhouse, and nearby river access areas. The community's outdoor pool is a seasonal summer amenity and is not available during fall and winter.

In winter, Mt. Baker skiing and snowboarding are approximately 25–30 minutes away. Come home from the mountain, leave the gear for the day, sink into the hot tub, light the fireplace, and settle in for dinner and a movie with your group.

Good to Know

Parking is limited to three vehicles in the driveway, and Snowline does not permit road parking. The driveway is sloped, and AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended during winter when snow and ice are possible.

Cell service can be limited in the Glacier area. The home has high speed fiber internet, although mountain weather can occasionally affect power or communications.

For larger grocery trips, we recommend stocking up in Bellingham before heading toward the mountains. Smaller markets and restaurants are available along Mt. Baker Highway.

Avventura Chalet is a comfortable, spacious base for sharing the best of Mt. Baker together, from powder days and hot tub nights to summer trails and quiet weekends beneath the evergreens.

Property was in a nice location but we had few issues when it came to restroom locks. No lock was working in the restrooms and all the plates and pans were dirty. We had to clean that up upon our arrival and manage without restroom locks during our stay.

Great location, beautiful home

We stayed here as a launching pad to ski at Mt Baker. Overall, we enjoyed the house (clean, kitchen well stocked, nice layout). There was an issue with the heaters not working in the basement, but the management team was responsive and provided portable heaters. Note that two of the rooms have bunk beds stored in them which makes the rooms feel very squishy (not well represented in the listing photos).

Great space for 2 families but could improve on some things.

We loved the spacious living, dining, and kitchen areas, with enough rooms for two families and a nice hot tub. The fridge was a good size, and the mudroom was great for storing our gear. However, we only used the main and upper levels since the basement smelled musty. The bed in the basement that my son and I shared had a large stain we noticed on the last day, and the air quality wasn’t great. Some friends with dust allergies had a hard time, and the bunk beds weren’t usable. Although they mentioned it but internet was very inconsistent. Should consider Starlink if it markets it as luxury.

This was a beautiful home and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, except we needed more kitchen towels. Plenty of plates and cooking utensils/pots/pans. The grill was very nice. The main level and upper level sleeping areas were great. No closets, but had hooks to hang clothes (although some were over the countertops and could only be used for short items). Beds were comfortable. There was drawer and counter space. We thought that some end tables in the living room would be nice. The downstairs was extremely musty and damp. 2 of the bedrooms were down there. We did have 2 of our party stay down there, but it was pretty miserable. There is a dehumidifier, but it didn't help enough. I would not rent this home again ONLY for this reason, the rest was great! The property managers were amazing, went above and beyond. They checked in on us on our 1st morning and dropped off more Tony's coffee packets at the house to get us through the weekend. We felt well taken care of. Everything was very simple. The neighborhood was nice and had well kept streets.
